My Review of Brawl 84
Well, the hammer swings back to the P2W crowd this week with a big money brawl. Fantastic opportunity to test out a ton of mechanics and have some insane results. As has been pointed out, infinite combos abound, incredible Yogg and Jade potential as well. On the plus side, I was able to get the pack on all my F2P accounts with a simple hunter deck. Rogue serves as the dark horse this week - Beneath the Grounds spoils all the Reno Jackson andKazakus fun, but does it have what it takes against other classes? Some tips:
In summary, a great new brawl, one of the better ones. Don't miss it or you will be sorry when it's portals next week.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
I am now playing 100% astral druid. I think the last 9-10 games were all astral druid.
So. Yeah this is a massive failure in that respect.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - Sneak Review! http://www.thepoxbox.com/challenges.php?id=batmanvsuperman
Freeze mage is great here. Just Ice Block, Reno to heal, get off an Emperor tick or two, Evolved Kobold and chain Frostbolts and Ice Lances for an OTK. Throw in an Arcane Intellect and some stall and you're good. I typically win around turn 8-9 with 30+ burst from hand. Patches the Pirate is also great to thin your deck a bit and clean up your discovers. Frost Nova+Doomsayer for clears and you're good to go
its a pretty good tavern brawl but sometimes the matches get really really drawn out. i had one game last 40 minutes
I think the best deck is "Miracle Mage". You can win every game on 6 mana with 3 sorcerer's apprentice + arcane intellect + frostbolt, ice lance, forgotten torch, roaring toarch. If you somehow miss lethal you can frost nova, ice block, and set up duplicate so you get the sorcerer's apprentice's back and can try again next turn. I've only lost to the opponent playing Loatheb on exactly turn 5 and every following turn until they have lethal.
I've seen other people play this but I've seen no other duplicates which I think is the best card in the deck after sorcerer's apprentice. It allows you to play duplicate on turn 3 then play sorcerer's apprentice early on turn 4 with arcane intellect so you're not just sitting there waiting on combo pieces the entire game. After adding duplicate I've never failed to have 3 sorcerer's apprentices on turn 6.
Leper Gnome Combo Rogue
Counterfeit Coin, Shadowstep, Conceal, Leper Gnome, Patient Assassin (or other removal), Eviscerate, Brann Bronzebeard, Acolyte of Pain, Unearthed Raptor, Emperor Thaurissan
Really fun to play and actually pretty decent if you get the combo. You achieve it by stacking up on cards (Combo cards: Leper Gnome, Raptors, Shadowstep, Conceal, Brann, etc.) and then play emperor followed by a dump on his face the following turn

Warlock Fun! 12 -1 today.
Reno is extra scummy in this one. Well done, Blizzard.
Freeze mage worked fantastic. One thing to consider..Gadgetzan Auctioneer is an AWFUL card for this setup. It eventually fills your hand with Examine and there is nothing you can do about it.
Just Play secret hunter Take all secrets leeroy Eagle bow and Cloaked Huntress ez win maybe lose to Reno
6/10 wins
Deathlord pulled my Auctioneer and i lost. GG Blizzard
Is there a priest deck that can stand a chance in this brawl now that we have astral druid and anyfin paladin? Those are the most annoying decks to face.
This brawl is so broken. A druid did 24 damage in one turn without having minions on board at the start of turn. Another proof that heroes need more hitpoints.
Honestly, I love this brawl.
There's just so much you can do.
Why Rogue is my favourite class:
My submission for this week's card design competition.
My miracle style giant rogue:
Looks pretty meh / scraped together, but i wanted to be able to stall - since with enough stalling it's easy to win with the infinite free stealthed giants. Rogue has trouble with AOE of course.. You need to fight off zoo decks and people playing elise etc.. I mostly found competition in other infinite value decks esp jade decks.
The weasel was just for memes, I have also ganged up giants but it's too much of a dead card early on - i guess weasel is, too.
Had tried with Edwin van Cleef but no more big minions should be needed and it turned out to be a little annoying to focus on comboing as well - all time needed is for discovering either 1 conceal, coins or giants with auctioneer and pumping em out. you will be roping a lot.
Yes some games are very drawn out, but i don't mind, still interesting to see how it pans out. Not boring like some other drawn-out brawls in the past. Excellent brawl!!
Overloaded Mana Addict
Best brawl ever!!
Fly the moon and reach for the stars
How about this approach? I feel really safe against my opponent.
Had some fun cockblocking jade decks and any other decks that couldn't burn me down in one turn from hand.
Kind of interesting , that brawl created more playable decks than Gadgetzan.
