Was playing a wild version of this, and the opponent couldn't beat me despite silencing 3x Defense Crystals. The survivability is amazing, but being extreme attrition all games will take their time.
Maybe it's been mentioned before but nerfing a few mage cards only had a minor impact on spell mage(perhaps it was intended to avoid killing it) and with the new expansion, elemental mage is stronger than ever. So in a way that nerf paved the way for elemental mage, and mage was quite weak only a year ago, so I can see what they are doing.
I don't understand this post. Are you equating Rogue skins to Rogues viability? There's no comparison there since they're separate teams. If you're talking about Rogue being weak or strong, Shaffar Rogue has had amazing play patterns, so Rogue isn't weak at all
What world are you from? It could be coincidence but I haven't even encountered this Shaffar Rogue in ranked. Rogue is at the bottom on HSReplay and not even present on Meta Stats http://metastats.net/. The part about the skin was a joke, although far-fetched. I don't expect people to understand.
I had a look at Shaffar Rogue and it looks interesting, but the fact that it depends on one card makes it inconsistent, which is probably why it's an off-meta deck. Difficult to play but once you get it rolling it can be amazing(assuming only tempo-wise). It also has no late game value and any Reno deck would shrug it off as a minor nuisance.
I'm not completely serious with the title, but rogue is the most underrepresented class in this expansion and has been for some time now, mainly because it fails to compete. So instead of boosting a few rogue cards they give us this cool new rogue skin instead? xD
I realize they are trying to distribute the skins evenly and that they don't really care if people play rogue or not, but they can't let it die completely either.
I don't know if it's just a temporary thing with bad rng or if the meta has changed on higher rank(I recently got into platinum). I used to have high win rate with Rainbow Shaman(and it also has high win rates on deckbuilding sites like HSReplay or Meta Stats), but now I'm suddenly facing a lot of 40 health control decks that always manages to clear the board, and in the end game I can't compete.
It's either that or a pain warlock who gets a big board before me. Big Spell Mage is still effective though. What is your experience with this lately?
I went d5 to legend not even one loss with highlander Druid. Granted it was a good run but also mana ramp destroys mages. By the time your opponent plays the water elementals at turn 5 you should be 8-10 mana. You have many high cost options at this point…..clear the board like 3 times and they’ll leave.
hope this helps
Nope. I tried Highlander Druid and I had 5 mana when the mage had 5 mana(started second and increased my mana with 1). On turn 6 he casts Tsunami and game over. The only scenario where you can succeed as a highlander druid vs mage is if he doesn't draw Tsunami.
Honestly, Razzle DK ought to be at least decent against Mage and some other decks. The key is Threads of Despair which can wipe most boards and it’s not expensive. The deck can also get off to a fast start which means pressure on them. Not saying it’s the end all by any means. This meta right now is like insane. Most games are decided within a few turns and I find myself conceding a lot more than usual. Now if you don’t have the perfect answer for what’s coming next, you are done. There is no middle ground.
The fast pirate decks like Demon Hunter is also a good choice. Kill them by turn 5 and then there is no Tsunami! ;)
Couldn't agree more. It's the "Most games are decided within a few turns" trend that really gets to me. In the previous meta you had a fighting chance most of the game, especially if you played warrior like I did a lot. Now you don't see control decks anymore. It's all about tempo.
You can't have Threads of Despair in Razzle DK without sacrificing some of the core cards unfortunately. It's a blood rune card and the deck has 2 frost and 1 unholy.

Didn't we have this brawl a few months ago? Seems like they skipped a few.

This brawl is just a big cashgrab to make people pre-purchase. The greed at blizzard never ends.

I want to use my last wish to resurrect this brawl.

Play a cheap aggro deck with cards that increase spell cost. Add as many of them as possible.

Upvoting because it counters retard-hopper.

Can you be more unfun? People who think about playing decks like this should get banned because they ruin the brawl. Fortunately they aren't many.

Summoning Stone is just dumb, since it will summon 0 cost minions.
