From what I've learned playing Dragon decks since BRM is this: go full Dragon, or not at all. This isn't meant to be thumbing my nose at any attempts doing something else, but the primary weakness of Dragon decks are the times you don't have any dragons in your hand at all. Dragon cards are powerful, but only if you can activate them.

If you don't mind me sharing, I was involved in a recent discussion on my Dragon Shaman deck which I am actively working on, the deck is working pretty great in its current form.
I am with Revenant that we either go all out midrange, or all out control. It's because the dragon package is rather big.
I've tried a lot of weird Dragon decks, including Dragon/N'zoth Shaman (decent) and Dragon/C'thun Shaman, which is pretty inconsistent as you would guess. But oh my all mighty god, their is nothing better in Hearthstone than when Chromaggus plus Ancestral Knowledge gives you a 2nd C'thun in hand. GG Warrior, welcome to the Shadow Realm lmao.

That's true for viability, but not all the dragons are created equal. Hungry Dragon's effect can really bite you in the ass (litterally cuz it's a dragon) and Volcanic Drake is weak even when played with Elemental Destruction. But I do really love to play some ambitious decks sometimes. N'zoth, Deathwing Dragonlord and Y'shaarj in the same deck is extremely fun even if your dragon effects wont always activate.
To me, that's what Wild mode is for. I don't play their often, so when I do I can play over the top greedy decks at rank 17 and still win XD Shaman's class spells are good enough that there is room for a lot of experimentation, as long as you don't mind getting rolled over once in a while.
Ok fair enough. I'll add that I think Chromaggus is a criminally underrated big-ass dragon. Shaman, along with Priest and Warlock (although Warlock doesn't really need the late game draw) is one of the classes that can utilize Chromaggus' effect as soon as it comes into play, rather than hoping it will survive.
I think the thing that could make dragon decks so much more consistent is a neutral 1 mana dragon or dragon synergy card. It wouldn't necessarily need to be as good as Twilight Whelp, just something so that we don't have to immediately fall behind on board vs. Zoo, Shaman and Hunter.
Well that's still a lot of dragons *drool*. I totally agree with the Chromaggus value. I have tried many of the high end dragons but none beat the Chromaggus + Ancestral Knowledge combo. (Sometimes with 0 mana taunt to protect it.)

Finally someone else that appreciates my giant dragon bro.
Dude that's an ambitious use of Hungry Dragon, I love it. Nothing will beat Hex at messing up Resurrect, but Hungry Dragon is more BM. It makes me think about testing MC Tech in Dragon Shaman. It would probably be a non Elemental Destrucion list. Since I'm already running Brann, Brann plus MC Tech could be devastating against Shaman and Zoo. Imagine stealing a Thing From Below?

I won't have much time to try it out until the weekend, but THEN I will rain death upon my foes.
Speaking of the lesser used dragons, has anyone found a good deck list for Volcanic Drake? I was experimenting with them for a while in a variation of Primo's Frost Shaman. I can't link the thread since it was on the old Battle.net Shaman forum, but I'll post a screenshot of the original list. It wasn't too hard to get the Drakes out for free in some matchups, thanks to Elemental Destruction and Lava Shock. But at 4 health, they die so easily. Maybe there's some cool Evolve combos we can pull off, like ED, LS, Drake, Drake, Evolve. That's a clear board and two random 7 drops for 6 mana. Not bad, but that's a 5 card combo that depends on your opponent having a board worth clearing. And there are some pretty low-stat 7 drops like Rend Blackhand and Eadric the Pure. I'll test that too to see if there's any cool possibilities there.

I'm thinking 8 drops are a lot stronger with the likes of Tirion Fordring and Ragnaros the Firelord, so maybe 2 Evolves is the way to go. So many combo cards! How will I live that long?!? **brain explodes**

To protect your attackers, use 0-mana Thing from Below. It's such an old trick we use all the time.
Yeah, I've played full Evolve package with Nerubian Prophet, TFB and even weird stuff like Pantry Spider. The deck is fun, but doesn't really do anything as consistent as Mid Shaman unfortunately.

Well, and not necessarily play all the dragons, but play a lot of them (should've clarified):

I have got the idea to put a Hungry Dragon to counter Resurrect Priest. Anyone?
