Hello! This is the first time I have come onto the forums here at HearthPwn and I am really impressed by all the cool features and decks floating around. I've been playing for about 4-5 months now, off and on. I mostly play Rogue and Priest, and I've always wanted to make a stealth-based Rogue deck work. I wrote up my current deck list and thoughts here on the site and was hoping to get some feedback as I know there is room for change. If you click the link to the deck, it will take you to the main page where I go through and explain why I chose certain things and what I'm considering adding/replacing- now that I've changed some things it needs to be updated!
I know there is a lot of KFT hype right now (understandably) but if anyone would be willing to help me revise this deck I would much appreciate it! Thanks! Looking forward to adding to the forum when I can.
I really like Shaku, the Collector followed by Shadow Sensei. A Chillwind Yeti a turn early who also draws a card or two and acts like a soft taunt? Sign me up! Jungle Panther has weaker stats for that sort of thing, but it's still pretty good.
I've tried and I've tried, but I really don't think that Daring Reporter is very good. I also suspect that Malygos is too slow, though I can respect you putting it in there for the Curator synergy. How well does the Arcane Giant perform? My experience with it is that it is way too slow/ too weak by the time you play it.
You know, as much as I want to disagree, I kind of do agree that Daring Reporter [/card]could go. Maybe I could add a 2nd [card]Shadowstep or Razorpetal Volley or an alternative minion? What do you think?
Malygos is a little slow, but it really tends to stick and I get good burst damage out of it more often than not. I would consider replacing her in the right situation. I could also put in a Crazed Alchemist or Kooky Chemist to combo after Malygos goes down for extra surprise burst! Perhaps this is what could replace Daring Reporter?
Arcane Giant is OK. It tends to get pretty cheap in most of my games. I don't love it. I can't say Arcane Giant saved the game for me, but it's extra high damage/high health/value minion in the late game.
Thanks! I've never seen that MalyRogue deck before that is pretty cool. It's like a Miracle/Malygos hybrid. So many legendaries I do not have right now though :( (Sherazin, Bloodmage, Xaril) You're the second person to mention Leeroy Jenkins... maybe I should go ahead and try that for a more aggressive deck. It would be only 6 mana for more damage than Malygos [/card]can do without [card]Eviscerate. I'm addicted to gold cards and was about craft a gold Xaril but I could just craft Leeroy and Xaril nongold :(
I like the Murloc package idea. It would go well with The Curator for sure. I feel like right now I'm going to wait on that and make a few changes... I'll make a note in my first post about them. Thanks again :)
This deck looks interesting. I think you can add a primordial drake for curator value instead of malygos. It is pretty good for aggro matchups.
!! Good idea!! I chose to put in Twilight Drake but I like the idea of Primordial Drake. Good 2nd taunt if I need it after Curator drops. Also, nice name and picture. You're very fun in my deck, thanks!
@KeMT - Good to know. I think Xaril looks cool and I liked the idea of getting activator cards, possible stealthing a minion and then using shadow sensei on them or even extra damage to throw on enemy minions. I will try without him, though.
Hey thanks for helping me revise this deck so far. I made some changes yet AGAIN, and even though Xaril, Poisoned Mind didn't quite fit the stealth theme, I really like him and the toxin cards are useful and help lower the cost of Arcane Giant. I updated the description that goes along with the deck when you click on it.
I'm feeling a little happier about the deck now, but still need to test it more and make more revisions until I can get a decent win rate with it. Right now my deck tracker says it's at 45% win rate after 60 games, but I've also made 10 different decks of this within that 60, so more trial is necessary.
You all have been so helpful so far, looking forward to further comments and suggestions to improve it. :)
In my stealth list I like to run sabretooth stalker. The 8/2 generally makes it to face, and works within the decks overall win condition which is early inevitable death leaving opponents to clean up minions from the back foot. It isn't crazy competitive, I get just under 50% on ladder with it, but the archetype really isn't powerful enough to be serious. Feels good to pull a win with it though!
Hey GamerPanda, i just wanted to share this deck i made with you, i tried it out and it works great. It runs Lotus Assassin and Shaku, the Collector as stealth minions, it's usually enough. This is a wild deck, but you may replace Tomb Pillager with SI:7 Agent oe whatever you prefer. It has some Burgle stuff but it's quite versatile, can handle fast decks like PW, and slow ones like Priest or Taunt Warrior. Cheers.
Wow you guys have some really interesting variations here.
@KeMT - Thanks for being supportive of that Xaril pick, even though I know it is the weakest card in the deck. I was talking to my friend who is like a HS god and he actually suggested I add Master of Disguise back in, so I did! (Yay! Love that card) I might end up taking Xaril out for a second Master of Disguise.
@enonez - I like the uniqueness of Kidnapper - it's a 6-cost 5/3 with Sap, I guess it sacrifices 2 health to include that Sap effect. I do have Sap in my deck but I worry that this is too costly and too slow? I do like the suggestion of Shadowcaster [/card]to generate a 1/1 Vilespine, but I wonder if I have enough removal between my spells, vilespine, and the [card]shadowstep + Vilespine Slayer combo. I could try a copy of Shadowcaster instead of my Xaril, Poisoned Mind
I've had similar experiences vs. secret mage and flood shaman. Shaman is probably my worst matchup with this deck.
@oshigawa - Hey thanks for sharing. It can see it's pretty similar to what I have now, sometimes I wish I had Fan of Knives to help with all those 1-2 drops that I can't control all at once. Your deck is cool. If I took out my worgens for swashbuckler, removed jungle panther for undercity hucksters, and master of disguise/xaril for the obsidian shard weapon it would kind of fit in nicely, just loses some of the stealth factor. I will make this version of the deck and try it! Thanks!
UPDATE: This deck is now at 55% WR according to my deck tracker! I've been playing mostly casual but some ranked. I'm at Rank 16 with it now.
I haven't lost to a single Rogue player with this deck yet...maybe played about 8-10 of them in total. Unfortunjately a lot of meta decks give me a hard time, Pirate Warrior, sometimes Taunt Warrior, Aggro Shaman (probably the worst), and Secrets/Freeze Mage.
But I got 4 likes on it, which is cool! :D This will probably be my last post on this thread so if you're reading and have another suggestion for change please let me know.

EDITS SO FAR: REMOVED: Malygos, Daring Reporter, Arcane Giant Removed Sinister Strike since I removed Malygos, Spellbreaker, Xaril, Poisoned Mind
ADDED: Lotus Assassin,, Sap, and a second Shadowstep, second Master of Disguise, Edwin VanCleef
Now @ 55% WR!

Have you considered the Jade package instead? Either that, or Leeroy Jenkins and Bloodmage Thalnos.
Hey UmtheMuse,
Thanks for taking a look at this! Yes, Shaku, the Collector + Shadow Sensei is awesome! Yeah, Jungle Panther is weaker for this combo but you don't always draw Shaku, the Collector so the Jungle Panther and Worgen Infiltrator are kind of insurance.
You know, as much as I want to disagree, I kind of do agree that Daring Reporter [/card]could go. Maybe I could add a 2nd [card]Shadowstep or Razorpetal Volley or an alternative minion? What do you think?

I could definitely try Leeroy Jenkins instead of Arcane Giant... I kind of like that. Bloodmage Thalnosto help boost early-mid game removal?
Thanks again!
I wouldn't put Maly in this, doesn't make much sense. Btw where's Lotus Assassin?
Hey KeMT,

Hi Oshigawa,
I'm starting to agree. I think I'm going to swap Malygos for Leeroy Jenkins. I'm also going to eliminate Daring Reporter and Master of Disguise...I could add in Lotus Assassin and try it.
Why not! Let us know how it works :)
