Introducing the new, and improved Dragon Priest! Thanks to TGT, a lot of the holes the deck once had are now filled, and this is what I came up with. Thoughts and feedback are welcome.
If u want some random "crap" i would still prefer Thoughtsteal to Saraad i guess. If u want t7 play > Dr. Boom. (might as well bait that BGH for Nefarian).
I really like the idea of a Dragon Priest aswell, because Priest already got that (kinda) sweet 1 Mana Whelp and now in TGT Priest gets a cool 2 drop which ist outside of a Dragon Deck really bad sadly, but maybe now that the long time wanted 2 Drop for Priest is a Dragon Synergy Card maybe exactly that enables a viable Dragon Priest Deck!
Now I don't really know if your creation really is a >Tempo< Deck due to Lightbomb and Chromaggus and such, but nevertheless I kinda like it, for the most part. But I, tbh, would cut the Velen's Chosen and the Chromaggus and add two Azure Drakes.
That might not be the best idea because there are no real spells that benefit from them, but thy are card draw. And Dragons. I personally also don't know about the Dark Cultists, the Saarad and the Hungry Dragons. I would try to put in other cards that just feel better, like Ysera and Sylvanas. I'm sure there are more cards that fit a bit better. Then again that kinda destroys all the Tempo thingy with the Hungries and the Cultists, but I think a controllier Dragon Priest would be better, though I honestly don't know!
Either way I'm excited for a possible Dragon Priest that'll rise with TGT may it be Tempo or Control or Aggro!
Saraad feels very out of place in this deck. I'd replace him with another AoE. Also I see no reason to run an Ironbeak Owl instead of Silence in priest - the 2 mana is often much more valuable than a 2/1 body. Feel very minion heavy. Might be good, tho, who knows. :)
Those questioning Saraad, I felt like the deck needed a more consistent source of draw. Northshire can't get you that massive draw power without Circle of Healing, and Chromaggus is very expensive, plus you use the hero power a lot as priest. Since these cards aren't out yet, it's tough to say, but I think Saraad could make a good addition to the deck.
Lightbomb is a meta call, and is the deck's best response to Patron Warriors and Handlock. If those two decks fade, then I could see taking it out, but until then, it's a mandatory 1 of.
I'm familiar with Dragonkin Sorcerer, and I agree it is a great card when you can combo it with one of your spells. The problem is when you don't have one of those spells, it's just a 3/5, which is bad. Often times I've found I couldn't play it on turn 4, because it would just die before I could buff it, or sometimes you need the buff for something else. It's just way too inconsistent imo.
I think you actually need Azure Drake because playing on curve means you won't be drawing a lot from Northshire Cleric.
Hope I've been helpful, despite the playful tone I am really serious about those options.
1. Believe it or not, this deck actually doesn't have room for the Boom, and I want to avoid making the curve needlessly high.
2. Lightbomb isn't there just for Patron, but for Handlock as well. If Handlock fades from the meta, then I will probably switch the two. I'm actually thinking about Chillmaw over Chromaggus, but we'll see.
3. Harrison Jones might be a good call, since it provides draw power, which is why I added Saraad in the first place. I don't think Loatheb is necessary since you'll have such a sturdy board.
4. Sylv wasn't in here because the deck needed more early power, but with that fixed, I'll try to find room for her.
5. Honestly, I don't like Azure Drake in this deck. The spell damage does nothing, priest has faster draw methods, and I've found a 3-drop plus hero power is a better tempo play.
I find twilight whelps more useless than helpful most of the time, they usually ended up 2/1 at turn 1 or played too late. I'd rather include faerie dragons instead (yup those are dragons too), even though i won't be able to buff them.
Also i think twilight drakes fit the deck well, if you don't have auchenai soulpriest. One thing i noticed about dragon decks is that you end up holding more cards than usual for the dragon bonus. That, and defender of argus, since belchers are out.
Alexstrasza works too since this deck has beefier minions than most priest decks. 1 breath of fire = insta-kill with a bunch of drakes on board.
I still think Wild Pyromancer is just too good to drop from most priest lists. It has really good synergy with priest spells, hero power and most of priest class minions have high health.
I would also try to include some mid game draw to the deck. If you dont draw your clerics or they get killed you are in trouble as most decks tend to out tempo priests (warlocks and rogues pop to my mind.) Chromaggus needs shield on the turn it is played and Saraad is so random that you should not rely on it.
I'm not sold on Chillmaw. It's basically a buffed-up Abomination, a card which already doesn't see play. Perhaps another dragon deck can make better use of it, but I just don't see it here.

I actually like this. Twilight Guardian and Wyrmrest Agent are just what Dragon Priests need

thats mine
But maybe its better to fit in some Malygos Sheningans. Time will tell.
i m trying this too, heres a list
What about a Malygos burst Dragon Priest deck?
Velen would be better.
Just a few things you might want to change:
Hope I've been helpful, despite the playful tone I am really serious about those options.
But Prophet Velen isn't a Dragon

all of these decks will run out of cards and will get out valued from zoo and tempo mage and hand lock
the strongest one is the 3rd from the top

I don't think it's the best version of it is this. But we sure see some dragon priests.
No Chillmaw?
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
Not if you can deal with the 1-drop the turn you play it, which this deck can...quite easily.
I'm not sold on Chillmaw. It's basically a buffed-up Abomination, a card which already doesn't see play. Perhaps another dragon deck can make better use of it, but I just don't see it here.
