You have to time the DK really well and a skulking geist wouldn't hurt. Aggressive openers and early game whiffs from your opponent also give you a good shot. I give the deck a 40% chance.
Early Geist ? Don’t need it early to beat them, as soon raza and dk are played you can just wait for geist , but an early geist is a win for sure, without idols they have limited arsenal to beat you
I’ve been playing raza priest since new exp release, and with my short time to play I’m at rank 4, and iirc haven’t lose from a Jade Druid
The odds depend on your skill level, mostly. As a Jade Druid, I can tell you Greed priests who know what they're doing tend to give me the most trouble.
Most Jade Druids run 10 Jade summons. Make note when you play Skulking Geist if either Jade Idol has been played, so you can keep track of what's left and what their cap is. Ideally, you want Shadowreaper Anduin to hit at least two Jades. DK (x2) + Death + BGH + Geist (x2) = 6 Jades answered. That basically means you need only handle 4 Jades through minion trades and/or board clears.
Since you know what you're up against, play for the late game. There's no reason to rush when playing Greed Priest. Play as few minions as possible, because you NEED Eternal Servitude to hit The Lich King and/or Obsidian Statue. Shadow Visions needs also to hit answers (esp Pain, Death, Dragonfire, Servitude).
If you stick to the game plan and get a little luck with your draws, you'll win more than you lose.
I've played Jade Druid to legend in standard and DK priest up to rank 3 in wild this season
As druid I usually win but it might be because of my deck choices. Geist does next to nothing; I never lost to lack of value left in deck. The times I lose is due to Medivh, N'zoth or the DK hero power burst
In wild, druid is a fair matchup for my priest. Mainly because Emperor Thaurasan and Nexus Champion allows wild priests to ping down their opponents in burst much earlier and more easily. And no, I don't run geist in my priest. In fact, I run many 1 mana spells for the burst plan and get rekt by others running geist
number of people who thinks that skulking geist beats jade druid is too damn high
Only in DK Priest. (And sometimes only when drawn early enough.) DK Priest plays against Jade Druid more like a Fatigue deck. If you can answer 10 Jades, you win.
In wild I nearly always win against Jade Druide and I don't even play Skulking Geist. Just put pressure on them by going face at the start and end it easily with your DK hero power at the end.
edit: ofcourse drawing raza early makes it a lot easier but even without her you can beat them.
Been beating Jade Druid 90% in standard with a Highlander deck. With Geist, Kazakus, and DK Anduin it's pretty hard to lose against them. The loses are only due to never finding Geist and they've already cycled Idols bunch of times.
Played a lot yesterday ranks 4-5 and I noticed that a lot of Jade Druids I played against have started running Medivh. My winrate against them actually dropped off a bit. Basically it was ramp as fast as possible, Medivh, get an early ultimate infestation off, then you're stuck having to deal with a few big threats. And then the Jade party starts. If you don't have DK Anduin and Geist in hand it's pretty hard to beat.
As others have said, you need several cards early enough to have a shot at winning, which makes the draw heavy variants of highlander priest the best ones against jade. The problem is you never know if you've queued against jade or token, so knowing what to keep is very hard.
You dont need geist to be favorable actually, its pretty easy to win vs jades since they dont play double scales anymore. Kazakus is mvp in this matchup. Also if you played raza and have deathknight you dont need to wait for big jades if they are low already, just pressure them with hero power and board. Geist is too slow to win you the game. Its not a jade counter. Jade counter is pressure which forces them to use removals.
Without geist you'll eventually run out of cards to proc your hero power and the jades will be too big even if you could whittle them down along with minions. You will never have a better board than jade druid unless you're playing big priest. Highlander priest doesn't run enough minions to be able to pressure with them before the druid has finished ramping and infestations whatever you have on board and refills his hand.
Highlander Priest will beat any Druid with a good hand, its just Priest hands are typically terrible not to mention Highlander draws are typically even worse.

In every control deck I can think of actually. Purples DK mage list relies solely on geist to win against jade druid for instance. Demonlock lists, without giants, can't really out-tempo jade either so they also depend on geist to out-value them. Dead man's hand warrior, the same thing. etc etc.

I'm Currious to know since I only play at rank 20 for fun and mostly arena .

I've been playing a Reno Priest deck and for the most part jade Druid just outvalues unless you get a really early skulking geist.

You need to be "skillful" at drawing Raxa and Anduin .
The sooner you get those the more chances you have of bursting them .

Only way to beat them is to make a silence priest or a aggresive version of dragon priest and yust go face in the midgame.
Medivh beats Jades in my experience, nothing else matches the value
