It beats Token Druid. Warrior and Shaman are good matchups. Rogue, Zoo and Hunter need to rush you very agressively. Murloc Shaman is a problem. It wins against other Hadgar Mages too because it haves a lot more control and less shitty minions. All other matchups are ok.
Enjoy before everyone start playing this list.
This is the list that I'm current testing, I'm a bit more satisfied with it: - 1 Flamestrike - 1 Astromancer - 1 Blastwave (less token Druids now) - 1 Power of Creation (I don't feel I need that much value) - 2 Astral Rift + 2 Polymorph (it's good vs Lucentbark druid and mirror matches, also it's a needed answer to early Van Cleefs) + 2 Half-Time Scavenger (it's a card that I'm testing against aggro and combo decks, since mage is lacking healing, it's doing well I think) + 2 Arcane Intellect (After testing Astral Rift for some time I came to the conclusion that Arcane Intellect is just better overall)
Any proof, winrates, match history or are we just supposed to believe that you didn't pull all the above out of your ass and slapped 'tier S' on it for no reason?
Played a game with the deck and actually had a lot of fun. It was a mirror match, and I understand why you added Astral Rift instead of Book of Specters. My opponent played it on t2 and discarded both his Power of Creation.
Though you might be stretching it a bit by calling it Tier S.

No proof, I'm not having much time. If I get to legend and managed to climb to Top 100 at least I will post a screenshot here. I'm no newbie, I'm 9 times legend, most of the time with my own lists.

Even having only 4 spells on the deck was pretty common to discard at least one with book of specters. And you can't add more spells. This way the decks works a lot better.
I can be wrong, but I really believe that this deck or anything closer to it will be the dominating deck until next expac.
I fucking love this game just after a a new expansion and rotation.
Just a couple of days ago people were riding mage saying there is nothing for them, so the streamers and deck building community start going after mage hard in an effort to improve it, and overnight we see two new varities of mage emerge that cut the new meta open and eat it alive.
This type of mage is excellent right now, along with the slightly faster late game minion zoo version that still tries to build a huge hand for mountain giants and drakes, but cuts nearly all the spells.
I've run into a few of these; looks like a fun deck. Conjurer's Calling is outstanding and really forces your opponent to remove everything. I tend to clean them up with my control Shaman, though. Hagatha's Scheme (usually 3 in a game if I play it right) plus Zentimo --> Hex tends to mop those boards up.
I like the minion heavy version a lot more. It's less consistent against aggro but it's a lot better against warrior and priest in my opinion. Especially blast wave doesn't seem good enough to make the cut at the moment
and also dude. khadgar dragon mage is everywhere right now. what makes yours different, please?
again, genuinely interested.
Other khadgar mages rely heavily on book for card draw (and it can back fire burning spells). They also don't have enough control to deal with zoo or token druid. It's only better when you draw a perfectly curve.
Other control instances don't have so much value or tempo to stand against other control decks such as shaman.

Blast Wave is game winning against token druid or zoo. It's a matter of how much of them you're facing. You can put polymorph or other control spell if that's the case. You win against warrior anyway, it's very hard for warrior or priest to beat this kind of deck value.
-------------
There's no deck that's unbeatable. I think this deck can win against anything, if you face a Rogue with a good start you will lose but if you don't take much damage on the early turns you will take the board and win easily.

what rank you sitting at with this deck?, looks good though
I use the same deck but with just a war mage less and alexstraza. Fun and succes

I started playing it on rank 5 and I'm rank 3. I don't played many games yet.

I was able to defeat similiar deck with Ress Priest, that isn't even t2, I doubt any faster deck can't destroy it.
Playing at rank 3 calling it tier S... lol
Its worth getting a statistical comparison to see if book is really that much worse, but I dont doubt that it is.
Looks awesome. I have faced something similar on ladder.
Have you seen the one that summons 4 argent commanders for lethal as well?
Would love to play, but missing about 7k worth of cards though unfortunately.
Similar? No one is playing this list, it's very different from other khadgar lists or control lists.
I play this game since beta, I know when a deck is strong and when it's not.
It's worse because you can't use control spells, you have to put low value minions to fill the deck.

Why Astral Rift tho?
Isn't Arcane Intellect just a more consistent choice?
well have you seen it or not?
sorry for my impatience, but you're multi quoting everyone and just completely skipped over my question.
I'm genuinely interested and want to find this argent commander combo deck.
Have everything but Kalecgos. Will try swapping it for Alex and see how it works

Sorry, I didn't see that one. I usually don't like/play otk decks.
It's better against bomb warriors and it's faster. In my experience it gives at least one good minion. But Arcane Intellect can be better for sure.
Kalecgos is really strong in this deck with all those control spells.
