posted a message on Can I play Duskfallen Aviana now?
    Quote from Thezzy >>

    Wait, I've got it!

You play BOTH Duskfallen Aviana and Harbinger Celestia on the same turn!
Think about it, if your opponent then tries to play a huge minion for free, Celestia becomes a copy of it.
If your opponent chooses to play a crap minion, they waste their free mana minion!

Also, your opponent may simply cease to function and not play anything after having their mind shattered by seeing both Duskfallen Aviana and Harbinger Celestia played on the same turn. It just won't compute.

I think the general idea behind Duskfallen Aviana is to play it when your opponent has limited to no resources in hand and you have something big in hand. Could maybe work against an aggro meta where it serves as both:

-A soft taunt (which would force the aggro player to either: SMOrc and roll the dice on you not having a big swing card that you could utilize for free; or change their gameplan and trade into it

-A means of getting your opponent to waste resources to remove it, deplete their hand, etc.

Outside of these niche scenarios... it's trash

posted a message on Onndasta hunter optimisation

I'm having a lot of success with Oondasta Hunter atm. My list runs x2 Firefly (in place of candleshot), x2 Stitched Tracker (in place of baited arrow), x1 Zilliax (in place of one Witchwood Grizzly), x1 Mossy Horror (in place of the other Grizzly), and x1 King Krush (in place of Emeriss).

    I found that:

-Candleshot is less effective without Hunter's Mark

-Stitched Tracker is basically shadow visions for minions on a 2/2 stick for 1 additional mana

-Zilliax is a boss utility card, healing is necessary for survival

-Mossy Horror helps against aggro Paladin and any other token generating deck

-Witchwood Grizzly is disappointing to pull when you need a Rush/Charger AKA no immediate tempo unlike Warbear, Devilsaur, and Krush

Below are some highly-used neutrals you’ll want to pull/craft for this last rotation

    Fire Fly

    Dire Mole

    Tar Creeper

    Stonehill Defender

Saronite Chain Gang (recently nerfed but still good)

    Fungalmancer

Leeroy Jenkins (classic card; should already have this)

Baku, the Mooneater (has another year left)

Love keeping basic evergreen, increase the basic class card pool (not so much neutrals) and rotating classic out in exchange for a 20xx Core Set

To be good with the card, you'll also need an understanding of stat value of minions at different mana costs so you can manipulate your armor appropriately.

posted a message on Cool Alternatives to the Current HS Market System

Hi all. I've been thinking a lot about the HS card market, collection methods, and currency recently. I think many would agree that the system in place now can be improved upon, whether that be adjusting dust collected through disenchanting, methods of obtaining gold, items for sale in the shop, etc.

One thing that I've always thought would be cool would be "Structure Decks" that rotate in and out of the store. They could have a set dust value by providing the same ratios of card per deck. Example: 2 Legendary Cards, 6 Epic Cards, 8 Rare Cards, and 14 Common Cards. The idea is that whole decks would cost less as a bundle than crafting individual cards. Decks would be available for purchase once to prevent someone from abusing the system just to make capitalize on the dust from disenchanting all the cards in the deck. Some deck ideas would be: (1.) 1x The Last Kaleidosaur, 1x Lynessa Sunsorrow, 1x Dinosize, 1x Gluttonous Ooze, 2x Immortal Prelate, 2x Call to Arms, plus some Rares and Commons; or, (2.) 1x High Priestess Jek'Lik, 1x Clutchmother Zavas, 1x Twisting Nether, 1x Big Game Hunter, 2x Soulwarden, 2x Cataclysm, and some Rares and Commons.

The goal of this would be to allow for more players to get exactly cards they want without having to buy packs hoping for a lucky pull, or disenchant cards. Because the decks would rotate in and out of the store daily, consumers would have more of a reason to make a snap purchase, which would be good for Blizz. Not sure how to balance the system to maximize the incentive for both Blizzard and consumers without taking advantage of either.

Another thing I think could be interesting is an "Upgrade" option when collecting Golden cards. "Upgrading" would be converting a non-golden card into a golden copy at a reduced dust cost.

I'm interested to hear others' opinions on the subject, as I may be approaching this topic with a narrow view.

So yeah, Geosculptor Yip looks pretty good imo. Still not sure tho.

Should I bother to make a deck around him, or just put him in my decks? Or dust?

Try Even Recruit Warrior with Heavy Metal. That's where I'd start at least...

instant Water Elemental for Frost Lich Jaina

it would be played in Shaman decks in general. play Waterboyand totem that's 2 bodies on the board. which can be used with shaman Thrall, Deathseer or possible Zentimo OTK shenanigans.

worst cases scenario used as a tempo filler card that helps fight for board. (if you have a slot for it)

Could possibly work in a ZooLock deck post Keleseth if you're looking to get a 2/1 body on 2 without skipping your draw. I doubt it though

posted a message on People dont experiment with new exp
    Quote from Marega >>

So since the release of RR i was expecting the good ol tradition of ppl experimenting new decks like they used to. Except  i played Ranked Standard Tavern Brawl Casual Standard and Ranked Wild. 75% of my opponents were Hunters and always the new op spell hunter.

Is there a reason for it or are HS players just close minded? Im running Chief Inspector in every deck now. Thats sas but i guess im just gonna start running a deck that wins against Spell Hunter. Cant have fun experimenting cause nobody else is.

Hunter is traditionally the class with the most bang-for-your-dust decks. A lot of players don't/aren't able to drop money into the game and/or don't have access to a large collection of cards. While it is true that some players only care about winning and want to farm players with experimental decks, I think it also has a lot to do with card availability. I don't really have an issue. I don't think it's productive to shame and criticize players' deck choices when you don't know the circumstances that may be dictating what good decks that player has to choose from to begin with.

Some people get pleasure from the game because they are numbers driven, maybe that's just how their brain works and that's what makes the game enjoyable for them. Should they feel compelled to make new decks because that's what other people enjoy doing? And do they have a responsibility to do things that may not maximize their overall enjoyment of the game simply because it will increase the enjoyment their opponent might experience?

Besides, if your new deck can't beat old decks, then it likely won't be able to survive. One aspect of the game is building your deck. The other aspect is optimizing it to beat other people's decks.

Is Houndmaster and Spirit of the Lynx really worth it to drop Master's Call

I do think Houndmaster would be a huge loss and unsure on how to replace it, but Master's Call just seems so good in the deck. Maybe replace the 4 cards and 1 Tracking with 2 Master's Call 2 Vicious Fledgling and one extra Flanking Strike.

If you want to keep non beast cards I would likely replace Spirit of the Lynx with Toxmonger

I'll keep these in mind for tweaks to make for my original if it fails to perform. Thanks!

I think everyone has about the same skeleton laid out for this deck, with differing opinions on the flex cards. If you were to swap the Tracking's for Master's Call, I would suggest dropping the Houndmaster's for Dire Frenzy's, which would buff Master's Call. In this build, you would likely drop Spirit of the Lynx's for Vicious Scalehide's or something that could benefit from Dire Frenzy. I also think if the deck is going to run Scavenging Hyena's, you probably want at least one Unleash the Hounds, just because they have decent synergy with one another.

Midrange Hunter, from my experience, has always been the best day 1 deck. Basically just SpringpawDire Mole, Crackling Razormaw, Headhunter's Hatchet, Eaglehorn Bow, Kill Command, Houndmaster, etc.

5 mana 3/2 draw X 1/1s with Rush is fine in arena. And I agree with you, every time I've built an aggro hunter in arena, I've always gotten exhausted by turn 5-6.

posted a message on What do you think the sleeper card of the expansion is going to be?

This was what I was thinking. People keep saying dust, but literally my Treant Druid deck carried me from 10 to 5 with a pretty nice winstreak. You have: Witchwood Apple, Landscaping, Soul of the Forest, Force of Nature, Living Mana, Tending TaurenCenarius, and Mulchmuncher.

While nobody really plays the card, Floop's Glorious Gloop is a fantastic card in this deck, as you are always generating 3+ minion boards. Also, it combos very well with Living Mana in board-based matchups because you typically only have 1 mana crystal to spend the turn after you play it, and Floop's Glorious Gloop can turn 1 mana into a ton of mana when you trade wide boards.

I will definitely experiment with Treespeaker at some point.
