strudel_hs posted a message on Theorycrafting Livestreams Recap with DecklistsPosted in: News**offtopic**
i am not a huge fan of "pre-release-events" like this
i would rather like to see streamers playing with the new cards + funny deckbuilding ground-rules instead of streamers trying to "solve" the meta. all what it does is shorten the fun of the new expansion ladder experience atleast thats what i experienced since they do this sort of events. ofc streamers always will have an influence on the current meta and it just takes hours within a new expansion until many people will "copy" their decks but now every non-streamer can just sit and watch how streamers try to "solve" the meta days in advance.

Lyra_Silvertongue posted a message on Am I the only one...Posted in: General DiscussionI had a guy who added me postgame a few weeks ago.
He said he would strangle me with a pianowire in my sleep and cut my body into 14 pieces with a bonesaw. Then he would send my head in the mail to my mother inside a box labeled "Cupcakes". As a final insult to injury he said he would contact my mother, convincing her he was a friend on mine and that he owned a catering business. And it would mean a lot to him if he was allowed to provide the food for the funeral, as a token of our friendship. At the right moment he would reveal that the roastbeef everyone was eating was actually selected pieces of my dead body.
I guess some people really hate to loose to discolock..
That is amazing! xD I would actually applaud them for their creativity.
I actually find it exciting when people add me to BM. Why you ask? I get to challenge myself to see how many lines of lyrics I can spam my opponent with from my HS themed "Single Ladies" parody I created and see if I can end up line spamming them the whole song before they delete me.
I've actually achieved this once already ^_-

Slumbering Behemoth
DOES NOT COUNT: Since Spells Wispering Woods Lost in the Jungle etc count as the Spell, not a friendly character, summoning the minion, such Spells DO NOT count toward the reduction. Neither do played minions.
DOES COUNT: Hero Powers, Secrets ( Snake Trap ) and Weapons ( Vinecleaver etc) all count as they are regarded as your Hero directly acting.
Also, Battlecrys, ( Cornered Sentry Deathrattles Harvest Golem , Hero Cards ( Bloodreaver Gul'dan Frost Lich Jaina ), On Going Effects ( Necrotic Geist ) all count toward the reduction.

Frostlord, Ahune
Freeze minions are any minion with the words 'Freeze' or 'Frozen' in the text box (not the title).
I thought this would be a Shaman only card, but I think there's sufficient neutrals to make it viable for weapon classes for control (your hero gains Freeze with weapon), Elemental Mage or some zoo variants.
Standard has:
Neutral: Frost Elemental Frozen Crusher Hyldnir Frostrider Glacial Shard
Shaman: Moorabi Voodoo Hexxer Brrrloc
Mage: Water Elemental Ice Walker Coldwraith
Good luck!

Chicken Egg
There's always more eggs... or is it chickens? Angry Chicken
EDIT - sorry for late edit: I realised early on it was a bit broken but couldn't figure a thematic way to restrict it, until now! - So, the Chicken Egg could get a global/positional effects ( Power of the Wild +1/+1, Defender of Argus Taunt , Dire Wolf Alpha etc). You could attack with it but it dies before damage. But then, it triggers traps etc, also, a Taunted Chicken Egg wastes enemy attacks/action.
The balance, btw, is in the way the Chicken Eggs fill your board too, so enemies would be better off not targeting them. I know it's a strong swarm effect, Knife Juggler , Soul of the Forest etc but Wispering Woods already exists and is better in many ways.

Instead of explaining I just made something along the lines of what i'd love -
Brings a new theme/trigger to shaman, flexible but costs and requires deck building and un-makes runespear from being the sad feeling it is in my belly.
i'm not sure about the 'destroy a friendly' or the costs etc, but you get the idea

maybe, from what i saw, Tom was put through fewer skill-test scenarios during the tourney? I saw Frozen and Surrender make some amazing plays and felt that they were the best performers. Toms wins/losses that I saw did seem to decide themselves, but ofc only on the basis of his general solid play
Watching matches with both hands showing, without experiencing the pressure the circumstances present, it's easy to be flippant and dismissive. It's a pity ppl don't give more credit to the players' focus. One thing Tom had that highly impressed me with was his nerve. I felt he was the least emotional. the most cool, centered player out there. I think the final mulligan, in the final game showed that precisely. He was down 0-2, coming back and didn't seem to forget anything about his game-plan. Given the overtly punishing nature of miss-plays in HS, nerve is certainly a skill-test needing to be overcome. So, yeah, totally
deserved/earned it.15
Thundersnow
Works well with Spellstone/Giants
In case, like me, you didn't know Thundersnow is a thing, just check Wikipedia :D. GL!

Must say, WD! Took the pain from my efforts. Was trying a more controlish version with doomsayers but your lower curve flows very nicely so far. I'd given up on tempo without Jade (which I find terribly boring)
I'm having some early day success so i'm not gonig to change just yet, but here are my thoughts. I'm pretty sure there's a place for Corridor Creeper, it might be a 2x Spirit Echo build but it was working well in my version. Stonehill Defender instead of a manatide totem might fit as it works as a battlecry target and it helps with Maelstrom Portal for points of D. Bonemare might be best as a 1-of, not sure yet but there's a slight struggle to get it to hit... maybe the Corridor Creeper would help if it was introduced?
Great job again, ty!!
