Dude... if you’re going to post something labeled as a guide, it implies strongly that you’re going to go well beyond the blatantly obvious I.e. not posting water brained tips like “put all achievement related cards in your deck and play until achievements unlock”
Is this a troll post?! If so, well played. If not, it’s a disgrace.
I would have liked a more detailed guide as well, at least pointing towards some cards that can be used. though I admit some of these are a little more straightforward.
I did the Rancor one by using Mad Summoner, Protect the King, and Drywhisker Armorer for some sustain. Completed mine against a pirate warrior.
For the Tavish achievement, I wouldn’t recommend using beasts that cost more than 6. You’ll probably be playing against spell mage, sticking a bearshark on turn 3 while you have Tavish in hand is a way to get it started. In wild, you’ll want to search keywords rush and charge and again pick guys who cost less than 5/6
Mankrik’s Wife is probably easiest with shuffle rogue as you stated, I’d add that secret passage presents the card as a neutral 3-cost spell you can play from hand if you manage to get the opponent down you can complete it pretty simply.
Just my 2c on these achievements: For the Warlock achievement where you have to summon a ton of imps, by far the easiest way is to play duels with the passive hero power that summons an imp for every soul fragment card played (I like doing achievements in Duels in general so that I don't have to tank my rank in constructed, but this particular one is way easier there).
Also for the Hunter Achievement with Tavish Stormpike, it is easy to complete by just grinding and playing beast-heavy decks with him, but I have the following cool meme idea (which I haven't managed to execute yet). Build a deck with Tavish, Tame Beast Tundra Rhino as your only 5-cost beast, and a bunch of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-cost beasts. The combo needs only 5 mana but you need to wait till turn 10 to upgrade Tame Beast to rank 3. Then you play Tavish and Tame Beast which summons a 6-costed 6/6 beast with rush, this triggers a summon of Tundra Rhino, followed by a chain reaction where all the beasts you summon have now charge. You can get 6 beasts summoned in one play and potentially OTK the opponent
Oh and Duels was also very helpful with the Kolkar Pack Runner achievement where you need to summon 6 Hyenas on a run where I discovered the treasure that gives you 3 coins;)
One more thing. For the priest achievement with Serena Bloodfeather, since the card is total garbage and you don't want to play a deck with her I suggest you also do it in Duels. Just put her and Animated Broomstick in your deck and wait till you draw both. Should be fairly easy in the first 1-2 rounds where your deck is quite small, especially with the heal/draw hero power. Repeat 4 more times and achievement done

If you want the achievement per se, sure. But if your goal is XP... Playing ranked with good decks with your usual winrate will give you no less XP than playing a losing deck in duels and getting bonus XP

I agree with you. But a lot of the achievements in Forged in the Barrens is sadly "do this x amount of times", for example the Demon Hunter ones. It's no better way to get these achievements than to put all the cards in the deck and play it many times. Sadly. I've tried to be more specific where possible, but I'm sorry you didn't like the guide. I also want to remind you that the guide is getting updated consecutively when people in the community find better options and put them in the comments (as have happened several times already, as you can see).
Guide to complete all the achievements from Forged in the Barrens that will grant you XP
Hi guys! I just made this guide. Hope it's useful for you. (I think the order of the achievements, especially the Neutral ones, is different on everyone, so keep that in mind)
Druid:
Play 5 cards in a single turn that naturally cost 8 or more: play a deck with Celestial Alignment and many 8+ cost cards.
I jJust did this with other class, 4 giants in the deck, one more popped up through the game, thanks Blizz :)

I just finished the caravans one and it's, by far, the worst achievement so far. Oh my yogg was bad to be certain, but due to the sheer amount of exceedingly dumb individuals on ladder, having a caravan survive more than one turn is absurdly difficult. When I was doing it with shaman a sodding hunter had 4 choices to hit with the overkill spell: two 2/4 crabriders, the 1/3 give rush murloc and the caravan, while I had 7 cards in hand...he chose to hit the caravan. I don't try to even hit face (in the blind hope people realise that I don't care to win) but I was so pissed I buffed the board twice and killed him two turns later. Can't abide this level of stupidity.
So the best way to do that achievement in standard is hope you find AFK players...that's about it.
I made this Demon Hunter deck that progresses five achievements at once (all three Demon Hunter achivements, "cast 10/40/100 Rank 3 spells" and "summon 50 Demonspawn with Burning Blade Acolyte"), and if you're lucky you could get the "destroy your opponent with Mankrik, Consumed by Hatred" achievement as well. If you're missing Death Speaker Blackthorn and don't feel like crafting him (because Deathrattle DH isn't that good), you can substitute him and whatever other cards you're missing with two Hog Ranchers and progress "summon 50 Hogs with Hog Rancher" as well. It is not exactly a good deck, but it can win some games.

Turns out there is a super easy way to complete the "end your turn with 7 Gruntled Patrons on board" achievement. In Duels, Warrior has a teasure named Spiked Arms , a weapon that deals one damage to every minion you summon. If you play Gruntled Patron with the weapon equiped, it fills the board and the achievement is completed. I literally did it on turn four on the first game in a new run.
Copy 5 Secrets with a single Horde Operative: There is a much easier way then trying to get lucky. Play paladin with Lorewalker Cho. Put in atleast 5 secrets. On turn 7 you can give them 5 secrets. Then assuming they play them, you can steal them back with Horde Operative. I also included the neutral legendary that draws all your secrets and time outs to stall. I got it vs a Jade Druid after 5 tries with a terrible deck.
**** The hardest part I ran into was that the opponent has to have 5 or less cards in hand to do it, but since you have to survive until turn 8 it has to be a control or midrange opponent that has the room in their hands. Be careful not to play any early secrets like Hidden Wisdom that the opponent may not trigger. If you have a secret already active before Cho, you cannot give the opponent all 5.
I got a tad lucky b/c the opponent had 6 cards in hand but got Desperate Measures after trying to play a Jade Idol when I had Oh My Yogg! secret active.
The minion attacks a character, noble sacrifice triggers, making it attack the 2-1, dealing 3 damage and killing it. The 3 damage triggers reckoning. The 2/1's death triggers avenge, redemption and getaway kodo. Avenge requires you to have another friendly minion. Noble sac doesn't require the opponent to attack a taunt minion, or even a minion, It goes in a face hit, too.
So if, on turn 5 (or 4 with coin), your opponent has a 3-attack minion, just play these 5 secrets + a wisp. The minion will go face, and everything works.

Wait can achievements be done in brawls?
Because it's possible to play 5 snowfury gians on turn 1 this week
Unfortunately not. Only in Standard, Wild or Duels
I'm going to pin this to the top of the forum as a good spot for Members to discuss what's working for completing achievements.

It’s sad this is all that’s left to do in the game.

The paladin deck does not work. 5 secrets have triggered in one turn and fails the quest. I have only 4 secrets on quest :(

Guide was helpful some achievements have been tedious but was fun sigil achievement was most bored vargoth does not work use elekk to copy sigils
Completed if someone need a tip i can help gl all
For Rogue achievement with Yoink! card, if you do not have that card you can play a deck that generates it using:
Wandmaker
Venomous Scorpid
Steward of Scrolls
And to play them again:
Shadowstep
Youthful Brewmaster
Tenwu of the Red Smoke
Potion of Illusion
Try to play several Yoink! in a row because you cannot discover the rogue hero power if you already have it.
Anyone knows what is needed to get the new achievement they added today ?
"Solve the misteries hidden throughout the Barrens"
For the paladin secrets one, I've realised that the minion you play doesn't even need to be a taunt.
"Wait until your opponent has a 3+ attack minion. Play a taunt + Reckoning, Noble Sacrifice, Avenge, Redemption and Getaway Kodo. All 5 trigger on the minion's attack."
Though possibly you will want to use a Faerie Dragon or Evasive Chimaera so they don't kill it with a spell first
It's kind of stupid that for the '15 extra damage with Nature spells' achievement, a Malygos + Living Roots combo doesn't work
