You rather waste money on a casino and proud yourselves (Inzan1ty and Feretic) with not paying for a service you obviously use alot and hopefully enjoy wasting time on.
I have the same amount of gold and dust as you but have still ordered the largest bundle.
This is not a child's game, although children also play it. I spend significantly more on almost all other activities that I do, so I pay gladly. I enjoy paying for something I like. You enjoy being free riders. And that is okay. The game needs f2p IMO. But don't think that you are smarter. Don't bite the hand that feeds you guys :)
80 with gold (I try to aim to have 8000 gold before expansion releases)
Usually this gets me every single card of that expansion plus 1-2 crafted golden legendaries (previous golden crafts include Alexstrasza, Metamorphosis, Bulwark of Azzinoth, Deathwing, Zephyrs)
There is saying-”If you do not buy the product then you are the product”-. We must not kid ourselves, the game would not be without paying players BUT at the same time the game would not be successful if not for the F2P players, hence the absolute lackluster ”succes” of card-games such as Artifact. People pay for the advantage, how many of the ”supporters” would still pay if everybody got the same number of cards no matter the contribution, donation style? very, very few. You can also argue that getting certain cards to make certain decks is part of the experience of the game, also collecting all the cards can lead to one form of ”winning the game”. For me collecting as much as possible starting from a base of top 3 decks of the meta, works. I m having fun getting diamond 5 in like 3-4 hours, i m having fun grinding the arena, taverns, managing the collection and most of all opening those sweet packs.
I consider 60 packs to be a good base to start the expansion, you get all the rares, few epics, 3 legendaries. After that you go in the arena and get the dust for the rest of the stuff you need. For collectors i think 180-200 packs will get full collection, i used to thrive for full collection, now is more on having the everlasting legendaries for wild, nzoth/cthun/thaurissan type of cards.
Question: For the people who ordered the 85 pack bundle, do you plan on opening the 5 golden packs first?
Yes i will open the Golden packs first,it does not matter if i open all commons or rares then open the golden packs first or not although i could try fishing for a golden rare its still very rng.
I got the 85 packs preorder only so will be opening 85 packs + some packs from arena tickets at least 89 packs.
I stopped buying stuff with real money a few expansions ago. I feel like the quality of the content they release has really dropped. I only saved up 2k gold this last expansion cycle cause I played a lot of Battlegrounds (and actually bought the 2.5k Tavern Pass) so I'm not gonna get a lot of packs but I have a lot of dust so I think I'll be fine
Originally I was thinking of just buying the cheaper bundle... But as they release more cards, I find myself getting more and more excited for the expansion haha, haven't gotten this excited in a very long time (in fact, I just came back during Ashes because I thought the Demon Hunter was really cool - now I haven't even played the class in over a month lol).
My main problem with the huge bundle is I do not care about Kel'thuzad. I've already got best boy Medivh there. I'll see though, I guess the gold pack dust is something to consider as well.

Every time a F2P player chimes in about "spending money" that I make on a game that they leech off of.........
It's fine if they just aren't spending money. I remember being a poor university student, and I have a few cheap friends haha. It is what it is.
It's the f2p players who are all like "I don't spend money so I'm better than you and you're an idiot" who are the real problem. They're too ignorant to realize that they're poor haha.

41 packs with gold, this expansion is more free-to-play friendly than ever because of the dual class cards, being able to spend dust for one card that works with two classes is something a lot of f2p guys are going to like!!
Im going to pass on this promo because the Canadian dollar is awful and my account was created back when I lived in the states, not paying for that brutal exchange rate during COVID =/
I think we are on different planets.

I try to aim for 220 packs per expansion
140 with money
80 with gold (I try to aim to have 8000 gold before expansion releases)

Probably: 80 packs with gold here.
Real money: Not gonna happen :)
60-70 with gold. Money - 0.
122 packs- 85 with bundle and 37 with golds.
Currently at 142 packs (135 normal from both preorders, 5 gold ones from the larger preorder and 2 I somehow got as reward from arena?)
Also so far 9 packs from gold, so my estimate will be around the 150 mark when the expansion hits.
This is the first time I have this many packs and hopefully will get some of the good legendaries and epics.
Question: For the people who ordered the 85 pack bundle, do you plan on opening the 5 golden packs first?
20 packs with gold
I have a lot of dusts right now and I mainly play 1 class so I dont need to have more dust.

80 regular and 5 golden with $
then an additional 20 packs with gold
and save my other 9k gold for next expansion and arena!
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!

About 30+ for gold.
I'm broke IRL and ingame so hopefully 20 packs and I have like 6k dust.
Probably gonna dust a bunch of wild cards on top, already had to dust most of my gold cards last expac to keep up :(
