So basically you want an all control meta with games that take over a half hour? How fucking boring is that? That’s basically what this thread boils down to. Players who are obviously control types who love this card. And players who run combo to keep control in check who hate it.
10 plus turns for a combo player to get a win condition, and Control players are still crying it’s too easy, because they want run through their entire (now 40 card) deck and win in fatigue. Yeah, so much fun.
I remember the summer of control. The only people enjoying it were the no life players that had nothing else to do that day.
If anyone here has linked their Hearthstone account to their Amazon Prime account. The reward for July has just released and it’s a free random Legendary card.
I'm trying to run decks that are supposedly good against the meta, but continually run into opponents playing decks that are not in this fake ass meta.
I am at a point now that I'm fully fed up with the MMR system, and would rather waste my time against the AI rather than constantly be pissed off at playing a direct counter to whatever deck I'm running. Constantly. The MMR doesn't even have me at 50% any more. I thought that was the point of it?
It's a common theme that has worked since beta. Take one out and the system collapses. Blizzard has been diligent in making most combo decks waiting until 8 or 9 to pop. Which in turn gives each play style a chance to counter its counter. But cards that outright stop combos are bad for the game. Why not just stop making game ending cards to begin with?
I don’t mind the 40 health, 40 cards. It’s the utility cards that make it miserable now. Already seeing it in wild, where you battle your ass off just to get Reno’d, since Wild has much better ways of stalling and drawing him. Which is sometimes winnable at 30, but not at 40. I love Wild, but not enough to deal with constant 40 hp Reno decks. At least in Standard Reno’s time is limited.
I played the summer of Fatigue Warrior and Control Priest. It was literally the worst meta ever despite whatever reason Control players use to justify it. At least with Renethal you have the ability to make any class control. I consider myself a casual player. I’m in it for the quests, and I only ladder until I get the card back. I don’t have that kind of time to grind my way up the ladder. So if Casual becomes clown town, I might just hang it up if the expansion doesn’t give cards that even out the playing field for all player types. I believe you need equal amounts of Aggro, Control, and Combo to keep everyone honest.
I do love how Blizzard maintains the constant state of hate between player types too. Control players are in their glory now after being BTFO’d the past few years. So healthy Blizzard.
Lol, just jumped into casual to play a few quick games to complete my daily before heading out for a beach day………..
Blizzard says I am going to play 3 fucking BMing, bitch as healing, roping pain in my ass Priests before I can do so. So pissed right now, I’m saying fuck it and leaving the quest undone.
Thank god this is a digital game. I would have gotten arrested for punching each one of those fuckers in their faces. If you’re a Priest player in casual….know this. Your parents wish they never had you.
When I need to win, I play decks that are generally considered “cancerous” by the general population and Blizzard rewards me handsomely with the wins I need.
When I want to have fun and try out other deck styles within the supposed meta, Blizzard MMR decides it’s time to match me up with direct counters to that deck, and feeds me losses. And I’m not talking meme decks or home brews. I’m talking other legit tier 1 and 2 decks.
It sucks that before you even face your opponent, you have to win the battle against the MMR first, then RNG second. Games where actual strategy come into play are few and far between.
Yeah it’s tin foil hat shit, but I’ve been playing long enough to see a pattern with Blizzard that doesn’t seem that far fetched.
Blizzard MMR is on another one today. Played Quest Hunter for 8 games. 6 were Reno’s. Was only able to kill two of the six after a full health heal. Yay! Another 50/50 day!
Yay!! I found out it was my turn today to be the MMR bitch for Blizzard. Every fucking game I played today with any deck was matched up to that decks perfect counter. This is why all this talk of a “Meta” is bull fucking shit. How can there be a real meta when Blizzard just matches you up to suit their 50/50 MMR needs?
Did I mention they were giving my opponents God draws today as well? Last game before I quit for the day was to a Shaman who literally blew my face in with a 24 point turn, all before turn 7 mind you.
oh stop pretending that wild matters, this case will always with ANY spell that gets moved from odd to even or other way around, you just made a very stupid comment congratz
Seems more folks agree with me than you. Run along little edge lord, the adults are talking.

Yeah, these offers time out each month. I’m sure August’s reward is gonna be a Legendary as well.

Can somebody direct me to where the "meta" is?

Half rant. Half observation.

Lol, tried to rework Recall Shaman post nerf. Unplayably slow. Thanks Blizzard.

Holy Crap! They obliterated Wild Druid and Shaman with the Lightning Bloom Nerf.
Nellie is now Useless, and time to dust Kaira again.

Got the win despite my dumb substitutions almost backfiring. (I added Weapon Destruction for the mirror). Would have killed the Mage a lot sooner.

Everyone: We hate Quest Hunter in Wild. Nerf it.
Blizzard: Let me give Odd Quest Hunter another spell so it can make a comeback.
