It's pretty obvious that most of the people complaining about Big Priest have never actually played Big Priest, so they have no idea what would or would not improve the deck.
Exactly this ^
I hate barnes, cause he is the only reason why Big priest gets away with a lot of free wins, but none of the shown cards would provide any forther use. The Legendary is even anti synergystic, cause you do not want to pull it with barnes early in the game... Especially against aggro.
If big priest become good people will start to play more transform/sap effect or minions with the downside it gives your opponent stuff. like the 1 mana 2/3 that give op a 0/3 taunt
A lot of people have misconceptions about Big Priest and Wild. Right now, Wild is the most diverse and balanced then ever. [...]
Wild is best experienced if you don't care about ranking. Until rank 15, games are very easy (don' let those few noob stompers at rank 25 discourage you) (some players and bots at the lowest Wild ranks are some of the worst I've ever seen, worse then at rank 50 - Standard). Ranks 15 - 10 are the most fun and versatile. People there play all kinds of decks. Even going towards rank 5, it's 65% full meta vs. 35% mid tier decks. Remember, off-meta kills specific meta decks which is very satisfactory. Most off-meta decks aren't even documented and thus always a surprise. Casual is also fun.
I just want to confirm this. Wild is a much friendlier environment for casual players than Standard, because most players play it for a change of pace and don't bother with whatever is listed as "Tier 1" on HSreplay.
This month, I went from 19 to 4 in Wild (obviously for the first time). Towards the end, I saw a few more Priests, but overall, it was way more enjoyable than getting to 15 in Standard in some seasons, just because there is so much more diversity. My final match was against a Reno Shudderwock Shaman. Whereas in Standard, I recently played against 4 midrange Hunters in a row.
Saying the card isn't good against aggro so it's bad, is just silly. What good is a 10/10 with no taunt or lifesteal against aggro? And yet it's one of the strongest cards in the deck. On a different note, if kel'thuzad sees play, a much better kel'thuzad will definitely see play.
... Secondly - dunno what to say about this legendary in Big Priest. In some cases she will be better than Kel'Thuzad, in other cases she will be underwhelming.
Let's say that you cast Shadow Essence into Catrina. If your opponent kills her, you can resummon her and she will immediately summon another copy of herself (KT has to wait until something dies). And if this isn't dealt with, she can go grossly out of control. In other scenarios if you have your Barnes killed, she can low-roll and resurrect him instead of something big. Not to mention, in an aggressive meta you want to cheese out taunts and not Muerte.
All in all, I think Catrina's strong sides surpass her weaknesses and she will be a strong inclusion in Big Priest in slower metas.
Tl;dr - Catrina is NOT an everyday inclusion.
If aggro and tempo decks remain relatively popular in wild, the only new addition to this deck would be "Fourbidden Words". You don't want to summon a minion, which doesn't have an immediate impact on the board. You want to cheat out your other threats - Obsidian Statue, The Lich King and probably Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound into one of those two things. However, in a slower environment Catrina offers extra value, which can't be overlooked. Yes, she CAN low-roll, but let's face it - the entire deck relies on good rolls to function - so she doesn't do anything unusual in this regard. And since she will be most likely included in slower metas, I can definitely see how some people remove Spirit Lash or other cheap tools in favour for her, which aren't good versus control anyway.
As for Mass Resurrection - it's practically the same as the aforementioned Priest legendary. I don't agree with some people, that this is strictly worse than the spellstone. Yes, it's more expensive, but you don't have to cast 4 spells, in order to upgrade it. And the same way it can summon Barnes twice, it can also summon 3 statues or lich kings. But the chances of the latter thing happening would be much higher. Why? Because those will be the only minions you specifically resurrect with your other tools and the spell's card description doesn't state, that it will summon 3 different threats. So by resurrecting the beefy minions, you improve the ress pool. Despite this, since big priest has plenty of value, I think that this card would be a one-off at max.
Tl;dr (my entire post) - The new ress cards aren't fit for your everyday game-plan, but are definitely strong and will see play one day.
Priest has a lower win rate then most classes, of course if there was a priest deck that had a higher winrate then big would they complain? Probably.. people just like to complain about anything they struggle with. Whether it be big priest, aggro, Death Knights, Baku, Genn, etc.
I play wild just for few archetypes, mostly evolution shaman, and I feel it's too strong for casual, so I play ranked. What annoys me in big priest that when I get to rank 11-12 it's pretty much only them, I tech hex for them and you know what? I loose anyway not because big minions even on t4 but from too much removal they got and nothing sticks. Before nerf to flametongue I could outsmorc them but now it's autoloose.
Because they think this deck is fun (remember that comment from wild tournament?) and also because it is very competetive and very easy to play because it is just highroll and no real decisions.

Always expect the unexpectable!
the new cards is not that storng vs aggro and big priest only need help against aggro but i think new forbidden words is really good in big priest
the problem with big priest is not that deck is broken the problem is barnes is a really bad design card
the worst feeling in hearthstone is to lose in turn 4 without any counterplay

I would like to quote my words as a response to this thread:

Don't worry to face big Priest because we have odd Rogue in wild it more than 70% WR vs big priest ✓
It is funny to see how priest players defending the cards blindly.

Not sure if hyped yet.
card is good but u should cut something for her
if u cut statue u have lower chance of stablizing vs any aggro
if u cut lich king again u have 1 less taunt and 1 less value genrator and u almost never win vs combo bcuz lich king give u death grib
if u cut ragnaros u always never win vs matchups that u need to be killing opponent fast and u lower your chance of beating control
if u want to play her u should cut a spell for it and this result in lowering your consistency vs aggro but make u beat control decks better
it depend on how many aggro or control decks curently common in meta but in this curent meta
even shaman - pirate kingsbane rouge - pirate warrior - odd paladin - mech hunter - secret burn mage are really common
I mean, ressurrect is part of the priest identity, it would happen at some point ayway
It’s easy.. blizzard doesn’t care about wild.. These cards are for standard Rez priest , who is losing a lot of tools
Seems ok.

wild is wild and has no priority in terms of balance, that is what blizzard always said from very first beginning of the rotation.
Because they think this deck is fun (remember that comment from wild tournament?) and also because it is very competetive and very easy to play because it is just highroll and no real decisions.
the 9 mana card is inferior to spellstone in most cases.
catarona muerte just replaces kelthudzad in every build.
Which is nowhere, because no good build runs Kel'Thuzad.
