Referring to Plot Twist, I assume? It's an obvious idea for a card game; I wouldn't say they've stolen it from anyone. The effect already exists in-game via Possibility Seeker.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
If you are referring to Plot Twist I don't think it is stealing since the effect is really common for a card game to have. Just like the majority of FPS games have AK-47s.

I wouldn't say obvious especially with the text even being exactly the same. If it was that obvious I think in the 5 years Hearthstone has existed it certainly would have been printed by now. That said, I am all for borrowing ideas. If it's a good card then bring it on to Hearthstone. They can all exist in the CCG universe among multiple games.
Oh well....this is my time to say it. Listen here mugsy, there are only a finite possibilities of standard all-around mechanics in card games. A few of them like shuffle your hand in your deck and draw number of cards is a standard type of effect. So until further notice, control your mind numbing complaints or go ahead and use your masterful TOTALLY ORIGINAL knowledge of what a CCG should look like for your very own CCG. Good day to you kind sir/madam!

No one actually complained and as I stated in a post before yours; I'm all for borrowing ideas.
My apologies for assuming that it was a complaint. On the other hand you should understand that it also isn't technically borrowing ideas as they are just basic mechanics for a CCG.
The paladin spell "Duel" also stinks of MTG flavour, but then again - MTG has 25years of history and even tho, they have reprinted a lot of cards, they still have soooooo many different cards/ideas/mechanics, so it will be really hard (maybe impossible) to make a completely new, original game.
TCG/CCG and the games as a whole are like in Hollywood or the music industry or art - a lot has been done already - if you can go original - good for you, but most of the artists/companies/producers just try to do what the others have done, but better. Or at least hype it to the sky... (Hi, Artifact, waddup!)

It's inevitable cards won't be similar to cards in other card games.. reshuffeling your hand isn't such a genius mechanic though I think it's first appeared in GX or even sooner in yugioh and many other card games have that text as well..
When unguru came out the attack on enemy turn was introduced, shortly after shadowverse introduced it too.. it's only natural card games will share ideas since they are so similar after all.
I'm sorry for laughing at the people who are like "wut? Borrowing ideas?? Wut is dat? I dun't know". So for them I will explain. CCG's have existed long before Hearthstone. Is it a good thing or a bad thing when Blizzard takes a card from another CCG and prints it into the Hearthstone collection. Very simple.
we had this debate when RUSH came in as that's the actual name of the exact same mechanic in shadowverse.
the answer then was 'yes, they are stealing whole hog from other games, and we not only welcome it but made a number of threads thinking of other ideas they can nab.

What do we think about Blizzard borrowing cards from other CCG's.
A-Okay or Nay?
What do you mean?

I don't believe it's possible to create few hundred cards without any similarity to other card games.
Playing Hearthstone in German solely for Garrosh sounds. Sieg oder Tod!

Stonetusk Boar = Raging Goblin from MTG. And your point is...?

For you to vote as why it is a poll.

Stealing is fine. But reprint their old cards and calling it "new expension" is not ok.
One day this game will stop existing. I can't wait.
This thread is useless if you don't provide exemples of said stolen ideas, I for one have no idea what you're talking about.

Very simple.
Are you stealing the light for turning it on at home?
Are you stealing the invention of the car for designing a new model?
To quote Pablo Picasso..
“Good artists borrow, great artists steal.”
You just catching on now? Arcane Intellect has been Pot of Greeding all over Bill's Divination this whole time.
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
