One thing that stands out to me the most after switching to wild format is that you never really seem to get BM'd by people.
I got BM'd by one exodia mage and he was probably just happy to have pulled off his combo so maybe it wasn't really a BM and more of a celebration.
I think it may be due to there being more older players possibly in wild or players that have played for longer, so don't feel the need to act this way?
It could just be my experience, but in standard it seems every other game is one of those guys that starts spamming "welcome" when they think they're winning. (they're the worst)
I wonder what other people have experienced, and if it's in line with my own.
I recently started playing wild again because of the open, and going from rank 25 to legend, I did not encounter one BMer. In standard, half of my games begin with “Greetings travelers” and “Thanks”

I think people saying "greetings" at the start is considered just a welcome message though, right? I certainly do this in most of my games and it's not meant as a BM. (the only time I don't is when I'm on a losing streak and in serious mode.. and even then I will reciprocate if it's said by my opponent first)
I don't think there's any difference really. In my experience, there are just as many people who will give a "thank you" after you concede when they turn 3 barnes into yshaarj.
Just mute everyone. For every 1 person who genuinely says well played, there are 10 who are mocking you for losing to their big priest with a tier 3 deck.
most big priest are legend rank I would imagine or at least dad legend as the deck is so ridiculously OP. I have faced 2 and one rez priest (I beat the rez priest with 2 ragnaros on board, missed face both times, ha ha)
What I've noticed is that BMing in Wild is often done by people playing Standard decks. Yes Ricky, a percect hand of Odd Rogue can beat a slow combo deck in Wild, gratz for being so skilled. (A Standard Kathrena Hunter added me to insult me because I won in fatigue with Renolock)
Of course there is BM from "normal" Wild players, but I do think it's not so common (Outside of Big Priest players, but as someone who farmed Golden Priest in GvG their existance feels like BM to me.)
I only BM Big Priest players. Especially when they roll Barnes out of that 6 mana spell I cant remember the name of right now.
Also: not every emote is BM, when someone greets you at the start of the match, they are most likely just actually greeting you.
I sometimes press the "annoyed" emote if I'm getting creamed anyway. I feel it's a genuine and truthful response, and if anything it should please the opponent as they can see that I'm stressed by their amazing plays. ha ha.
I say "hello" I congratulate people when they do cool stuff and I smash the "wrath" button if they start up with the BS like Barnes on Turn 4 into yasharajj, etc, etc.
Sometimes I'll say "well played" though after a game as it's just like muscle memory and I realize after it looked like a BM as they have "wrath"ed me for it. I guess it's all really just subjective and it can all be taken entirely different ways by different people. (I guess if you say well played after they played a bad game, it's not really being truthful and can be perceived as a BM)
I definitely remember already saying this on these forums at least once as well. ha ha.

I've recently switched to wild on both EU and Asia and played 100 games or so in the last week (that's a lot for me).
Though it's true it's my habit to auto squelch when the game starts, I have sent a fair few friend requests after games and more are accepted than in standard. Had some good chats and even a 80 gold challenge quest. So far no one has been abusive after accepting irrespective of whether I won or lost the game.
I say hello just because, and then they usually hello back. Once the game is undoubtedly over, I say well played unless they got lucky and I've been salty because I lost the last 5 games. I don't see it as BM but maybe other people do.

I may be wrong, but I interpret every emote as BM, unless it's after they make an obvious misplay.
Theres no BM cause we are already being BMed by Blizzard as soon as we q for a match.
"Tonight a tale of true horror"
Sorry no. Never met any Big Priest? Wow?

there's an annoyed emoticon? since when?
I just mean the one that's the angry emote. I forget what it's called.
Welcome to the "superior" game mode! :p
thank you, sir.
Some people, including me, just mute everyone.
Wild is for the purists of Hearthstone! Now if we could just get Barnes nerfed to 6! Welcome friend.
Yeah I would agree wild is friendlier.

yes, this would be nice.
