No, you don't deserve constant streams of dust for every nerf that comes into the game. No other game rewards players for changes a game makes to its coding, why you feel you are "entitled" to dust for these cards is ridiculous. You can choose to spend money or not on this game, as it is JUST A GAME. It is a free-to-play game, and you decide how you want to invest in it. You can invest time and/or money to getting the best decks in the game and all the cards and whatever else you want. If you want to grind to legend for free, you can (it has been proven). If you want to invest $200+ each expansion, you can!
If you want to compare Hearthstone to any other game, where else can you get free currency from that game just for playing, then use that currency to collect a bunch of cheap cards to trade in for one massive epic or legendary card? I'll tell you. None. Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, MTG, etc. You are going to have to pay HEFTY to get the rarest and most powerful cards/decks, or spend lots of money on expansions and hope you get lucky pulls. You aren't going to get to trade in a bunch of cards valued at $0.10 per card for that one card that would cost you $80 to complete your epic deck.
Learn to get good with discount decks until you can get the high cost ones, or don't play. Stop whining for free dust every time your "easy wins" deck gets nerfed. It's stupid to think that these cards wouldn't get nerfed as the game goes on, especially as they rotate into wild, or as new expansions come out.
If you craft cards for totally overpowered decks and are whining when a card gets nerved which makes the overpowered deck finally balanced, then I‘m sorry for all you f2p players!
If you think the game is expensive, then this is not the problem of nerfed cards!
I for myself did buy packs to get a big collection by now and because of the overpowered cards, i can not play most cards anymore because of this overpowered shit! I actually would like to get back a balanced card game with which I have more options to win than by using overpowered decks.
I‘m glad that Blizzard made those changes although it is definitely not enough - example Big Priest - but at least it is a good start!
The problem with Kingsbane definitely is the infinite healing, so why not address the problem on the basis by nerfing the healing weapon attachment? I‘m not sure if Kingsbane could be nerfed by itself to be honest.
Shudderwock is not finally fixed because we still have Doppelgangster. So why not nerf that card as well? Who is not glad to see this worst card design less powerful? Why should it be fun for one to watch those freaking battlecry animations over and over again which results in ending the game for yourself?
Unfortunately, Kingsbane Rogue will be replaced with Mill Rogue in Wild which is due to Coldlight Oracle. Not even sure which is more cancer! So why is that shit not addressed now?
Blizzard, we need more card changes addressed because I want to be able to play my other cards I opened from packs which currently do not stand a chance against the overpowered cards from the last expansions which are the only choices for deck building currently.
Anyhow, thanks for making some changes Blizz! If for greed or not. I rather have a healthy game than this overpowered stupid gameplays recently.
The Biggest effect his nerf is going to have on me personally , is that its helped me make a decision, on crafting Zul'jin and picking hunter back up again. Since Hunter has like the most options for decks atm. I also doubt ill be the only one to jump to Hunter
im currently playing odd-pally... but don't feel much with the nerfed Level Up! card, so why ask for refund? i mean i saw this coming. besides, all we have to do is to think another deck build. it's not like odd-pally really down. you hardly keep a Silver Hand Recruit alive until turn 5.
other players often to clear the board by using Aoe. not to mention Level Up! doesnt always shows up on turn 5.
on the contrary im really glad that Leeching Poison got nerfed. most of player including me gone auto concede whenever againts Kingsbane Rogue because of this.
Problem is there is no nerf to KB, the weapon does whats supposed to do. Difference is that its gonna be a more aggressive archetype in order to work. u can only rely on healing for 2 turns, which u can wisely time with a doomrang to heal back to normal while playing a more midrange board centric deck as u cannot rely on ur weapon to stay for fatigue. u need to finish ur opponent now
This thread is acting like the nerfs hit new and fresh archetypes that just joined the game. The nerfs targeted decks that have had a strong place in the game for over 8 months+. Quit acting like big brother is forcing you to spend money on video games. Move on to the next broken deck and stop worrying about the adjustments right as they hit.
Nerfs are healthy for the game, keep things fresh.
You’re lucky Blizzard give full refunds for the affected cards.
So much just moaning over everything these days. The entitlement generation 🙄.
They are well within their rights to give nothing at all. The terms and conditions clearly state that Blizzard can change any aspect of the game without notice. And you agreed to those conditions when you installed the game.
also this... Jesus christ, old man...
Now on the nerfs:
Druid could have kept one of them intact. I dislike the class as much as the next guy, but I feel it has been gutted pretty hard.
Leeching poison: Alternative would have been maybe making the weapon dur. 2, but this one is harsher. I preyed on KB rogues the past few days (with tempo rogue), kinda sad to see it gone, but if I remain unbiased, this is very well deserved. Something is deeply broken with rogue's mechanics that it ends up with these decks :D
Saronite: I think I extracted all the value from this guy in both standard and arena :) Crafted it first week, used it ever since. Lost a lot of its power now. So, this is how long it could go on, buddy.
Level up: Even the odd paladin players won't miss this card or their deck at this point
And lastly, how did hunter stay out of all this? The most represented class with who knows how many decks in the meta is untouched, so I expect a lot of them in the coming weeks. You can count on at least 1 more (re)appearing.
And on topic: I am not very much affected, and wouldn't dust any card because of nerfs anyway, but I sympathize with the players having their decks destroyed, especially if recently crafted. There were also no signs of this coming at this time, I sure thought someone was trolling at first.

Seriously. If you're complaining that you just crafted Kingsbane, you knew what you we're getting into. You asked Hearthstone community their opinion and you just wanted the best deck to climb quickly for the next 4 months. Bad idea. Invest in the latest expansion next time. Lesson learned.
The timing of these nerfs is the most annoying part to me, people just crafted new decks after the expansion. Problem with these nerfs is they didn't weaken archetypes, they destroyed them completely. You can't replaced a nerfed card with something else so you'll have to change the deck entirely, thus costing more dust should new cards be crafted.
All the decks they nerfed had essentially no new cards from the expansion. Unless people were new players they would've already had these cards and didn't waste dust crafting decks effected by the changes.
I’m so happy with the nerfs! As for compensating the players, it’s karma for degeneracy. Deal with it..
Wow so should a player be punished for wanting to win and spend their money the wisest way possible by crafting and using their resources on the best possible decks? If your answer is yes then please check your brain asap.
For freak's sake, could people just stop complaining...
I can understand the frustration, the feeling to have lost valuable time or money to craft some cards and see them nerfed, directly or indirectly a short time later. Just remember a few things :
- no one actually forced you to craft anything. If you crafted the card, it's because you liked it and wanted to play it. If that was the case, it hasn't changed. The problem is you didn't want the card, you wanted the broken combos, OP possibilities and easy win. If you wanted a card for the right reason, i.e. because you found it genuinely interesting, you can still tinker around with it. Kingsbane is NOT dead. Shudderwock and Grumble, Worldshaker are NOT dead either. And God knows Druid isn't dead. You just have to find other ways, to actually think of new possibilities. You can still have fun! It's not that hard, go, explore, there are so many cards!! =) Maybe you will be the one to discover an entire new archetype brought by the new expansion, or bringing back cards that had fallen sunk into oblivion!
- as a long-time irl TCG player, I've known my fair share of card bans and limitations. What do we get in return? NOTHING. Not almost nothing, not scraps like the 80 dust from Leeching Poison feel like after crafting Kingsbane. Just nothing at all. Buying many cards, sometimes really expensive ones, to build decks that get crushed by a new ban list? Happens all the time. But has anyone forced me to buy any cards? No. Was I aware of what was implied? Yes. It's called accepting your responsibilities.
EDIT: apparently misspelled a card name and 2 modifications to sound less aggressive, as it was not my intention

That doesn't mean everyone has to have all this decks that were nerfed and/or that they didn't craft it recently, I've been playing for 2.5 years and to this day I still don't have Shudderwock cause it never interested me enough to put all that dust into a card. but what if crafted it yesterday? Should I be punished just because I wanted to play a deck and it so happened that I crafted it just before the day that, out of nowhere. blizzard decided to nerf a bunch of decks?
By your same thought process is then ok for new players that just crafted some of this decks to get punished, again out of nowhere, 2 weeks into the metagame for crafting decks that are top tier and now they get fucked cause they receive little to no dust in exchange? How do you justify something like that.
So I see the same thing happened to you than what just happens to me? So I will be alright? ;-; I mean.. I will be forced to craft really crap obscure decks with the cards I get; but I will survive? Man, nerfs really break new players huh
Community: "What a garbage game, change the polarization, nerf Druid and Kingsbane and Odd Pally and Shudderwock!"
Team5: "We've listened to your requests and looked critically at the problematic cards. Here are our nerfs!"
Community: "Now refund us in dust for all the cards that were part of the deck that included the nerfed cards!"
Here we go again. It's not enough that Blizzard decided to listen to the community, the community demands dust for basically all cards in these decks.
You could make an argument for Kingsbane, this I believe. However, Kingsbane on his own, was never problematic. It was his interaction with Leeching Poison that made it frustrating to play against. So, they nerfed the perfect card. I believe Kingsbane could still be playable, but needs to be more on the Control-side now. So why offer refunds for Kingsbane?
Same goes for Shudderwock. That card is not dead now, it's just less degenerate this way. So they nerfed the perfect card. And don't even get me started on Druid. The nerfed cards are in EVERY deck, so you wish to get refunded for EVERY card? And for Odd Pally?
They nerfed the perfect cards, and we know it. Thus, they follow policy to not refund other cards. It's not that strange.
Glad this argument that actually makes sense and is reasonable has more upvotes than OPs post. That is just plain ridiculous, cry-baby bs.

What they've done IS shameful, even though I agree with the nerfs. The change to Leeching Poison nerfs one class legendary (Kingsbane) and possible one neutral Legendary (Captain Greenskin). The change toSaronite Chain Gang nerfs not one but two class legendaries: Shudderwock and Grumble, Worldshaker.
Those cards can still be used, but are they valuable enough to craft? Especially since they're class legendaries? Probably not.
At least Level Up! was the only expensive card in Odd Paladin. And actually that wasn't a stealth nerf, it was an honest nerf.
And how would you nerf Kingsbane? Up the mana cost? That wouldn't really make much difference.
Also you either had the card for a long time to benefit from; or decided to craft a Legendary that is about to rotate out so...
