Hello Stoners, I am a passionate deckbuilder and honestly, I can't wait to play my theorycrafts.
I made a short list of my favourites cards from RoS. In my opinion, these cards will support some new archetype, and also bring back some from the past.
Crystalsong Portal is a value generator for the Token Druid. We can get profits out of this card by getting 3 minions in our hands. But I don't think we really care about these minions though, because our handsize will be all of that matters.
Nine Lives is a new tool for Deathrattle Hunter. The best thing of this card is the Discover. The possibility to choose is really valuable, because we can build an entire deck to make this choice reliable. I think this card will see play in a midrange archtype, giving the opportunity to swing the game at some point, both aggressively and defensively.
Conjurer's Calling is an extremely dangerous mage card. If exploiting this card will takes less than I think, we'll see this nerfed very soon. Because the power level of this card is huge. Imagine if Carnivorous Cube would cost 3, what will happen?
Duel! and always win. That's a coin flip. Playing around this card will be impossible, and I like it. This card will work in both Control and Big Archetypes. I think that building a deck around this card wont be that hard in the future!
Shadowy Figure is the cheap version of the faceless. This card is really powerful even with the Deathrattle restriction, because of his cheap mana cost. This 2 mana drop can be used to copy a deathrattle effect OR to get a 2/2 copy of a big minion, silence it and profit of the original body. Ok that's scary, especially if silence Priest will be high tier...
Togwaggle's Scheme is a broken value card. It reminds me of Jade Idol, in some ways. I believe that this card is very similar in terms of value. At the moment, it's difficult to expect that this card will see play in top tier decks... Anyway, this card is a deckbuilding gem. It allows players to create a second deck, consisting of X copy of two different cards. That's really cool, but scary at the same time.
Plot Twist is an in-game mulligan. Somebody understimate the power of this card. I think that if this card would have been a 2-Mana Neutral Minion with the same effect as Battlecry, anyone would play it. Anyway, this is a Warlock card. It's a very good card for Handlock and some kind of combo deck that synergizes with the new set's cards.
Sweeping Strikes is the most underrated card from RoS. This card have a lot of potential. Probably in the right list, it could be the removal that every control warrior needs.
Jepetto Joybuzz is the combo master. Needless to say, Deckbuilders will enjoy this challenge.
Sunreaver Warmage is my favourite card from RoS. This card have some inner flavour that make me reminds of the good old Hearthstone. It's a pure balanced card that needs smart deck building choices to work properly. But most important, it is not affected by rng. Consistency, Consistency, Consistency.
Hecklebot combo breaker? This card is both angel and devil. It could work as a combo breaker and also as a combo enabler. All depends by how your cards synergies with this Mech. Tech-card is a reductive term for this one.
Faceless Rager will make me rage a lot. There is not much to say...
Potion Vendor aka the neutral Circle of Healing Very helpful card that enables various heal archetypes. The synergies are a lot, let's go find them!
There are three decks that interest me more than others so far: 1. Bomb/Tempo warrior 2. Some kind of Tempo mage with the 3-mana spell and Kalecgos. 3. Silence priest (this deck will be overpowered trust me, and it will not be fun).
What deck/card are you guys going to try out first?

Great post mate I'm looking forward to Crystalsong Portal the most I reckon
Thank you dude! Crystalsong Portal power is insane. Especially in token druid, because you ran out of cards very often. Also, Hand token druid use just a couple of minions, so this card can work really well in that archetype.
I could be very off base here, but I don't see Sweeping Strike outside of being maybe a 1-of tech card in a rush/tempo Warrior. Control has much better options.
I say 1-of because you definitely don't want two of these in your hand.
Sure, but dont compare it to Cube, it works entirely different.
Agreed, completely.
Cube was for making copies of things you wanted. Calling is for trading out understatted, high cost minions for something new. It's much closer to Evolve than Cube.

Muckmorpher is the new Barnes
Luckily, I don't play wild.

Can't wait to see how decks built with and around these cards turn out!
Conjurer's Calling is giving you random minions of the same cost, this is not Cube's ability on a spell.

Great post mate

The problem with Conjurer's Calling is that it generates random minions.
It may still enable a Midrange Deathrattle Mage, but it won't be as strong as Cube Hunter. Not yet at least.
But i will try nonetheless. :p
Thank you, glad you like it :D
I'm gonna try heal archetypes first !
Yeah it's not. But you can target either enemy and friendly minions up to 4 times with Twinspell. This keyword will boost the power of this card...
Thank you dude!

Nice post !
Looking forward to bomb warrior and/or summon mage ... also updating my thief/Tess rogue !
Spectacular !!!

Nine Lives is going to wreck. Discover your Spider Bomb, trigger it, then play it again for another kill. That's nutty.
I'm sorry. But it's obvious that they work differently...
I meant that they have a similar power level, because you can trade 1 piece for 2.
interested in building with many of those cards youve listed as well
