Hi guys, I can see some plans already formulating and I can see some of these cards are gonna be very outside-the-box, can't wait to see them all!
I was thinking of ways to make a card very excellent, as it would be diverse, so I came up with this:
This would be considered a card with a "drawback", but is extremely versatile given the class its in. This could be used in multiple Warrior archetypes for a variety of plays. I was just wondering if it was balanced? I know its stronger than Deathlord, but I thought that would be okay because this is a class card isn't as overbearing of a play.
Edit: Also is this similar to any cards? I can't remember off the top of my head... (Yeah I know Unstable Ghoul exists guys...)
Should I assume that this card is ok...? Or no...?
Nah, I don't think so. The drawback likely doesn't really matter even in tempo-oriented decks (how often do you make a big board as Warrior?). Most of the times it's just an overstated minion you can play back to back that also enables Battle Rage. Feels too powerful to me.
I don't know how to word it, but the idea is that you cast this on a minion, all other minions are forced to attack it, if the minion this spell was cast on survives it is healed to full and gains divine shield.

I dont really want to ruin the versatility, but I get that this card is pushing it... Maybe dropping a stat? or upping the cost by 1?
Edit: Although, If you play this later in the game, he slightly weaker, because depending on your Warrior deck, you're either riding on the fact that this minion deals the primary damage, or, you really don't want it killed because you may have key minions (and by that maybe even just 1 or 2) that you need alive...
On another note, I really like your cards, but honestly I think you're pushing the envelope too... Your card seems like a better Excavated Evil since it would be cheaper isn't given to your opponent, and leaves you with 2 2/3's...

This is actually pretty tricky to evaluate. I think you could tone it down to a 5/5 and that would make it quite easier to remove, so less of a problem in the early game, but I still can't tell if that would be enough. It all comes down to how early you can get it down on board.
I posted a few idea's a little while ago (with no feedback, but I don't mind that). Since then I have refined my idea of the GUT BUSTER! weapon.
Previously it was a 6 Mana 4/2 EPIC weapon (warrior but no border). The idea is it works a lot like Revenge (when below 12 health). over 2 Turns. A great Control Tool, can also be buffed with Upgrade! and any other weapon buffing spell/effect.
What do people think balance wise? is it too simular to Fool's Bane? Personally I prefer this to Fool's Bane anyway.

It seems like this would be really hard to use. I think it would have a better place in Warrior if it did less damage, so your own minions could survive the damage. A cheaper, 2 attack weapon with this effect would be better I think.
I've seen a lot of priest ideas and I concur. Having to rely on Circle of Healing combo'd with Auchenai Soulpriest or Embrace the Shadow isn't the greatest. So I've come up with a couple ideas to help priests out.
Dragon priest specific aoe. Without dragons in your hand, it's literally a dead card. At one dragon in your hand, it's just a worse Arcane Explosion, which is already a bad card, but there may be dire situations where you need that 1 damage aoe. However, Dragon's Fury really begins to shine once you have at least two dragons in hand. With two, it's cheaper than Consecration and even with low rolled Lightning Storm without the overload. At three dragons, it's equal to a perfect rolled Lightning Storm without overload.
There are going to be situations where this card is just stupidly powerful. This is by design. Priests have been in such a bad spot for so long that I think they're overdue for a stupidly powerful card to bring them back. The caveat being that this card is restricted to Dragon Priest and even then, there's going to be games you're unlucky enough to have 1 or even 0 dragons in your hand when you need the board clear.
Also:
I created this card a while back in a different and unrelated thread, but it is relevant to this challenge and I do like the concept. This card is more universal for all priests. Again, this spell is cheaper than Consecration but will only affect uninjured enemies. Because this card is more universally accepted, I feel an epic rarity is appropriate. This may be the better card for the class overall since any priest can use it and it really helps priests with their early game, but it does seem less exciting IMO.
Thoughts?
For the first card, I like the Idea of a cheap board clear for dragon priest and I also like that it use a dragon synergy but I think dealing damage to all enemy characters is too much. For 3 mana this can be a better Consecration because in dragon priest the probability of holding 2 dragon at turn 3 is high. I suggest it only deal damage to all enemy minions.
For the second card, I think the flavor of dealing damage to undamaged character is Rogue speciality (Backstab, Shadow Strike, Dark Iron Skulker), so I suggest you to change this into Rouge class card.
Now for my card:
The Idea of Clea Deathstrider is from the ability of Dark Ranger, the Neutral Hero from Warcraft 3, Black Arrow. It deal damage and the minion that died because of this become a Skeleton for you to control.
Cannon Volley is a card that I make because I really want more pirate synergy with Ship's Cannon. If you trigger the combo, you summon two 2/3 and one 2/1 minion (that can have Charge) for your board plus it trigger the Ship's Cannons ability to deal damage.
Hunter's Shotgun is a card that is inspired by Steamwheedle Sniper. The inspire make your weapon lose its durability so you only have 2 shot before you lose your Powershot Hero Power.
What do you guys think of my cards? Is the wording okay? How about the balance of those card? Which one you like the most?
Lemme see: This is going to be an interesting theme, for sure. I have't gotten around to designing stuff specifically for this competition yet, but I do have some AOE left over from previous design stuff.
Note: Dragonflies are Beasts.
I like the last one the best. The first one doesn't cut it for me because of the effect itself... I think it is ok for its cost, but the fact that this has to summon the dragonflies first creates a huge problem. I can see its supposed to have Beast synergy but this card only shines if you have max 2 minions on the board, if any more this card can only summon till the boards full :/
2nd is OP in a big way... If Timepiece of Horror is 10 mana AND a token off of a legendary, then in no way should you be able to play this so cheap AND run 2 of them in a deck... even if Priest is having a bad year. Maybe reduce it to 3 times? Makes it more similar to Flame Lance, which should be a better comparison.
3rd one seems balanced, and taking into effect the overload, seems also very fair. I think it sits well at its cost
The idea for Fairyfire to create a spell that could both be powerful single-target removal and a strong AOE, and I think it accomplishes the task. I'm just going to defend it in that, when compared to a simple 3-damage AOE (worth approximately 5.5 mana), it's not actually that much stronger, and Timepiece of Horror is not a good comparison, because the main reason its costed at 10 is that the damage can go to the face. Fairyfire can not go face. I do agree that it can probably be 7 mana, though.
I do also quite like the third one, and it's probably the one i'll submit unless I get an even better idea. Here's another version of it:
Which version's art do you guys like better? Which wording is better? I added 'of its target' on the end of the effect because it's unclear what the 'instead' means, although I could be wrong. To clarify: you will still take damage if you swing this at a minion, so its best to swing it at face and take no damage. Could be comboed with Rockbiter Weapon maybe?

Anybody got anything on these?
If Tempest deals its damage to all minions INSTEAD, then there's no reason to ever attack anything but the face. I think there should still be some advantage to attacking a minion directly and taking face damage in exchange for that advantage-- that's one of the great design aspects of weapons. What that advantage should be, I'm not sure, but this design just feels like there's no real reason for it to be a weapon.
So here are my ideas. Art is a placeholder obvs, until I decide on what idea I'm actaully going with.
I'm not sure if the first one technically satisfies the requirements of the contest (though I balanced it with Multi-Shot in mind and in practice would use it in that way much of the time). The third one might be a stretch, but I think it would fit. The second one, my only worry is that it's not interesting enough. Thoughts?
Can be played early against Zoo, when you don't have any minions, for an awesome board clear, but playing it later on will make it more difficult to finish off your opponent. I've actually wanted to make this card for ages.
Lemme see: This is going to be an interesting theme, for sure. I have't gotten around to designing stuff specifically for this competition yet, but I do have some AOE left over from previous design stuff.
Note: Dragonflies are Beasts.
Dragonfly Swarm Strikes me as the most unique and promising. Make the card say "each one immediately attacks..." or just make the dragonflies an attached card "0:1/1 -- Attacks a random enemy when it comes into play"
Tempest is OK, but needs clearer wording for mechanics, or a rule that it can only attack minions.
This one's neutral, and it gives you a 4/3 body, and it can deal even more than 2 damage if your opponent has more than 2 minions. It should cost 7 or 8, at least. Probably more.
Trying something that's the opposit of Corruption, and I think it fits well in priest :) I honestly wanted to make it "Choose a minion" and not "Choose an enemy minion" (and probably make it cost 4 mana), but Stealth kind of ruins that. Not sure if it's too OP. You're basically turning a minion into a Doomsayer for 3 mana, but the enemy might be able to destroy the targeted minion.

What about this?
About your cards:
Lightning Elemental is kind of dodgy, especially considering that it might not even fit the theme. Sure, you can charge it into another enemy, but it's not a guaranteed AOE effect. Same goes for your other one: Not sure if it fits the theme, although its definitely interesting.
Fistful of Flechettes could be called Flechette Storm or something like that (I find the name kinda weird). It's kind of boring, though. Probably balanced, but just not interesting enough IMO.
@ Aezuriel: I think the wording on Dragonfly Swarm is fine, and conveys what the card is meant to do well. I've been thinking about making it 3 mana with 4 dragonflies or even 2 mana with 3 (to combat the space-on-board problem), but then it just feels like Unleash the Hounds.

Tough Choice for me this week. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

This is an older card I made for a previous contest. What do you guys think? Specifically about cost and wording.
How about this? I'm not sure about the text, but the idea is to have several 1 damage waves, much like a pyromancer.
