So i came across this druid build that involves a jailer card destroying an opponents deck making their monsters immune....but at the same time they are able to silence their own minions to reverse a deck swap thus destroying an opponents deck while keeping their own intact yet nothing i do can actually kill these minions? for one....if they can silence an IMMUNUE minion....other people should be able to silence one or all of them.....2nd there is no reason that even silencing a battle cry minion should be reversing this deck swap when its not even listed in the cards tooltips....Tony, King of Piracy should have this effect be a 1 time thing as this is wildly unfair to combo this with Anub Rekan and simply destroying the opponents deck while keeping theirs....now my issue is....AGAIN they are capable of altering an IMMUNE minion to reverse this deck swap....yet opponents arent able to do anything of the same? something needs a rework and Tony needs to be made a battlecry only not a reversable thing or something....being on turn 8 or 9 to have your entire deck destroyed by this combo seems like its just simply destroying the fun factor in this game for me crap like this is why i havent even tried to push ladder content at all in a couple years thinking things had changed but nope....yall still have some stupid cancer decks that you do nothing about except let em run rampant with no way to counter it at all
Yeah, what do we need cool combo decks for? It's just so nice to play against Frost Death Knight a million times in a row, isn't it?
My point is, that Tony Druid is one of the most fun archetypes hearhstone had in a long while. I mean, it's subjective, I get that, but you're complaining here about a tier 2 deck with barely over 50% winrate. Sure, the combo is very strong when you manage to play it, but many times you just don't draw the necessary cards fast enough and die.
In short, I just don't see why Blizzard would nerf a deck, which isn't even overperforming.

They've nerfed decks for creating unhealthy play patterns before. Quite often, in fact. The Caverns Below, Mr. Smite, and Sorcerer's Gambit all fall under categories of "Feels nerfs" where the decks weren't nerfed for being too strong, but for being too unfun to play against.
Tony's effect leans naturally into one which is unfun to play against, be it them playing The Jailer using your deck, or The Fires of Zin-Azshari into Steamcleaner to delete your deck as early as turn 7. While he may not be worthy of the nerf bat just yet, it is something to keep in mind.

I often wonder if people even look at data before just blabbing on about nerfs. God it’s so cringe. Complain about literally anything that you lose to. The only thing that loses to that Druid is super greedy control. And even then, AoE like whirlpool, twisting nether, soul stealer is an instant win against it.
Aggro is counterplay.
Non damage board wipes are counter play.
Destroy random enemy minion is counterplay.
Don’t just emotionally lob out some whiny, cringe post about a deck you probably have rarely played and instantly say it has no counter play/needs to be nerfed, when it’s not even a great deck and DEFINITELY has counterplay.
Ye, nerf only playable druid archetype. Leave em without AoE, single target removals, combo's, playable swarming decks. I bet you are 20min/match blood DK enjoyer and you have pain because you skipped your first 5 turns and then lost
Is there anything which isn’t a pain to play against though? I mean, why do you consider Button Druid any worse than say, Shadow Priest? Bounce Rogue replaying Astalor 5 times in a single game, Death Knight having an answer for every possible situation, etc…
I personally find it less aggravating then Druid used to be in the previous expansion which was absolute psychological torture (Bran+Anub’+Astalor) and just about the only ever Druid you’d ever meet.
I don’t think this deck needs fixing because like several people have said, the stats indicate it’s not actually very oppressive, but if they wanted to change something, making Tony a battlecry is absolutely not the answer.
1) You would just play Jailer first in this combo and then Druid gives you an empty deck so it’s actually even harder to counter
2) Imagine giving a Battlecry Tony to Rogue for example and they just draw their whole deck by turn 5 like they do, then they give you their empty deck and you lose

I’m not arguing any of that lol. I’m responding to whoever said Tony Druid was the only playable Druid list which i’m saying is just not true. In fact I think they’ve got it backwards. Button Druid is more viable than Tony Druid
If you clear Tony off the board, regardless if he is immune or not, you get your deck back.
It is absolutely counterplay.
Noup sry, but if you do tony + jailer in that specific order, tony destroy's the deck from the opponent and then clearing the board makes you have no deck to play with

If druid plays Tony first and then Jailer your deck will be destroyed. So you will have 2 options: wipe the board and die to fatigue or leave about 30-30 stats on the board and test how many turns you can survive.

But then tony has to stick a turn… or how do you spend 15 mana in standard in one turn?
it is rare that i find something that i dislike more than mana cheat, but i think with deck swapping and immune minions we have a solid case.. it is really not fun to me and favors classes with hard removal like death knight and fucks over others like shaman who can't do anything
Blood DK's counterplay to druid revolves around getting lucky with Dirty Rats and Patches. Helps to have Zola too. If you snag the Jailer or Tony and have a suitable board clear for the one big board that will follow, they are dead. If you miss them or they Fizzle a copy of them first, you're dead. It sucks that it can take 10-20 minutes to get to important dice roll.

Some people in this community...
These are not counter a tony druid. There's actually a difference between The Jailer > Tony, King of Piracy and Tony, King of Piracy > The Jailer plays. So only viable option is to play aggressive. Or pray to draw the Dirty Rat or Patchwerk and hit the peace of the combo.
I pulled the pieces out with front lines.

Tony Druid is the only playable archetype? I never see this deck but I see hero power druid a LOT and it’s a pain to play against

Oh that’s standard legal. Forgot about that since I am playing wild only… so then I see the point.

Totally agree with OP. Anub’ is the culprit, needs massive nerf, 10 mana.
