I think that when we build a new deck we add zilliax (in standard at least) in every deck except face decks like hunter. So how will the meta change without this type of card? Do you feel bad for zilliax and snip leaving standard?I don't cause they have been played since the release date and imho it's time to rest for them.Should developers reprint similar cards?
Neutral cards should be limited in power, slightly boosting your classes' strenghts or slightly mitigating the weaknesses. Zilliax is a card with virtually no downside, helping you in almost every situation and is so good that just about every single deck uses it or would strongly consider using it. It kills a small/medium minion, restores 3-6 health, gives you a taunt, and usually is enough to turn a game around. That's a bit too much for a neutral legendary.
I honestly like it better when neutral cards are not as relevant. When one or two classes can make good use of a specific neutral, like Acolyte of Pain being more useful in Warrior, and Wild Pyromancer being more useful in Priest, that's ok. Archmage Vargoth is a good neutral legendary, that only a few classes use occasionally for specific decks, which is fine too. But when a card is used by more than half of all decks, regardless of class and decktype, whether it's Galakrond Rogue or Res Priest or Quest Hunter, or any Highlander deck by default, it's too much.
Zilliax is just as overplayed as its creator Dr. Boom used to be. And after almost 2 years of Zilliax having such a strong presence, I really won't miss it, and can't wait for the day when Zephrys disappears as well.
Zilliax and Loatheb are definitely among the best designed cards. Their impact could completely change the flow of a game, which is how a legendary should be.
It's amusing how until there's no healing or taunts, aggro players will just complain about tools that are used against them. Like the complaints about belcher or antique healbot.
As much as I enjoyed Zill, he's gotta go. His saturation in the meta from day 1 has been off the charts. Even if you wanted to put him in a face hunter or similar deck, he wouldn't be awful because he's outrageously good. If for no other reason than he instantly became the new Ragnaros/Sylvanas/Azure, he's had his time in the sun and now it's off into wild where he'll continue to be an excellent card.
SN1P-SN4P can eat my whole butt. I hate that card and couldn't be happier that it's leaving.

Zilliax is most broken legendary for sure, after the Zephrys.
I'm so glad its leaving standard. I stubbornly refused to craft Zilliax throughout the entire Year of the Dragon when I started playing again.
Nah zephrys much more broken , and devs say we dont want cards playable in each deck lmao check zilliax

Loatheb best card design of the games history, and one of the best cards ever. Like Zilliax was played in every deck.
Zephrys has to be 4 mana, Zilliax has to have its magnetic removed, Loatheb is quite fine.
"add him reborn"
Yep, and deathrattle: "Add a 1 mana Zilliax to your hand", so people could play it on each turn besides playing it in each deck.
ZILLIAX EVERYWHERE, GET IN HERE
Fine as hell.
Now Leeroy was and is a broken card for sure.
so many aggro players replying
Also give the 1 mana copy Echo, and while we're at it how about Charge?
no the og dr boom
Dr Boom is underwhelming nowadays
