I've never been a fan of the sacrificial pact jaraxxus interaction. I don't think it's "fair" and it's a shame since Jarraxus would be a fun card to use.

I went 2-1 with aggro DH and 4-0 with Highlander DH. The class feels insanely OP.

Very resonable assumption, but I am not sure about paladin spot. Like this deck lacks true win condition, librams are powerful defensive tools, but average offensive. Murgur Murgurgle is nice on paper, but in reality you end up with 6/3, 2x 2/1, 2/3 and maybe one 3/3. But maybe this is enough.

I am missing quest druid and gala lock in this prediction. QD still has most of his powerhouse, and gets some nice replacements like Maiev Shadowsong, new prime and this 0 mana deal 3 when you have 7 mana. I do believe good QD build can compete with top decks.

Gala lock seems to be hard counter to DH because of naturally played Sacrificial Pact and good defensive options. Moreover, new lock prime allows to build some juicy mid demon handlock, we will see if this is going to be good.

Oops I forgot about warlock in that first prediction so will edit it in, but fair points. QD will probably be a thing and like you said warlock is probably close to Warrior, Hunter and Rogue in terms of power level due to being great on paper against DH.

Demon Hunter will be the best class and rest of the meta will revolve around countering it, so Warrior will be a top tier class for sure. Rogue will be good, but suffer from the presence of lots of fast aggressive decks. Hunter and Paladin will be in good spot. Mage will be reliant on highlander mage to see any presence in the meta. Priest is a wildcard that might be better than people give it credit for and Shaman will be playable, but the worst class overall. Druid will still be playing Embiggen and the new spell package won't be good enough to challenge the better classes.

EDIT: DH will be nerfed, which will push Rogue to be tier 1 again and it will be nerfed at some point.

EDIT2: Warlock will be good for sure and will be great against DH and similiar powerlevel with warrior and rogue, although there is a lot of bad new demons which can affect Galagrond.

posted a message on Do you find this game too expensive?

That's a question that nobody can answer really. They gave everyone a full set of Demon Hunter cards which included two legendaries. That's pretty sweet. Plus they give returning players a free meta deck as well. That's pretty generous too. The new no duplicates rule also helps.

The question is where does it end? No matter what they do it seems like some people will never be satisfied. It's a no win situation for them. The idea with the free stuff is not to give everything away for free. The idea is to give players just enough to make them want to spend money in order to get more. Imo they are doing that pretty well.

That's a fair point and I agree that giving the DH stuff for free is an excellent gesture and a lot of free content.

Presonally I have always been rather unlucky my free random legendaries or quranteed legendary in the first 10 packs as I can remember ever getting 2 useful cards out of those and often with the old "you get a random free legendary for logging in"; I usually got something I really really didn't want, which is why I'd personally appreciate having a bit more control of what Im gonna get and it would also motivate me for playing longer and more, thus having a higher chance of spending money on the game, but like I said for this expansion they are giving a lot of new free content and I hope it's a sign of a new direction.

Runnetera - may or may not be a better game than HS. From the few games I've seen it didn't grab my attention. Is it cheaper than HS? Yes. Is a Hyundai cheaper than a BMW? Yes.

All of these are card games that can be played online. But they are clearly not the same things.

I play HS (since closed beta), MTG:A and Runeterra at the moment and I can agree that the games are very different. HS is casual friendly in terms of gameplay, while MTG:A is the most hardcore and Runeterra is something in between. In terms of economy MTG:A is the most expensive, HS is quite close second tbh and Runeterra is the cheapest game to play.

HS is a good game and that's why I keep coming back to it, but the new things they are bringing this year have to work or else it will start falling behind the competition or it will truly become a card game only for casual audience, since in terms of gameplay and depth it can't compete well against the other two games I play and for me after going mostly F2P apart from adventures, the economy restricts what is left of the fun aspect, which for me is often brewing my own decks around cards I enjoy playing. EDIT: So is HS too expensive? for me in my current situation in life to enjoy "fully": yes and I don't preorder sets anymore since I don't feel I get enough worth for my money, but this is just my opinion of course.

Yes the game needs to generate money, but would it hurt if the players could choose their favourite class and get 1/2 legendaries of that class for free as their free legendary of the expansion when the new sets are released?

    EDIT 2: billion typos.

posted a message on Strongest "sleeper " cards in the game

I was wondering the other day that there are quite a few cards in the game that are a lot stronger than I usually give them credit for and I haven't been playing enough. I've been a dirty hunter main after coming back to the game in this expansion (it's always been in my top 3 classes) and after Leeroy Jenkins rotated, I replaced my Snake Trap and Leeroy with 2x Freezing Trap in my dragon hunter and boy has the card been doing some work in the deck. I've always liked Freezing Trap and used to play 2 copies in all of my old school midrange hunter lists, but once again it's proved to be one of the strongest effects in the game that I have totally forgot how strong it is.

So the question is: Does anyone else have similiar cards that you guys have noticed that are stronger that you give them credit for, or have forgot how strong the card actually is?

EDIT: also makes me concerned about Blackjack Stunner... Targetable Freezing Trap on a stick is scary.

for 80 euros and that's what it gets you? that is excatly why I now longer pre order packs in this game.

Some nice pulls though! especially Hanar and Gorefiend are cards that I would like to have myself. It does sound that if you were a bit luckier you could have had a few more legendaries, but then again Im pretty bad at estimating what is the average.

posted a message on magic or hearthstone ?

I play HS (since closed beta), LoR and MTG atm and HS is eaaasily the easiest game to get into and play and learn the basics of card games. MTG is very punishing and reguires a lot more knowledge if you wanna have any success in it and it is also the most tilting of the games at least for me.

EDIT: not to mention that MTG:A is prolly the most expensive game to play out of the three I play.

Also, they can't do nothing about those like me viewing the "bonus pool" stage as useless - they simply have to change the system.

How is the bonus pool stage useless? If you put in the effort and are decent at the game you'll rank up faster and get your rewards faster, so for once the game is rewarding you for playing. I also don't see a world where people from HS community would be conceding just to be nice for the opponent, at least I wouldn't be doing that.

posted a message on This new ranked system is a joke.

It's second day of the season, with well established meta, ppl are running tier 1 decks a lot (it's common in HS in general and i'm doing it too when climbing, that has 0 legendaries btw), but my experience with the system has been good. I ranked up fast with the bonus stars and have felt more rewarded than before so my suggestion is: either wait untill the new expansion comes, but it will be a DH fest in the beginning at least, or tank your MMR untill you face worse people.

about the misplays, I played in gold 1 against a mech paladin that made 2-4 huge plunders in the game so it's just a matter of luck who you run into.

I think they should have let the DH cards be used against innkeeper or something at least or have heroic mode of the bosses, since I  agree that this was very underwhelming.

Chenvaala would be a must here almost, but add a few more elementals  and Elemental Allies for refill, maybe cut the frost nova for it and Archmage Antonidas wouldn't hurt. I've tinkered around this kind of list and it can be fun, but very very VERY inconsistent.

Smuggler's Run won't return since it didn't target friendly characters. It should only work with spells you target friendly characters with, but a bit unclear wording as often is the case with HS cards...
