Well I’m inclined to agree, but at least it’s getting nerfed to 5 mana in a couple days!
Yeeeeeah, that does diddly squat in terms of weakening him. He still cheats out free lich kings or rags or statues for as little as 2 mana.
If they were gonna nerf him, they shoulda reworked the res system. 1/1 tokens should come back AS 1/1's, not full healthed and attack minions. The whole system itself is broken and snowball, which Blizz supposedly frowns on this game. See: their excuse for nerfing mana wyrm.
Mana nerfs does absolute squat for this wild deck.
Barnes isn't the problem. Never was. Big Priest is more effective without Barnes. No one wants Barnes to resurrect later in the game. He takes up a spot on the board that can be used for truly effective minions coming back again and again.
Of course the ones who think they know the game go after Barnes cause he is the popular card to hate right now and totally miss the true strategy of Big Priest.
Barnes isn't the problem. Never was. Big Priest is more effective without Barnes...
This is true only in control matchs, Barnes is the key for the deck be able to deal with aggro and midrange, now he is nerfed to 5 maybe the entire archetype is in check because aggro is insanely fast in Wild, this extra turn to summon Barnes can be too late.
Without Barnes they absolute needed Vargoth in 4 or lose to anything else than control.
We all know the real issue and it isn't Barnes (although he is an issue). It's the fact that there is no actual graveyard for cards. The tokens don't get resurrected, the full fat minions do, and the number of times those minions can be resurrected is essentially infinite, and that is what Big Priest exploits. That is the problem Blizzard won't fix.
You can talk bollocks about winrates and kid yourself with the 'Wild is supposed to be stupid' arguments but the truth is that Big Priest is broken. It exploits a broken mechanic within the game that a card nerf won't fix. The whole graveyard (or lack of) needs to be reworked.
Given the speed of Wild, the nerf to 5-mana is a really big deal - Big Priest already struggled against the fast decks which dominate the format, with VS win-rates ranging from 33%-45% against Odd Paladin, Mech Hunter, Murloc Shaman, Quest Mage, and everything else that can win the game before Big Priest could swing tempo with a busted res-effect. Realistically, pushing those swings back a full turn will likely cost the deck 5% or more in its worst match-ups, while making its good match-ups a point or two worse as well.
Guessing the tier confusion is coming from Win Rate % from sites such as HSReplay. Big Priest is close to 60% there but there are plenty of decks like Odd Paladin, Aggro-secret Mage and Even Shaman come closer to 65%-69%.

Priest has kept up with that and not only now but in the past year with using low cost high health taunts that also have an effective deathrattle to boot and that will be brought back in the many many resurrections that big priest has and that is aside from the removal spells that Big Priest carries for individual minions as well as the whole board. Again with not using Barnes you opened up a spot in the deck to add one of those low cost high health taunts that do more throughout the match than the one trick pony that Barnes is. Big Priest with Barnes is the first iteration of Big Priest and it has long evolved since then. Any good player long abandoned Barnes for better and cards with far more value.
Barnes only keeps getting mentioned as it's the popular thing to do.

Yes we all know the real issue. Wild "Specialists" are the biggest bunch of whiners in the world.

We need to be able to exile cards, just like in MtG!!! XD XD XD
I know, I know, that would be too compicated for the average Hearthstone player. Damn... :P :P :P
Right now, even without Barnes nerf, Big Priest is tier 3 in Wild.
Oh, you must be a standard player? BP is high tier 2
Nope, I play both. Big Priest frequency is falling down considerably. The meta is extremely hostile. Secret Mage is the deck to beat in Wild. Here's RankStar's meta report conclusion:
"It was looking like we’re avoiding touching a beehive, but now that we’ve come to this, we’ll get this out of the way: Big Priest sucks right now. It dies to every single mage, it dies to BakuGenn, it dies to SN1P-SN4P Warlock, it dies to every Shaman that play transform effects. In the past, Big Priest used to bully Control decks consistently. But the resurgence of Reno decks with Zephrys spells bad news: they’re some of the best Control decks to queue into Big Priest. Mages can play Potion of Polymorph, Polymorph: Boar, a Polymorph they naturally play in their deck and a Hex from Zephrys. They can get an extra Twisting Nether on Turn 10. They can Kazakus potion you. There are many ways to finally outlast a Big Priest in Reno decks, making the traditional target market for Big Priest isn’t even that good anymore. If you aren’t a God who hits Barnes Turn 4 every game, you’re going to lose a lot."

That's all.

Check out my fun and innovative decks here:
Beat your opponent to a pulp with Revenant Warrior or outlast them with Demon Reno Warlock.

Never had problems with Barnes' single high rolls, but Vargoth get me really sad in res priest.
Said rank 15 player, LOL

How about something constructive to talk about? Go on....?
I don't think Blizzard's Hearthstone team will be perusing through these forums mate. Try reddit or their official forums.
