Extremely happy to see this card. I see it in value orientated deck, meaning strong late game minions. And in order to do that Paladin desperatelly need some new board removals, especially after Equality nerf. I dont think midrange can cut it in meta, considering how value, control and combo decks are right now in meta.
Awesome card! I'm going Dragondin in WILD! Now I only need a BIG PRIEST COUNTER CARD. And I will pre-order this expansion! Last expansion i bought for real money was KNIGHTS OF THE FROZEN THRONE.
This is true, however paladins heal synergies are already reliably usable. The point still stands that this card does not impact the board at all. The full heal is nice, of course, but this card doesnt defend you. Shrink ray, consecration equality, pyro equality, they have all been around forever, Let's also mention that pally is losing Tarim, another strong tool in control decks (not just aggro).
We're still at the same point as when the last expansion released, tools (some of which are better than others) that could build a control deck, but individually don't do much. On top of this, the deck still doesn't have a win condition (Uther is leaving). The full heal won't save you from aggro either, it may buy you one more turn and in fringe cases will win you the game, but a lot of the time after you play this your opponent holds free reign to do whatever they want with the board they just used to bring you low.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love for a control/heal paladin to be viable and I think it even may even have a shot to be strong (depending on the cards that get released), but not with this card.

They asked me what my favorite card was, well obviously its awaken the cheese makers, which gives you Pamarasan, warden of Cheese. (I just love cheesy puns)
Why is everyone so hyped about this card? I love control/heal archetype, but tree of life on a stick just doesn't scream that powerful to me. There are 2 main problems with slower paladin decks right now. First is their win condition and with DK rotating out we will only be left with holy wrath + shirvalah. The second one are the board clears, which paladin still does have some access to but they aren't that great. I really feel like slow paladins won't benefit that much from healing at this point, we already have plenty of that and even if we did not it wouldn't be that impactful that late into the game.
This card is great for a healing archetype but I feel like this card doesn't give what the Paladin wants. Paladin wants a cheaper dragon that can help control the board and this just stabilizes you (even though it doesn't have taunt). The card isn't a meme by any means so it can't be bad but I am not sure how good it is either.
Sure the effect is recycled but the type of deck you would run this in compared to tree of life is radically different. Thekal also makes this concept even more control.
Now how bout some finishers that aren't just fatigue
It's like a worse Amara that comes later and has no taunt.
Not sure if it's strong enough versus aggro or very useful against control. Maybe the dragon tag can enable some good minions on the way to the late game where you can play that.
As always it depends on what else will come as support.
That's a really good defensive tool in control and combo paladins. You aren't forced to run a dragon package with it, you can stick it in every slow (control-ish) deck you want. 10 mana is obviously slow, but the payoff is amazing and paladins have stalling tools like Shrink Ray, Time Out!.
My sincerest congratulations to all paladin players for getting some good non-aggro tools. I would gladly play control paladin, if I didn't lack cards there.
Damn, they are pushing control/dragon pala hard this time. I would like to try it.

Seems like nobody remembers a card called Dragon Consort. You can basically play the card on turn 8, which is preeeety goood. Or you can play it turn 10 with Sunfury Protector.
A strong card indeed, but nothing I'd want to put in any Paladin deck anytime soon. I mean, right after Equality was trashed and no other AoE in sight, I'm not looking at Paladin for any slow control or combo-oriented deck where a full heal for more stalling is useful. Also would have been nice if it had taunt. It's arguably better than Crystalsmith Kangor + Forbidden Healing, to say the least.
People comparing this to tree of life are right, it's a lot like it. You do get a 4/12 body for 1 mana extra, but just a 4/12 won't cut it. This card won't see play unless you can confindently and consistently give it taunt
Dragon Speaker makes this a 7/15...

Holy Wrath combo?

WE'RE BOTH GONNA BE RICH!!
Meme aside, I personally think this is pretty bad. If only she has Taunt...
So healing for up to 29 isn't enough? It needs taunt so it can block 12 more damage?
I think this is great because it has the dragon tag and it stays in your hand until you really need it so all your dragon triggers will happen.

I hope paladin can pull of dragons, I think the neutral dragons will define wether or not dragon paladin lives or dies.

Now Thekal and Alex sounds good in a Control Heal Dragon Paladin XD Maybe even the 4/4 that becomes an 8/8 when heal happen.

In a world where you are control and only your health matters this is insane.
F in the chat for those that open this legendary.
Oh man, we're sooooo close to a viable Dragon Paladin deck. We just need a few more cards to make this work.
