So to play around this I should basically leave one weak minion allive before casting a spell. There are plenty of times when you cant trade efficiently against token paladin so this can be awkward.
Only thing is, without baku are there going to be strong token or zoo decks for paladin?
I think this is one of the strongest Secrets Paladin has ever obtained. But with Divine Favor, Paladin loses the only draw engine that would synergize with cheap cards like Secrets.
With Bellringer Sentry, I think there's some chance this card will have success, but Paladin Secrets really struggle to find their way into decks without this kind of cheating.
I like it. It will make your board that much resistant to board clears. Aggro pala deck will be T1 again?

Meh. First of all not all decks play spells. Then people learn how to play around secrets. And this becomes a +2 health on a minion at some point in the game, or literally a card that does nothing (against zoolock for example).
I see overwhelming positivity in this thread, so what am I missing? Aren't you just overreacting exactly like when Witchwood Imp was revealed and a lot of people thought it was top tier ?
I am not sure if the card will be good in Standard but the card will be powerful in Odd Paladin. It is strong against AoE, which could make some Mage or Warlock players salty. I like it. We'll see how this will fare in the new meta.
When does "when" trigger, with regard to resolution of AOE spells?
You cast a spell and the "when" effect takes place immediately. It doesn't wait the resolution of your spell. Just think of the troggs that buff themselves whenever the opponent casts one (Burly Rockjaw Trogg, Stonesplinter Trogg). When and whenever are basically the same thing, though the latter effect procs multiple times.
Regarding the paladin secret - imagine how e.g. a druid casts Swipe on a minion of yours. No Surrender! will trigger before the druid spell resolves and this could save most of your minions (maybe all of them, if swipe doesn't overkill the targeted minion by 2 or more).
A good aggro card! Thank GOD!!!!
This is coming from a non-aggro player!
Yeah, buff that HP . So Priests have a more resilient minion to steal.
Defile just got defiled!!

So this killed baku?

I love how people won’t let go of odd and even crap.
This will be a good card, just wait. Great buff/tempo card.
I feel like as soon as you play this card, the concede button should be disabled for the entirety of the match. 😂
It's going to be annoying for sure.
This is a really solid card and I'm pretty glad I won't have to deal with it with Odd Paladin in standard.

Just when Odd Paladin in Wild could have been managed....

Where is the translate button?

Most of the hs community does not understand anything about paladin by looking at the vote of such a useless secret...
Poor Swipe.
I am a Paladin and don’t like that card.
