If another arcane giant-esque card comes out and this works like Naga Sea Witch, than summoning two 8/8s and a 10/10 is a pretty good turn, especially because you have two mana left over to hero power or wrath or something.
Thats a lot of ifs, but this definitelly has potential.
The 8/8 body shouldn't be ignored, but this card has a lot of conditions to be met for making it into most decks. ideally you'd want a 1 or 2 cost minion to copy on the same turn, 10 mana minions generally need to be build around cares to a degree to be worth it. As some have mentioned, charge is a possible direction, as you'd want immediate board impact. Even then this may be too slow.
I was thinking how you can guarantee to copy a minion that will be cheap to play as a 10/10. I couldn't figure out an application yet.
Arcane Tyrant is probably one of the best minions to copy. But he costs 5 mana so you can't combo him with Splintergraft . And if arcane tyrant costs 0 mana, you played a 5 mana spell, so you cannot play splintergraft either in the same turn. and then the tyrant needs to survive.
The same is the case for other promising minions like Saronite Chain Gang or some of the giants (since Arcane Giant rotates). Mountain Giant costs 3 mana with 10 cards in hand. Including an innervate would work, but that makes it inconsistent. Sea Giant could work, but it is too inconsistent since you need 8 minions on board and the opponent will then know you have a better sea giant in the hand and trade of his minions. And sea giant doesn't really fit slower midrange decks anyway.
The only reliable minion to copy would be corridor creeper, but firstly you would need to reduce the copied 10/10 minion again (which would still be okayish I guess) and secondly (and more severe) you would need to play the 2/5 Creeper for this sole purpose. I am not convinced to run creeper for this.
I still will try this minion and maybe there will be a new giant which can be reduced to 0 eventually. Then splintergraft will be a good tempo play. If not and you need to pay 10 mana for the 10/10 copy, I don't think it will be worth including.
I like it. Cant wait to try it out. Apparently im the only one who thinks Duskfallen Aviana is a good card
The awesome synergy between Splintergraft and Astral Tiger just occurred to me
How does this work with giants?

YO, Saronite Chain Gang THOUGH?! I guess if Dopplegangster was still a card that might also be playable.
This man is a genius. I mean, this legendary still stinks, but I'm laughing just thinking about it.
How long can this go on?

I guess this is the way Blizz shits on Druid after the Jade-stunt
Question : a 10/10 is base statline or just a buffed version (silence-able) ?
Card can be good in certain conditions, however it will be very hard to get the optimum result from this 10/10 card.
I guess it can be played in meme decks

works well with kun maybe? Other than that it's pretty bad way too slow.
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
I think anything with charge, stealth or lifesteal can be a good target.
so much potential in wild with aviana kun... throw some malygos on it... Can really do some crazy shit.
I am not seeing anything useful for standard... yet
Seems ok.
