Not really happy about this nerf.... It will most likely remove a deck type from standard completely. Deck diversity is, IMHO, a big issue already due to net decking and this change could reduce the amount of options even more. Plus, since mill decks are hard to master, the win rates were low anyway.
I can understand the "uninteractive" argument, but it's no less uninteractive than most face decks. Oh well, RIP Oracle....
Good, I'm glad it's gone. I jokingly said coldlight should be rotated a couple weeks ago, never thinking it would actually happen. My one hope is the lack of draw for some classes is addressed for some classes.
I guess there truly is a disconnect from veteran players and even somewhat new players. I've been playing since naxx, therefore not really a new player, and it is incredibly frustrating - especially now that mill rogue is far easier to play than it ever has - to have your whole gameplan become null just to this murloc. It is unbelievably unfun to have to dump 4 or 5 cards per turn just to hope to god they can't mill you anymore. I'll miss this card for dead mans don't get me wrong.
Also we have to remember that mill rogue has kind of been the same deck for a while now just interchanging various card packages (deathlord/antique/gang up before -> kingsbane weapon stuff now) so instead of gutting the rogue basic/expert to force the deck to change they just got rid of the coldlight.
Sure, mill can be annoying to play against, but what about those of us who don't really play priest or warlock and enjoy the chaotic nature of playing a mill deck? I'm bummed to see that the archetype will leave standard for the time being.
I couldn't be happier... I loathe the card from the bottom of my heart... In my opinion Mill isn't a strategy and I'm so so glad they killed it.... Hopefully the mechanic won't get anymore support EVER....

I doubt they address the lack of card draw in some classes precisely because they have weak card draw by design. See the quote "It offers unusually strong neutral card draw which can be detrimental to class identity". If it was only used in rogue - where card draw is extremely strong already - it probably wouldn't be moved.
It's basically a nerf to the rogue in standard good bye weapon rogue
Without the silence weapon card heavy control deck can not stop kingbane anyway. No more coldlight may make thing easier but control deck still on the clock.
How many mill decks did you face within your last 100 matches? I can remember 1, maybe 2 but thats it. Therefore I dont think this is done because mill is to powerful but because there is a different agenda or a potential interaction with new cards this year.
It's a great change to the health of the game. Every class being able to neutral mill was silly and it was too good when paired with Shadowstep and Vanish. I would have also thought a nerf to make it 1 card for each player would be acceptable, but I commented a week ago that this card and Ice Block were definitely getting the axe come rotation. I'm glad the team made the moves they did. I'm curious what all will end up getting nerfed now as well. My guess is Spiteful Summoner and Possessed Lackey both get 1 mana increases, as well as the expected Naga Sea Witch rework.
I bet if we took a poll of everyone saying they love the change and thought the card was "OP", we would find that they are all warlock mains. Boohoo one game out of 50 or so at best you get punished for hoarding cards until you can play your mountain giant on turn 4.

Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, but feel free to pop on over to wild so you can get smacked around proper.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Warrior got nerfed again. What deck can i plAy warrior as? Secret warrior ? Lol
I play mill rogue without valeera almost everyday cause i dont have her.
Combined with valeera this card power suddenly goes unlimited. blizzard seems want to push slower meta, and slower meta gets trashed by this combo.
Still look forward what new expansion try to fill the hole after this archetype gone from standard, for rogue at least.

maybe this is Blizzard´s way to nerf Kingsbane
besides this: the "limits design space"-explanation is exactly supposed to mean what?
without knowing, what might come in future expansions, this move to the Hall of Ban is just unnecessary, imo
This is me after reading the news

I'm happy that Oracle is rotating out. But at the same time, knowing that Divine Favor is not, makes me sad.
As a Wild player, i am happy that Mill is now more unique and specific to that mode.

#JeSuisFieryWarAxe!
If new sets doesn't compensate for Coldlight, I'm gonna be really sad. Mill rogue with Brann was the first deck that i saw about this game.
Edit: Holy hell, I just realized Dead Mans Hand is also nerfed by this changed. :(

Very sad to see this go. I guess this is just another reason to play Wild as Standard becomes, well more standardised and boring.
