Kele doesn't see much play in wild so I doubt it will get a nerf right before it rotates. Compared to patches, which was incredibly dominant in wild and still sees play in things like odd rogue or pirate warrior, would've been an issue if it wasn't nerfed.
I think he's saying he wants a counter to kingsbane in general because raiding party may make kingsbane good enough in standard and in wild kingsbane is already really strong (and there is not really a solid counter for it as weapon removal just puts off the inevitable)
The fact that you can make quest hunter and have the only one drops you run be from this card is pretty cool (as long as you have only 4 cards in hand which tends to be pretty easy as hunter)
I agree that this doesnt deserve a thread but telling people to go to the salt thread is akin to telling them that they shouldnt even voice their opinion lol. The salt thread is not a place for conversation, which is what this guy wants to have, its just a big cesspool where nothing constructive happens.
if you want to argue with OP about his opinion then do it, but telling someone to post in the useless thread is just admitting you have nothing constructive to say lol.
One thing that I loved about MTGA is the wild card system and I would love to see that in hearthstone. Opening a bunch of packs hoping for a certain epic or whatever only to get an epic you already had thats worth 1/4 of what you're trying to craft feels awful.
Getting a guaranteed wildcard every few packs along with the chance of getting one in any pack for an assigned rarity is a really great system, feels a lot less cheap than the whole dust value thing.
Hearthstone wins out on user friendliness and casual play by far though.
I agree that Blizzard should at least give at least a estimated release date, especially for stuff that people paid for like the HGG card back. Even if its not a solid release date that just seems like Blizzard is asking for backlash by not giving any information to the buyers waiting for what they spent money on.
Yeah I preorder no matter what at this point cause I know i'm going to play. I feel like Blizzard is really going all in on the casual element of Hearthstone for better or for worse, I really have no explanation for these cards as most of them seem completely unplayable aside from meme decks.
Rebuke may be alright as a one of because in aggro pally you can give up card advantage due to divine favor. its one of those uber polarizing card that when you try it at the right time you just win the game but otherwise its entirely dead.
The combo is clearly a card that limits design space. And if you look at it from blizzards point of view it is not really the most intuitive thing to play around, especially for new players lol. They always learn to trade up or trade evenly not just sack minions into large health minions for seemingly no reason.
It's the same argument as why spreading plague had to be nerfed its weird for new players to go against what they learned was right for the sake of playing around 2 cards.
Unfortunately as of right now I don't see any reason to play handlock in wild right now over the other control warlock archetypes. Giants warlock will still be a thing and cubelock would rather run all demons than handlock stuff. Handlock would have to get some pretty good cards to make it stronger than what warlock already has.
I guess there truly is a disconnect from veteran players and even somewhat new players. I've been playing since naxx, therefore not really a new player, and it is incredibly frustrating - especially now that mill rogue is far easier to play than it ever has - to have your whole gameplan become null just to this murloc. It is unbelievably unfun to have to dump 4 or 5 cards per turn just to hope to god they can't mill you anymore. I'll miss this card for dead mans don't get me wrong.
Also we have to remember that mill rogue has kind of been the same deck for a while now just interchanging various card packages (deathlord/antique/gang up before -> kingsbane weapon stuff now) so instead of gutting the rogue basic/expert to force the deck to change they just got rid of the coldlight.
Next rotation priest loses like all of its good dragon support cards they'll have to print some reasonably high powered dragon synergy cards to keep priest afloat.
I think when we talk about worrying about cubelock it should be broadened to worrying about control lock. Cubelock surged in popularity because it was a little more effective against razakus but now that raza is nerfed, we could see more regular control locks. That deck is probably as scary because they have rin for control and the same voidlords against aggro.
I think Raza would just then become a pretty much auto include in most priest decks if it didn't have any requirement. It is a shame that they're choosing to ignore cubelock like they did with raza priest a couple months ago. We're just gonna be in a control/cubelock for the next couple of months.
Patches I think is pretty dead in non full pirate decks, it may be ok with captain still but thats it. Drawing it is like game over lol
Creeper simply needed to be killed, maybe not as harsh, however even a minor change such as only being reduced by friendly minion deaths would put it into Volcanic Drake territory.

I don't even want a rigid date at least a ball park guess on when we'll get the content. Which Blizzard has shown to do before via pack pre-orders lol
