As someone that has taken token druid a couple times to rank 1, i really think this has great potential as a 1 off. People are correct that treants won't stick all the time but when they do, this could be great. I'm speaking strictly about decks using soul of the forrest.
More anti-combo cards are gonna be needed or we're gonna be depending on lucky warlocks and aggro/rogues being strong enough to keep this in check. Rip control mage. I'm gonna miss that deck.
Quite of few declaring a card bad because of one card that's only really played in 2 decks. One even warlock, it's a niche tech choice, and the other is Big Spell Mage which has quite a few counter match ups. I don't see anyone outside those 2 decks playing geist, maybe the occasional control warrior.
I don't think this will see play in taunt druid as it has anti-synergies with oaken summons and Oakheart. In Maly druid, it certainly gives the archetype more options.
Why wouldn't it see play in taunt druid? on turn 9 you can play hadronox without having naturalize in your hand and if your hadronox gets polymorphed you still have your 3/4 hadronox in your hand that you can cube and kill easier
Because oaken summons is a pretty important defensive tool and pulling a 3/4 with no taunt is really bad. Oakheart is often really important for making sure Hadronox ever gets on the board. Now after testing ppl might determine that's a downside their willing to accept in the meta that arises. Certainly not a possiblity I would completely dismiss, especially, with so many cards still needing to be revealed.
In a deck that runs floop you would not run summons or oakheart.
Exactly, so how are you planning on staying alive or having a chance against a combo druid or even shudderwock?
I totally agree that this is more obvious than the 4 mana 7/7 , :) but I remember People also lost their sh..t when Emporer Thaurissan was announced, there was even a prenerf before release Thread.
Do you think it’s Emporer level ?
Emperor enabled far more potent combos than this ever will even if you just consider druid and ignore all the other classes. Remember zero mana living roots?
Difference is that you need less cards and that Thaurissan is a lot less flexible than Floop. Also, it supports high meta tier decks. IMO Blizzard shouldn't print this card.
Pretty sure people would be freaking out more if ET was printed for druids over this card.

Interesting card. Could make tempo war a thing? I have no fricking clue. I'll leave that to ppl better at building decks.

Why would you break the weapon first? The whole idea is you end the turn at 10 mana and them at 5.

Apparently not since i got downvoted for stating just that. Somehow, you got upvoted. I must have posted when stupid ppl were online.

Why would you break the weapon first? Not that i was that serious in the first place.

It's not what I'd do but imagine a druid with the Twig weapon at one durability. Play this and break the weapon.
Edit: when i say not something I'd do, I mean from a deck building perspective, I'm not sure if its optimal.

With the right combination, this battlecry could be like a mysterious challenger from hell.
