Never heal early on. Play this on turn 9. Hope your opponent doesn't have removal. Next Turn play Forbidden Healing for 20 damage to the face. 10 mana 20 damage!
It's got good stats. Can be played in Control/Midrange Paladin as a one off. But 3 attack makes it a suicide against priest(Shadow Word: Pain) and Dragon decks(Book Wyrm). I think it's still good.
I know most of these minions aren't good but a number of them still show up in arena and so are important to count. Also, obviously you were mostly talking about lifesteal minion, I know, but wickerflame, corpsetaker and Chillblade Champion are, in my opinion good lifesteal minions. Chillblade will deal 6 damage on top of healing for free at LEAST 3. If you drop him behind a taunt likely even more. If you are running hand buff at all, well it start to get a bit crazy. The point is, there is a LOT of healing paladin has access too. There are lot of places to get solid mileage out of this card other than lifesteal creatures. It also has a fat enough body to make getting rid of it challenging. This is a card that, even if I can't combo it with anything on the same turn, I can still play and have a solid chance for it to live.
P.S. This is standard only, there are more sources in Wild obviously.
If this is played exactly the turn after you play Uther's DK card, it's insane. Otherwise it's a 6-mana 3\9 with no text on it. I don't think it'll see play after players figure out that there are better cards to play for 6 mana.

What if you managed to give this Lifesteal? Is that an infinite kill chain?
No, I think they fixed that mechanic
I heard about them fixing it anyway.
Ohh I see, well if they fixed it then this won't occur, kind of like they "fixed" Dreadsteed with Defile, but it might be that there's just zero way to actually give this Lifesteal in Paladin. I'd say a full board-clear combo would be loads of fun though if we can pull it off!
So if you Truesilver Champion a 2-health minion, then Blackguard kills it when you heal for 2, where does the Truesilver attack go?
(ominous music starts playing) The Twilight Zone.
Seriously though this is a very interesting game mechanics question and I have no idea what happens if a minion dies before it can be attacked by something that its attack made it die. Sorry for bad grammer.

That was just an example of a better card. There's also Sunkeeper Tarim, Ivory Knight... I mean, hell, you can always just play the new 6-mana dragon with a deathrattle that reads: have about a 50% chance to get a swiggity legendary card and about 50% chance to get a regular, well-stated card.
Ok, well, maybe the chance of getting a legendary dragon is closer to, about 35%, but it's still damn high. There are just so many of them at this point.

do you guys not understand the lifesteal mechanic? if it deals 2 damage to a minion it will heal 2 to face then do a further 2 to another minion, how do you understand this to be a full board clear?

@asteroidm
Because if it deals damage, that heals your hero. Whenever your hero is healed, this deals damage. Repeat.
This card is epic.
