The effectiveness of this card completely rests on how they decide to apply the damage. If your hero is "healed" for 2 damage from a Truesilver swing, but had 30 life to begin with, does it deal damage? Same with all other healing effects.
If the answer is yes, this card is Very Good. If the answer is no, this card is Bad. And I have a creeping suspicion based on how Ivory Knight works (if you pick a spell with higher cost than you're missing health you're healed for the less amount instead), the answer will be no.
you do realize that you now play
2 corpse takers that could have life steal
wicker flame with life steal
2 true silvers
and 2 ivory knights
and pally DK
the only bad part about this card is that it's 6 cost and not 5. if it was a 2/6 for 5 mana with this effect it would be a dream. But imo there will be a crowded 6 slot now in favor of late game.
really no reason to not play spike ridge, ivory, and this or you could play one of this and 1 ivory and 2 spike ridge might be better for the deck overall.

You misunderstand. If a healing effect doesn't actually increase your life total, will this card deal full damage or not. When I swing at full health with Truesilver, it doesn't say +2 it says +0
Totally not convinced. A 6 mana 3/9 that also requires solid healing if its affect actually trigger. Its slow, doesn't substantially impact the board, and requires a significant amount of healing cards. Pass... bad card
I know most of these minions aren't good but a number of them still show up in arena and so are important to count. Also, obviously you were mostly talking about lifesteal minion, I know, but wickerflame, corpsetaker and Chillblade Champion are, in my opinion good lifesteal minions. Chillblade will deal 6 damage on top of healing for free at LEAST 3. If you drop him behind a taunt likely even more. If you are running hand buff at all, well it start to get a bit crazy. The point is, there is a LOT of healing paladin has access too. There are lot of places to get solid mileage out of this card other than lifesteal creatures. It also has a fat enough body to make getting rid of it challenging. This is a card that, even if I can't combo it with anything on the same turn, I can still play and have a solid chance for it to live.
P.S. This is standard only, there are more sources in Wild obviously.
I said there are hardly any good lifesteal cards not healing cards :p out of the ones you mentioned only wikerflame and chillblade champ are the only lifesteal minions.

It won't do damage if you are at full health. But being at full health is hardly something to complain about. Indeed if you are at full health they likely don't have board for you to worry about clearing...
PS: It will only be applied to Truesilver, not the new weapon gathered by Death Knight, since you need to attack with it to Lifesteal.
Holy shit that is really cool :D that actually makes the card better, though not significantly...well...unless your opponent has a board full of 2/2s or worse. Then it's just an easy board wipe, 2 health for every minion and you get to keep your weapon. Jesus that is actually really good against Living mana!. It'll feel bad though if your opponent has four 2/2s and one 4/4 and you attack the 4/4, low roll and hit the 4/4.

A free Consecration for you and remember that you will also heal your hero multiple times for free. That's like a Juggler RNG, there's always a chance to hit the unwanted target.
If that cost 5 mana, you could've played on curve after Truesilver but hey, stats are pretty good.
Forbiden healing and Rag are the only reliable heals pala has and this card wont make other heals playable. More dust from KFT
This card is great with 6 mana horse on next turn, even 2 mana heal from horse will make 6 damage to minions :) Also playing DK hero next turn will give you 5 damage from weapon and 5 damage to other minion, which is great.

Ivory Knight is mediocere at best you dont wanna run two bad cards in a deck without much draw to make a them work . Plus this card has some really though competition at the six mana slot. Generaly, a card that does nothing the turn it gets played or has taunt ,is bad and wont see play. (Druid can yolo Innervate a Fandral that does nothing but thats a different thing).

Pardon but Ivory night sees play now in control paladin. With the some of the other cards Paladin got I can see a control Paladin being very good. Likewise 4 of in the 6 drop slot isn't that uncommon in Control. The card doesn't do "nothing" either. It heals and generates a card which off sets the "not a lot of draw" comment you made. As a matter of fact in a deck that is looking to control without a lot of draw, this card is fantastic. Control is also a tier 2 deck right now so it's not like Ivory Knight is "fringe" Play.
Edit: I realize you may be talking about blackguard as a card that does nothing the turn it comes into play. If that is the case I understand your point. I honestly don't see this in control paladin despite their plethora of healing. I see it in a midrange corpsetaker deck with some healing and lifesteal. Basically a situation where you can play it on board with a lifesteal affect present and get more use and board impact right away.

Then this card is bad. Heals aren't falling off trees, you need to maximize their value for this card to be useful, and missing out on damage due to this condition breaks the card.

Synergizes well with dk hero
Dat stat distribution tho. You don't need much healing to make this good, and Paladin has plenty. Truesilver, Ivory Knight, Lightlord, etc.
Uther of the Ebon Blade makes a control paladin deck have no need for a 2nd Forbidden Healing, or a Lay on Hands etc. With it you just need Ragnaros, Lightlord and just 1 copy of Forbidden Healing, double Truesilver Champion and Wickerflame Burnbristle. That's just enough. You play Uther, next turn you play Wickerflame or Corpsetaker with Blackguard and that's just a huge swing. 5 damage with the sword, 5 damage from blacknight himself and that's just OP. You can kill Alexstrasza easily with that combo.
FOR THE HORDE!
I really wanted a demon for warlock that did this effect on you taking damage on your turn. maybe in a later set
6 mana 3/9? How many times this effect will gonna trigger? I don't know. It's playble, but thats it.
My magic will tear you apart!
Yay, now I have more targets for my Book Wyrm
Drop Reno Jackson and deal 20 dmg to a 1/1 Imp.
