Lets get the obvious out of the way... this card is only good, and just OK, for murloc decks (duh)... 1) I hate murloc decks and refuse to play them- so for me its dust 2) and this is more relevant, this card typifies the soft nerf for discover and/or random spell generation mechanic Blizzard has increasingly been implementing. The more deck specific spells that are used weaken the above mechanics, weakening the cards altogether and undermining the meta in general. If thats what Blizzard is hoping for, they are just making the overall game weaker, less competitive, and less enjoyable. NOTE- This opinion is not just about "Ice Fishing" but what this card and deck specific spell cards like it do to the overall meta. So ya it seems like an overreaction... but does it in principle... or is my hate for murlocs clouding my judgment... IDK
Ez include in murloc decks. I don't see murloc shaman suddenly being a thing (although who knows, that murloc package is pretty close to being playable) but certainly it's pretty close (although idk if the quest would be played too be honest. So.... I voted playable. Because even if I don't think it'll see play in knights, it's very close to seeing play and needs just a little bit more support to push it over the top.
Here comes Finja and the boys. Seriously though, instantly drawing Finja, the Flying Star or at least something like Bluegill Warrior and Murloc Warleader is gonna be really good. I could try building a Murloc OTK deck with something like that, though it might be tough with Rockbiter Weapon costing 2 mana and idk about the reliability of Bloodlust for something like that. I might post a deck for it sometime.
the problem is playing this early. the card is very good but not something you should mulligan for and if you have any other 2 cost play, do that instead
Questless murloc shaman really want to have the coin to gain it's tempo. Either playing primalfin totem to usually automatically have a murlocs stick for rockpool Hunter or playing brrrloc to regain the tempo. The problem with murloc shaman is that the only good one drop for it is tidecaller unlike paladin which has Inquisitor which usually sticks. Maybe patches package along with flametongue is a must here.
This is solid Card Draw in a Murloc Deck. Nowt wrong with that. A good Unite the Murlocs deck should be here somewhere, what with all the new Freeze effects and the Murloc synergy coming out.
I've been looking for a good 50-55% WR Murloc deck for sometime now. Could this expansion finally provide it?
Is this real have you never heard of murlocadin? T1 murloc deck lol
I like this, helps my idea of quest control spirit echo shaman. Thinning your deck of murlocs helps make sure you draw your good non quest related cards later on.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
This isn't just a 'Murloc Shaman' card. This is a card that can function as a toolbox if you splash in whichever of these four Murlocs you want to run for utility purposes.
Wonder if you play this with no Murlocs if you just whiff; or if you get Tinyfins [Like Sense Demons gives you Worthless Imps]
Very good, I like it, maybe it will be the last incentive for me to craft the Shaman quest.

conditional tutoring for a class that traditionally doesnt have a lot of decent draw is always nice.
The card its very good for sure, but Murloc Shaman never really shine.
My magic will tear you apart!
Meta Defining for sure! Drawing two cards with no drawback for 2? Insane.
In the right deck this is a 2 mana "draw two cards you choose (mostly)". Pretty strong.

It is nice this card is for shaman, if is a paladin card the already strong murlock deck will become worse.

Frozen Shammy will be a thing in either this or the next xpac lol.

We get it Blizzard; you want Murloc Shaman to be a thing.
But seriously; Shaman draw cards are so rare it's hilarious.
Outside of the obvious 'Murloc Deck' however; this can be a tech card in any shaman deck; if Shaman chooses to run specific Murlocs.
Specific Murlocs you may want to splash into your deck and search out:
Bluegill Warrior - Charge answer; that can be used in tandem with Flametounge Totem. Can also be used to push for extra face damage; especially with Bloodlust
Bilefin Tidehunter - Gives a cheap 1/1 taunt to block a hit.
Coldlight Oracle - Remember that thing about Shaman card draw? How about you thin your deck by 2; and then draw 4.
Brrrloc - Freeze on demand!
This isn't just a 'Murloc Shaman' card. This is a card that can function as a toolbox if you splash in whichever of these four Murlocs you want to run for utility purposes.

Now I'm getting excited. Grabbing Primalfin Lookouts and then producing even more murlocs? Yes please and yesterday!
May God bless us all and open our eyes to HIS TRUTH.
