This card is absolutely insane! I don't know how many times I've needed a shadow word death or pain or one of my several board clears and let's be honest priest is the biggest culprit of floating mana. So to me the cost is fine, and the effect is better than fine. I'm running 2 of these in every priest deck.
Can you imagine this card existing in old school Control Priest era? Priest always has Entomb in hand for Tirion, Highmane, etc, always has Death for 4 mana 7/7, always has Lightbomb for Dr. Boom....shit would be nuts.
It's still going to be good, guys.

Only issue is that it will only work in wild with Thaurissan. Plus, we already pretty much had that in standard (Embrace the Shadows + Flash Heal + 2 Mind Blasts) and nobody used it. I guess it's one more tick of Thaurissan but still any reliance on Thaurissan for more than one card tick can be painful.
True enough, but unlike Embrace the Shadows, you don't need to discount this and play it in the same turn as your combo. You have to play it earlier and get a combo piece to discount. This makes it better in some ways and worse in others (I assume it can whiff if you draw your mind blasts first) Maybe worth experimenting with in wild for some fun times.
You can also mulligan Awaken the Masters and then use this to get a second legendary secret! 2x the Amara, 2x the fun!
I don't think you can. Blizz already said that quest cards do not get stopped by Counterspell. I assume quest cards simply do not count as spells, and probably also do not trigger the likes of Wild Pyromancer/Mana Wyrm/Violet Teacher.
I think it just cannot be found by Shadow Visions as that only finds spells.
Excuse me - when did blizzard stated this?
from what ive heard - they had the playtests, that Turn 1 Secret dude from mage into counterspell was some kind of counter to the turn 1 quests
And, well, I guess with time you will see why this is *very* powerful, probably even too powerful in a highlander deck.
I don't care about "original mtg stuff".
This isn't mtg. There are already tutors out there in Hearthstone and this new card is not the "closest to tutor cards you will ever see".
And I never said this card is weak, read again. But actually... this card IS weak, and will never see play in Standard, and will never see play in 80% of wild priest decks either. Will be auto-include in otk priest of course and that's about it.
Personally i think this use of discover went a bit off the rails, although probably in the next expansion we'll have something like "discover a card from your hand/opponenet's hand".
This is a great card! especially in a class that is looking to extend the game......priest is looking strong in this expansion......time to make sure i have all the other priest cards. This gives you 3-4 of another spell and it's a discover effect not just a random.

Discover a card you are currently playing and add a copy of it to your hand; it costs (0). Infinite value kappa.

Hmmm. This card is stupid slow, buuuuut I cant say that I dont want a chance at more removal, more AOE, easier to find removal combos, etc. This could be an interesting sleeper card if he right kinds of priests show up in the meta.

They said it on the stream with day9 last friday (on /playhearthstone). I think during the part where they revealed the arcanologist mage card.
Edit: oh it seems that it's easy to mishear "you can", for "you can't". So you are right, they are counterspellable.
well ok - im actually happy, that I got it right - because, lets be honest, it is good that they are some kind of counterable
what im still interested in is, how they (the quests) interact with stuff like eater of secrets and kezan mystic
Also i guess, it could be happening that we get some Tech card to destroy only quests - maybe not this expansion but maybe in the next - we will see...
This card has incredible potential. I think it could be good in any deck, but it will be especially interesting in decks that only run 3 specific spells. I'm interested to see what other spells Priest gets from Un'Goro.
I would guess that this is costed such that not every Priest deck will want it. Sure, many Priest spells are powerful but situational, which seems perfect for Shadow Visions, but Blizzard would be wary of printing auto-include cards at Epic rarity.
Instead, I imagine that this will be used primarily by combo decks (and Reno/Highlander decks).
However, should Blizzard print any ridiculously broken spells then Shadow Visions will exacerbate their impact. Indeed, I wonder if Blizzard might come to state in future that Shadow Visions limits design space?
If you run 2 copies of a spell does it shows twice on discover or once? If once you can make this card really consistant in a minion heavy deck, you pay 2 mana for the consistancy of having a choice and like 3 copies of spells making it harder to play around stuff.
The ability to get three of some spell in your deck is immensely powerful. How many times have you played something because "they already used both Shadow Word Pains"?
2 mana is a premium cost to basically do nothing though....
I'm thinking about this in a Raza/Kazakus Shadow Priest. One minor issue is that you can't really put a second copy of Shadowform into a singleton deck. This is probably the best chance to get two casts of it in a single game. Probably won't be enough for tier-one, but seems like fun.
Another awkward thing: you'll usually want to cast this as soon as you draw it, and you want to draw it early. Like the meme Barnes/YSharj decks, if you draw the spells you want to discover with this before you can cast it, Shadow Visions goes down in value. Dedicating an early turn to trying to snag a key spell might be hard.
Great for fetching specific removal depending on the situation, 2 copies of a spell just doesn't seem enough to consistently draw your answers when you need them - especially vs faster decks

this card is good, is a two mana draw a card, because is a card from your deck, its a lot better than discorver random cards :D

This is a bad, super-useless card when you already drew all the spells out of your deck though....

interesting can have more then 2 copy of spell
