Yeah this card is just made to screw over Miracle players
Nope, it's made to screw over anyone.
I guess you can play sunwalker, but only on the play? I don't know, I don't understand how a card like this got through.
"b-but it's only a legendary! you can only have 1!!!!!!!!!!!". Ya, Sylvanas certainly wasn't the highest impact card in the game before it was nerfed, and you could even remove her.
Since a lot of games come down to just 1 turn, that means it's fairly powerful, but it's not going to be the be-all end-all of cards. On the whole, I expect it will be favored by rush decks, since they're mostly concerned about a single spell type: the board wipe - and you can usually predict when that is coming.
It will also hamstring a lot of spell intensive decks, like Miracle and Freeze Mage.
This does not particularly surprise me - both of those decks have been getting a lot of grief for being "non-interactive." However, I do not think that it marks the death of Control, merely changes it's shape to encourage more minions.

Well if you read the rest of my post you'd realize I mentioned how the card is good against almost any non-aggro deck too. Miracle just seems to be hurt the most. I will agree though that I feel like it might be too strong. If it is a 5/4 it might be a bit better cause then it would be on par with Harrison, but as it is now, I see very little reason to run Harrison over this if I could only have one or the other. This guy is just better against more decks and has better stats.

You thought there would be something inspirational here didn't you?
Huge 5/5 body with no drawbacks is a bit too much regardless. People are all for this card bc it screws up rogue, but it affects just about every deck other than zoo.
The BIG problem with this card is that it has an AMAZING battlecry effect, and NOT only that it's a VALID CARD with SOLID STATS... If it was a 3/4 or better yet a 2/5 (5 mana) people wouldn't be winning that much...
My first reaction was love, but it is really really good and I am concerned about that. The one deck that this card will single handedly win games against is freeze mage, which may make freeze mage see absolutely no play. I think against miracle rogue, this card says stall their card drawing/game winning turn by 1 turn, but they can still do other things like play Azure Drake. But against freeze mage it says "Your opponent skips his/her next turn"... Which is op
All around the card seems a little bit too powerful and may end up in every deck, depending on the meta (Except combo decks like freeze mage, miracle rogue, etc.)
I'm glad that this card comes out after this season is over, because I want to keep playing freeze mage :p
This does make the leak from a few weeks ago seem a wee bit more valid, although the leak suggested it would make Battlecry minions cost 5 more, not spells.
As for the card itself, me likey. Would be a decent fit in a defense-minded deck and makes the meta a more interesting scene until the expansion.
Edit: Just re-read the card, it only effects the turn after it is played. That does seem to stop it from being all the way OP, so it's effects on the meta shouldn't be massive, imo.
I think they changed it actually. They probably made the card to be a hard counter to miracle (9 mana Leeroy) but the real problem with Miracle it's the cheap cost spells that make possible to draw your entire deck for example. So +5 on spells, but who knows?
Yet this is a huge tempo play. It might shake the meta a bit because people will think twice before using one heavy spell based deck (since this card could make you do a Turn 10 > Hero Power > Pass). I think it's a powerfull card, really well designed.
It's a pain against Miracle, but way more useful on it, Turn 5 Loatheb, Turn 6 hit in the face shadowstep him, turn 7 hit in the face shadowstep him.
You can also set plays with Anub'ar Ambusher, which is also 5/5 to trade with opposing Loathebs. You thought miracle was uninteractive, this is utterly uninteractive
He could fit well in a miracle deck that's looking to counter other miracle decks haha, via Shadowstep and whatnot. Otherwise, I don't see him doing much except delaying the inevitable. Could work in a good aggro deck though.

I think against miracle rogue, this card says stall their card drawing/game winning turn by 1 turn, but they can still do other things like play Azure Drake.
But that's the thing! We are on a pretty "One turn to rule them all" Meta. If you play Loatheb as a druid against a miracle rogue on turn 7~10 and the rougue just play one Azure Drake or Hero Power > Pass you can win on the next turn with FoN + Savage Roar or built your side of the field with minions that miracle Rogues just can't handle with.
It's only one Turn, but that one Turn can decide the entire game.
-Mages It forces mage to not try the lethal combo and if you broke Ice Block that turn as well it will cost 8 to replay. They have to chose is it better to Frost NovaDoomsayer or Ice Block and play 2 mana, Sorcerer's ApprenticeDoomsayer or ping pretty much. If it was their second Ice Block it forces the previous.
-Druid, Stalls the Wombo Combo
-Priest stops all spell removal but Shadow Word: Death which then uses 8 mana, So two 5 cost minions would be strong Loatheb [/card] +[card]Venture Co. Mercenary? lol probably not but the main point is still valid. It also Makes Circle of Healing removal really expensive that 0 cost spell would now cost the entire turn 5 and still not remove Loatheb [/card] without trading [card]Auchenai Soulpriest into Loatheb. But without trading no way to remove Loatheb on turn 5.
-Warrior their cheap removal is now expensive Whirlwind+ Execute unusable,Shield Slam is expensive,Shield Block expensive so cant fish for an answer. Although it sounds nice I don't believe it is overly devastating to warriors due to its minion and weapon removal as well.
-Shaman All his cheap spells will now actually be costly and still give his overload. Pretty devistating as alot shaman use spells to maintain board control. Not so much a great turn 5 card as Shamans avoid playing spells on turn 5 so they can Fire Elemental turn 6 and so it hits a bit of a dry spot. But it can make a late game Feral Spirits looks pretty unappealing at 8 mana 2 overload. No Al'Akir the Windlord+Rockbiter Weapon
-Zoo pointless only makes Soulfire [/card] cost more
Fits in amazingly to the current meta, some test decks we were running on cockatrice would be less effective against but still strong. I would Compare it to [card]The Black Knight in value.
My first thoughts when i saw the card for the first time..
With the current meta, this is going to be the 5-drop to save the day. It won't be in every deck like pre-nerf Sylvanas Windrunner, but it is still incredibly strong.

everyone will run this and i mean everyone just to fock with the miracle, i like this

That 5 mana coin though, such value :S

ok what will happen if you faceless this card :) will the effect stack

Nothing, faceless doesn't activate battlecries.
This card seems very powerful to me, but I'll have to see it in action before passing any judgement.

It has many uses that give you an extra turn.
-Mages It forces mage to not try the lethal combo and if you broke Ice Block that turn as well it will cost 8 to replay. -Paladin Stops Equality+ Consecration entirely and Equality + Wild Pyromancer on any turn before 9. MakesDivine Favor in the shockadin deck hard to play and stops Lay on Hands or Avenging Wrath. Unlikely to play Loatheb to stop these but the buff/Heal cards Blessing of Might Holy Light are also very expensive and the holy light would almost be entire negated by Loatheb 5 damage as well.
-Hunter It can stop the Starving Buzzard + Unleash the Hounds combo. Also makes setting up a trap expensive
-Rogue I think this goes without saying
-Handlock it does stop the Shadowflame Soulfire and Power Overwhelming but other than that its not too effective tbh
-Zoo pointless only makes Soulfire [/card] cost more
Fits in amazingly to the current meta, some test decks we were running on cockatrice would be less effective against but still strong. I would Compare it to [card]The Black Knight in value.
to all the "only one turn" people... why do you think ice block is so strong? its gives you ONE more turn. and very often that is all you need.
This card will fit quite nicely in my Druid deck :)

This card's profile image has reminded me of some “leak" we have seen earlier. The world is full of coincidences.
An eye for an eye, leads the whole world blind.
