zoo zoo zoo zoo zoo zoo zoo zoo zoo ZOO ALL DAY EVERYDAY. why the hell is blizzard promoting aggro so much?!?!
I think it's because Blizzard wants the players to interact more through minion trades than through spells.
However, you have to find Loatheb in the first 15 cards of your deck if you want prevent the opponent from using AoE spells, while AoE spells are always in x2 copies, increasing the chance to find them in the first cards of the deck.
if it was 5/4 i could understand it maybe, so you can trade with yeti or punish it with argent commander but a 5/5 for 5 with this ability is nuts. i think it would ve been ok as a 2/4 for 5.
FINALLY a card that counters spells in some way. Other than mage secrets their are no other serious spell counters in HS (there is Cho but that is not really a counter). This is way overdue.
I think this will definitely bring a lot more zoo than people realize. Not because it is that strong for zoo but because it also hurts every aggro deck except zoo. A lot of aggro decks use spells right in the T5 range to setup finshers or to finish.
Aggro mage who wants to finish with fireball, frostbolt, etc after losing the board. Too bad
Aggro Rogue who wants to keep pressure with cold blood and eviscerate. Not anymore
Aggro Paladin who would be looking to restock their hand or finish with consecrate or avenging wrath. Slow down big guy.
Aggro warrior? No more enrage or mortal strike finishers. Suck it.
Aggro Hunter? How about you wait another turn to bite people to death.
This card is designed to throw a kink in the works right when EVERY deck in the game (except zoo) is looking to cast spells.
I don't think I like the card. In a way it reminds me of Pagel/Tinkemaster where as if you win the RNG battle (in this case it's drawing it turn 5-7) you'll win, and if you don't, then it's much less valuable. I'd much rather this card ben an epic. It could be a 3-4 mana card with 2/2 or 3/3 bodies and the battlecry is 1 extra mana for one turn. That way you can have at least two of them, and it would still counter other decks rather than be implemented as an artificial nerf to some of the popular meta decks.
Interesting card, personally I think it has a lot of potential in Handlock to stop creature removal the turn you decide to play your Magma Giants, but I think at 5 for 5/5 it's clearly as under costed as Sylvanas Windrunner was. I mean compare Loatheb to Elite Tauren Chieften, which is one of the only 5 for 5/5 minions in the game other than Stranglethorn, and this card is way above par.
Welcome to this topic, I'll talk a bit about the new legendary map Loutnev! This card is very useful against frieze mag, miracle rogue, shaman. This card is useful against these classes because they have a lot of spells. And if for example Miracle Rogue will do a combination of against you eg 7-8 run with Autstioneer you can control the action. On the other heroes a little different situation from other heroes just a lot of spells and you can easily control them. best to put this minena when you have on the field is the taunt or what could entice more to kill your opponent.Good luck to everyone and write a comment if you liked this post!
I get the feeling though that this card won't be as good in practice as it is on paper though. Knowing when to drop this guy, and then having this guy during that time frame is gonna be a big thing with him. Just because he could drop a Loatheb against a Concealed Auctioneer, doesn't mean he will be able to. I do agree that if he was a 4/4 or a 5/4 or a 4/5 I think he'd be less splashable, but coming from a Yugioh background, I have nothing wrong with cards that are highly splashable.

You thought there would be something inspirational here didn't you?
The only really hard combo could be R2 double innervate+coin Millhouse+Loatheb, but for this you need both cards, coin and both innervate... far too unreliable.
Whats with all this double innervate and getting out early stuff??? The earlier you get him out the more you lower his potential.. Loathheb is a middle/late game card. Also there was already 5/5 minions before him.
You wanna use him when you got board presence and you know for a fact flamestrike is coming... You want to use him to get more value out of your other minions. Playing him early is a complete waste.

by what i can see here i guess the third boss from the wing you get as legendary
Military Quarter third boss rivendare we get him as legendary card
Plague Quarter third boss Loatheb we get him as legendary card
so by logic from the Arachnid Quarter we get maexxna, just sayin
Turn 1: Double Innervate, Loatheb
Turn 2: Get rekt.
Also, does that mean we get a 5 mana coin?
The first card getting nerfed: In the end it will be either a 6 mana card or getting nerfed to 5/4.
I'm not sure if a turn 1 loatheb would be the best play. Not enough spell denial there.
Double innervate Loatheb it's really bad. You're not using it's potential, you're just putting one 5/5.
And yes, 5 mana coin.
I hope it gets the Adrenaline Rush treatment

It's a great card but man everyone is overreacting.... Screaming "nerf!","loathebstone", and "Miracle is dead"... Come on, really? LOL
Has everyone lost their mind??? Breathe for a second people..
actually you are wrong, Loatheb is a card players will be able to collect,
Your call, but that's a lot of tempo loss.
