The new expansion has sucked the fun and life out of the game for me. I'm not having fun at all. also, If I see one more "shudderwock drain deck" I'm going to lose it. Anyone else feels like the game is no longer fun for them?
I'm at rank 4 and there are literally 0 shudderwock decks here bc they actually suck. my issue is the literal only 3 decks that exist at higher rank:
Aggro paladins
Cubelocks
Spiteful druids
there is virtually nothing else here. and it feels like playing kobolds and catacombs, except you have less tech to counter bc of the standard rotation. YAY!
I reached rank 5 pretty easily with my Zoolock (I beat every Odd Pala because of Chain Gang, Tar Creeper and Despicable Dreadlord) and now I'm just playing fun or interesting decks on the rank 4-5 border. Don't take HS too seriously, just play what you want to play and don't rage after every loss!
I'm in the same boat, except that I'm experimenting with Shudderwock builds in Wild (mostly non-OTK version and some hilarious ones with Yogg and N'zoth) I kinda have nothing to play. everything that looks any fun at all isn't very good or is too expensive, and it's just hopeless against Warlock.
it's rough. think we're in for some nerfs soon.

''He traded sands for skins, skins for gold, gold for life. In the end, he traded life for sand.''
This has been the most underwhelming release I can recall in 3+ years of playing. I'm trying to experiment with WW cards, but as the games go on I remove more and more of them from my decks and my win rates increase.
The best decks currently are:
Aggro Paladin - 1 new card
Spiteful Druid - 0-1 new card (optional)
Cubelock - 2 new cards
Spiteful Priest - 2 new cards
Aggro Mage - 1 new card
And all 5 of these archetypes existed before WW. There's nothing new, besides the 40% win rate Shudderwock meme.
As for Shudderwock "OTK" Shaman, that deck is bad af, so it has never been and never will be an issue. Some bad Warlock players got their asses handed to them and now the whining started.
Generally Witchwood is a nice surprise, although I really wanted to see something that would break Cube (possibly something midrange). Thing is, Cubelock is stron enough that there is pretty much nothing to ruin it's dominance, and now we'll have 3-4 decks that hardcounter each other on the ladder. I'm still hoping for Tempo Warrior, but it doesn't look good :(
both Wild and Standard are the playgrounds of Paladin and Warlock right now, though there are less Paladins around since Warlock is the only thing that can stop it rather easily. I think Call to Arms is gonna get the hatchet for sure and Possessed Lackey might just get changed completely. they also gave Warlock too much healing (30 + Bloodreaver Gul'dan in standard, rendering even Reno Jackson obsolete) amazing late game and amazing board clear, leaving them with absolutely no weakness. I'm not sure are they really gonna nerf like 5 cards or so from Warlock, but it might be needed. Life Tap has also been a problem since the beginning of Hearthstone, now more than ever.

Is Shudderwock a low rank deck? I mean that honestly and without condescension. At legend rank, all I have seen almost exclusively is Odd Paladin, Taunt Druid and one or two warlocks.
I would actually love to see a shudderwock deck now and then for a bit of variety. I saw a fair few for the first week or so until people realised just haw bad the deck is.
Well im rank 3 atm. And im facing a myriad of decks its pure chaos. But if thats all you face then just play a deck that counters all 3 and you will be legend Today?
there's literally nothing that counters all these 3 decks. decks that counter aggro pala are beaten by cubelock. and decks that counter cubelock are beaten by aggro paladin. this is bc one is a hyper aggro deck and the other a hyper control deck. there's nothing that counters both, if there was it would be god tier.
there's no point in counterpicking druid as its the least one you'll face of the three.
High ranking play not getting changed up is really a let down. The tech that would work against paladin is useless against warlock, and you can't not prepare for warlock when it's 50% of the decks. I'd really like to see some new cards, but this meta feels exactly as it did 2 months ago. That's pretty frustrating. I'm tired of playing Cube lock just to compete. Like there isn't a choice, If I want to be good that's what I got to do, and then if I want to win the mirror match I have to run cards that are too slow against paladin, and if I run cards that are strong against paladin I'm worse against other warlocks.
I teched in a Twisting Nether and a Curse of Weakness. They are basically the only two slots in my list I can play with. I want more decisions than this. In short, no I'm not having very much fun.
I'm having fun so far. I've played my Astral Tiger/Cube Druid. Shudderwock shaman, while not good is fun (level 10) for some laughs. I haven't gone to the dark side and played cubelock as I want to try new stuff. I've had good success on and off with Tempo Mage. Odd Paladin I played a few games with and didn't do well with. Even Paladin I have but haven't tried yet. Played some Spiteful Druid yesterday and I still have a Rush Warrior deck to try out. I'm not in a Rush...pun intended to play the same 3-4 decks. I'd rather have fun playing new stuff before falling back into the grind of only playing T1 or T2 decks.
At the moment it feels like some kind off Rock, Papers, Scissors game. There is no middle ground where two different decks are playing fairly. Either you lose hard or you win significantly... And you know it almost straight away so there is no suspense or thrill...
Agreed re: having the best time. Ultra aggro decks are a little annoying, but there's ez counters to them. I'm loving the variety of decks we are seeing.
yesterday i faced like 70% of the time odd/even paladin around rank 7... it was really frustrating. so i built a counter to that archtype and now i have fun. every time i see paladin opponents i feel really good. Tempo Warrior <3

Just reached rank 5 with Hadronox.Cube Druid. that deck actually counters all of the top tier decks at a reasonable success rate.
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
I've no clue what I'm doing...

I wanna hang around between rank 20-15 in wild, there is just so must going on there ........
