I, admittedly, never played Rogue very much before the WOG expansion. However, I thought the Deathrattle Rogue would breathe new life into the class, but no. Maybe I have terrible RNG, but I've dropped 4 ranks on this class tonight. I've been playing the game for a while now (2 years) so it's not like I'm a terrible player, but it's pretty out of control
Get used to the deck first, by playing against friends who also play competitively.
Or if you can't do that, use it on Wild's ladder to play against decent opponents. The key is to work out all of its kinks before taking it to the higher ranks.
Would help if you could post your decklist as well to see!
N'Zoth Rogue suffers from the fact that it's a bit too slow combined with very few sources of healing. It's very hard to rebound back against faster decks if they can deal enough damage.
Reno N'Zoth is a bit more consistent because you can get a lot more extra health to sustain with. Was shadowing a friend when he was playing this deck last night while we were climbing the rank 10-5 ladder together and he was climbing pretty alright with that deck.
Personally I don't really see the point of playing Deathrattle Rogue in standard when it's so much more fun in wild.
Only deck I really play in wild but it's totally worth it. Seems the format doesn't really have tier lists yet, but I imagine it will end up in a decent one.
I don't think its a bad archetype, but its not as good as Miracle. Death rattle rogue really needs solid early cards to support it, so they can get good Unearthed Raptor copies off. Unfortunately, with Nerubian Egg gone, there really isn't a replacement. Undercity Huckster and Loot Hoarder give you card advantage, but they're not sticky.
The funny thing is, Blizzard dedicates all these cards to Rogue and Hunter to be the Deathrattle classes, but Paladin N'Zoth blows them out of the water, because Tirion.
How could it compete with other very strong decks? One good deathrattle with taunt. Having N'Zoth summon a taunt is HUGE in deathrattle decks -especially when you are low on healing options. (I think this is the main reason Pali is the top N'Zoth class in standard.)
In fact, I bet if you ran your deck in Wild and threw a Sludge Belcher or two in there, Rattle/Raptor Rogue would be amazing. No joke.
Well, as a rogue player, I think that the deathrattle rogue is good if you are able to make your own changes.
For exemple, I'm more a control player, so my kind of playing is more board control orientated. But this can change with good card choises. Above all, you need to like playing rogue.
I made one deck and I've been succesfull with it. Here goes the list:
Because as it turns out rogue as a class doesn't favor a board oriented gameplan at all, and I'm glad that despite blizzard's constant attempts at pushing it towards that line, they have been largely unsuccessful so far. We already have a million classes like that in the game, when I play rogue, I want to be drawing through my whole deck and killing my opponent.
All midrange deathrattle decks like rogue or hunter suffer from the same thing , they can get outtempoed easily during the early-mid game and they will lose to damage before they have a chance to recover and turn the game in their favor and win , all strong deathrattle decks have good control tools to reach the late game and good amount of heal like paladin and priest , the only chance for rogue and hunter to contest in this area is reno , reno is nice for a hunter but im not sure for a rogue , i wouldnt suggest to play this kind of deck without reno , you will probably perform great against a control deck but will have hard time against anything else

I used to run two saps it felt to clunky, then one and I never had it when needed the most and now I feel the doomsayers do a much better job than one or two saps.
FoK seems quite weak for my deck as I want to play a minion rather than do 1 dmg and draw a card. Currently I'm not facing to many warlocks where FoK might shine over Bronzebeard.
N'zoth has been benched for the time being as I rarely see the card or actually need it to win. Emperor is being tried out currently as he serves two purposes, soft taunt and removal magnet aswell as lowering the cost of the heavy end of my curve.

All decks suck if you can't play them.
not true, play reno nzoth.

Lol. I know where this thread is going
No healing and lackluster class deathrattle options.
The only problem I have with my DR rogue is that there is no way to come back in health unless it's reno based.. and that's tough to pull off

Lets go trough the list
Lack healing
Weak boardclears
Enough said

Rattle rogue have been my favorite deck this season, even though some days its a struggle..

Deathrattle rogue is not bad, but miracle is probably better if you know how to play it.

So this is a bit weird but I'm running a miracle N'zoth deck with reno, because with the 2 auctioneers I'm cycling through most of my deck anyway.
