What do you do when your class isn't able to dominate properly? To control the board consistently - without having that feeling that you need that one certain card?
You accept it and turn it into your advantage! For that purpose I am playing a lite version of Dragon Priest mashed together with some interesting cards:
1. 2x Mind Control Tech: Every Arena player knows him too well, he sometimes is the reason a seemingly safe win is turned into a loss. Gaining control of an enemy minion is a very strong ability and in this deck it will be used in the best way by utilizing cards like Brann Bronzebeard or cards like Hungry Dragon to actually make your opponent have 4 minions in order to use the ability! But remember: MCT will only steal 2 minions if your opponent has at least 5 minions on his side at the time his effect gets triggered twice because of Brann! MCT won't steal a minion when he only has 3 or less minions in ANY case!
PRO-TIP: Playing GOLDEN MCTs gives you a way higher probability of getting their best minion! (I do that and it works obviously ;) ).
2. 2x Cult Apothecary: You are running minions which give your opponents more minions like Leeroy or Hungry Dragon, so the heal you can get out of this card gets huge. Can save you the game by stalling one turn before you cast that crucial AoE against an Aggro player.
3. 1x Volcanic Drake: In this deck we run a huge chunk of AoEs and other mass removal spells. Together with the fact that there will more small minions on the board than usually, you also can destroy way more minions than usually. Playing an Excavated Evil followed up by a Volcanic Drake is a great tempo play.
4. 1x Hogger, Doom of Elwynn: This card's potential can be realized properly in this deck because of me running cards which trigger his ability like Excavated Evil and obviously Wild Pyromancer. He is a great and underrated choice in a deck that only runs very few strict late-game cards. That's also the reason I run Acolyte of Pain.
5. 1x Chillmaw: Another great way to damage many minions at once and actually pretty good in this deck as you will have dragons in your hand.
6. 2x Netherspite Historian: SO good. This card alone gives you the possibility to change your game plan depending on the opponent. Do you need more late-game cards? The Historian gives you them. Do you need good minions to play on curve like Twilight Guardian? Nothing easier than that. Absolutely awesome card.
I am looking into adding a bit more spells, because sometimes Wild Pyromancer bricks...
You actually do not want to do that, but for the lulz this is perfectly fine :D You want your opponent to have some good minions when using MCT. If that is not the case, you resort to an AoE/Chillmaw/Pyromancer.

Another Priest deck that needs Combo. When you need it the most, it is too late.
How often do you have the Hungry / MCT Combo before the Aggro decks give you lethal?
You don't usually use that combo against Zoo for example, but against Hunter you can and probably will, always depends on the matchup. Your opponent will have 4 minions more often than not in a Zoo matchup - Hungry Dragon is only used here when you can follow up an Excavated Evil or another mass removal next turn. Your AoE, Pyromancer and Cult Apothecary are more important here.

Too bad you can't Brann + Leeroy + MCT on the same turn... XD

I know, no need to be afraid.
