This is a personal list of my favorite Legendaries, in no particular order. Many of these cards have served interesting purposes, with many being held close to heart out of respect.
Yogg-Saron, Hope's End - I knew from day one that Yogg was going to be really great, likely the best card in all of the Old Gods, right next to Weasel Tunneler (don't mind me, I have odd tastes). Yogg turned out to be such a success, they nerfed our dear friend. Yogg is such a dear friend, he even listens to his fans. Not even kidding, in my preorder bundle, I pulled a Golden Yogg-Saron in my first pack. When they nerfed Yogg, I was able to disenchant for 3200. Disenchanted Goldie Locks over here, made a normal version and another Legendary. The Gods are Great when you have Faith!
Varian Wrynn - While most people were dissatisfied with VW (no, not the car company), I reveled in such a powerhouse of promise. I wasn't scared of pulling Dr. Boom and losing the Boom Bots because I understood the value of big bodies. Ran VW with Icehowl, double Kor'kron Elite, Grommash Hellscream, Leeroy Jenkins, and a number of others. It was a ridiculous powerhouse that people didn't expect for a while. The deck got me to Rank 14, the farthest I have ever been, complete homebrew. For getting as far as I had with my own deck, I have VW to thank. I don't go very far on ladder, but that's because I want my own success, success that I can cite as my own. Even if I don't rank very much, I have a good time, and that's what it's all about, right?
Iron Juggernaut - What a nightmare, right? After Brann hit store shelves, this card hit a whole new level of extreme. To really terrorize your opponent by putting this in a Fatigue Warrior of all things, you can really spice up the dynamic of the match. A race against time, your opponent never knowing when the bomb is about to go off. It's like an action film, and you're the villain. Explosions fuckin' EVERYwhere. It's like the 4th of July. Beautiful.
Kel'Thuzad - The shenanigans you can pull with Kel in a Shaman deck are S-Grade in nature and quality. What does your opponent do against 4 Kel'Thuzad? Quite the question. This guy's a demon, whether he wants to believe it or not.
Archbishop Benedictus - In the recent Tavern Brawl where Gnomeferatu reigned supreme, eating decks that started out small, Archie here gives you a copy of their deck, choc full of chances at turning Gnomeferatu on the Warlock, possibly burning their only copy of Gnomeferatu. Wouldn't that be stellar? This card has such a sweeping impact on the game, not entirely for the best, of course, but on the style of play employed by each player. Almost guarantees a Dual Class Arena experience, if you think about it.
Deathstalker Rexxar - What do you get when you combine a Bearshark with a Young Dragonhawk? You get a Griffin... Manticore... thing...! YEAH! This card is insane on so many levels. Swing turn clears, creating likely revolutionary turns with each sick creation, this card is not to be taken lightly. You might not always get the best result, however, the minion you're getting is usually quite good, even if you're paying 2 mana just to view options that might not work the best at all times. My advice? When creating a Zombeast, if your first selection isn't very good, pick the lowest cost minion you can with your second pick so you can at least play your Zombeast sooner than later, especially if the options weren't very good. You want the body on board as soon as possible, so with your second pick costing less, you can get it in play sooner than later.
Brann Bronzebeard - How can I put this... remember when thinking about Antique Healbot excited you? You know exactly what I'm talking about. This card, jeez, so much fun and excitement came out of this card, and still sees quite a lot of play (in Wild, of course). Mill became much more obnoxious, which is great for Mill because all playstyles deserve support, even if you hate them. Brann is such a flexible card, fitting into nearly every kind of deck you can think of. Why wouldn't you like this card?
Jungle Giants - The Ancient One becomes much easier to summon with this card. (No, Reckful, you are not the first person to ever use Earthen Scales on The Ancient One. Stop hyping it up like you struck revolutionary gold.) C'Thun decks become such a ridiculous experience at times when playing this Quest. It's such a linear experience when you really examine the Quest, however, most of the other Quests were like that, too. Since the recent patch, the Quest has received a pretty gnarly indirect nerf. I still love playing the Quest, as you can even find justification in playing Magma Rager in another deck. Wowie!
Hallazeal the Ascended - This card gave Shaman exactly what it needed. Some of the best board clears are in the Shaman class. The availability, the variety of options, this card will do you a lot of good when faced down with a board of enemies and a handy spell.
Reno Jackson - This card opened the floodgates for the variety of decks that poured out onto the field. The variety of play expanded, and gave classes that needed something to deal with Aggro just the right tool. I like being able to play many different kinds of cards. Being someone who enjoys making decks, this gave me more room in my deck to play a wide range of cards that aren't expected. I like off-meta picks a lot because I don't like the idea of my opponent knowing every card in my deck, let alone any. Reno Jackson is just the coolest, as much as I dislike chewing through a second life myself.
Tell me about your favorites, top 10, 5, whatever. Would love to hear from others.
The Lich King : Great figure from the lore that is a good card without being OP, ie a perfect card for a balanced game. Loves the Dk cards, especially Frostmourne.
Medivh the Guardian : I like the animation of his entry, and Atiesh is a big value generator. I just want to include him in all my spell heavy decks, even though he's not always competitive.
Reno Jackson : Made highlander decks a thing in HS. And although he's no longer required in standard for Highlander Priest, nothing is better than being healed for 29 hp while your opponent insta concedes.
Kazakus : The first "create your own card" card, and what an awesome card ! He keeps non-priest Highlander decks to be fun to play despite Reno's departure from standard. I love trying to get the perfect potion for each matchup.
Shadowreaper Anduin : Some may hate the machine gun, but I love it. I main'ed a Shadow Priest in WoW, and I always wanted to play a good version of it. Death of a thousands cut at its finest.
Fandral Staghelm : Not only is he a must have in any non aggressive Druid deck, but I love playing a deck full of choose one cards just to use them at their full potential with him.
Yogg-Saron, Hope's End : Quite possibly the maddest card of the game, and boy is he fun. Sometimes it just die without doing anything, some times he kills you, sometimes he kills your opponent by himself while you're on the verge of victory. Just love unpredictability.
Rend Blackhand : Your opponent planned everything. He froze your board, played a counterspell and a spellbender to protect his Antonidas, ready to kill you next turn. Suddenly, this big guy comes in and kill his Antonidas, and there's nothing he can do about it. His entry is just awesome, on top of it.
C'Thun. Growing this big eye to disproportionnate size while his cultists benefits from him like a Lovecraftian horrific cult is always a great gameplan.
I could rattle off my Top 5 readily enough, but had to double-check the list to find 6-10:
#1Chillmaw - My all-time favorite Legendary, despite not having a copy of her :( Badass image, even more-badass golden image, Taunt, Dragon, a "secret" Deathrattle before it was cool (Fatespinner), and can blow the board up. The only downside that I see is the potential to blow your own board to bits, if you're not careful.
#2-5:
Frost Lich Jaina: My favorite DK, for my favorite class, with synergy for one of my favorite tribes, focused on the late-game and refusing to die quietly.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3

Grommash Hellscream. The greatest finisher in the game (piss off, Leeroy).

Weirdly enough, despite Mechs being my favorite tribe, there are no Mechs on my list.
