Description
Hi, I want to share my experience of taking Legend. If you like to play around the AOE with a lot of Deathrattles you will like this version of Jade Rogue. I think that Rogue is the strongest Jade class of three in Un'Goro.
Explanation
This deck is good against the decks that are fighting for the board. The main idea of the deck is that you can destroy the enemy's minion and create your minion in one turn.
The deck is based on three key cards:
- Jade Shuriken at the beginning of the game can destroy the enemy minion and create your minion. In the middle of the game, you can use it to create a large Jade.
- The deck is built around Mimic Pod. You want to get almost any card of the deck in two copies. It will be very good if you get the following cards from it: Journey Below, Swashburglar, Jade Shuriken, Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit, Vilespine Slayer, Aya Blackpaw and N'Zoth, the Corruptor xD. It's also good to get in two copies any cards that are cheaper on mana to keep up with the pace of the game.
- Shadowcaster. It is very important not to lose the pace of the game. Shadowcaster, unlike the Shadowstep, does not return your minion to the hand, but creates a 1-1 copy of it. For a Rogue, this is very good, because you are creating another card to activate a Combo cards. These cards you want to copy: Mistress of Mixtures, Swashburglar, Bloodmage Thalnos, Kobold Geomancer, Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit, Vilespine Slayer, Aya Blackpaw and N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
Match-ups (season June 2017)
- Paladin. This deck easily destroys any version of the Paladin. WR - 83%
- Priest. This deck easily destroys all types of priests, except Purify Priest. Against Purify Priest, try to pump your Jade as quickly as possible to control the table. Or you can find your Vilespine Slayer and kill with it any enemy minion. Do not forget play arround Potion of Madness.
- Shaman. This deck plays well against any type of shaman. Against the Token Shaman, try to increase your board before the combination of Doppelgangster + Evolve. Do not forget to play from Devolve - do not play too many minions with Deathrattle.
- Hunter. This deck plays well against Hunters.
- Druid. This deck plays well against Jade Druid and Ramp Druid. Very well if you could copy the Aya Blackpaw or find it with a Journey Below. Against Aggro Druid, this deck plays poorly. The combination of Bloodmage Thalnos + Fan of Knives or Kobold Geomancer + Fan of Knives slightly improves the situation.
- Warrior. This deck plays well against the Taunt Warrior. Against Pirate Warrior this deck plays badly. 30 xp is quite small =(
- Mage. This deck plays not bad against the Secret Mage. It's easy to check the secrets with cheap spells and minions. Against Control Mage and Freeze Mage this deck plays very bad. Try to break through the Ice Block before the opponent finds Alexstrasza.
- Rogue. This deck plays not bad against the Miracle Rogue. Against Quest Rogue this deck plays very bad.

Acknowledgements + Replacements
Thank you guys for supporting this deck! Your comments with replacements are very interesting. You convinced me that against Pirate Warrior and Aggro Druid it is necessary to add Taunts in the deck. Your replacement Southsea Deckhand by Spiritsinger Umbra is very good. I also like to play Shaku, the Collector against control decks.
I think when you make replacements in the deck it becomes more fun to play!

Now you can watch an alternative video of this deck! Many thanks to Kadakk for his work.
great deck! One Question though, is Patches still relevant in the deck since it has lost Charge? Or is it irrelevant?
This deck looks very promising! My only opinion is that N'zoth The Corruptor is unnecessary. because i personally mean this is a tempo deck.
If you wouldn't mind to take a look at it, here is a version of Jade Rogue i made myself:
Would love some feedback!
Keep up the good work :)
Your deck looks great!
But my deck was relevant until the release of Knights of The Frozen Throne. These cards are good for N'Zoth, the Corruptor: Journey Below , Mistress of Mixtures , Jade Swarmer, Aya Blackpaw and Shadowcaster. N'Zoth, the Corruptor was the basis of my deck.
Now Valeera the Hollow looks very good for Jade Lotus deck.
If you want more tempo in your deck, I advise you to add Swashburglar and Patches the Pirate . However, I think that tempo rogue with such cards as Prince Keleseth, Edwin VanCleef, SI:7 Agent, Southsea Captain, Leeroy Jenkins and Cold Blood is much stronger in current meta. Several players with this deck reached rank #1 in legend.
Always fun to switch it up a bit! Thanks for the feedback :) Keep it up!
I don't have the pirate package so I replaced them with Cult Masters. Pretty good at keeping my hand full.
Against slow decks that go through most of their cards, I like to play Valeera the Hollow. Some cards are a bit too heavy to combo with the DK though, so I'd swap a Shadowcaster, and also the "random Kobold for a Shadowstep. My two cents but seems good! Also maybe -1 Mimic Pod +1 SI: 7?
Valeera the Hollow is really well suited for the archetype of this deck. This version of the deck was relevant in the past patch. I can only advise you to remove Journey Below because many decks play Skulking Geist
Yes, this deck was relevant until the release of Knights of The Frozen Throne. I just updated the outdated links, and apparently now shows that the deck belongs to a new patch, although this is not the case. sorry
Removed the Kobold Geomancer and added a Sprint
This saved me 4 matches in a row from a dead hand.
Thanks for this awesome deck.
Edit: i am currently testing Spiritsinger Umbra instead Southsea Deckhand as suggested
Edit 2: ended up with Shaku, the Collector instead Southsea Deckhand or Spiritsinger Umbra
Good luck on the ladder to everyone!
how would you change the deck in order to play on wild?
I cann't imagine how this deck will look on the wild. I don't play on the wild. All major cards are from standard sets. I would try to place the following auxiliary cards: Brann Bronzebeard, Antique Healbot, Unearthed Raptor. But they need to be tested.
I've tried adding azure drakes, raptors and belchers. I think it has some potential.
Are not too many creatures that cost 5 mana?
For wild i may suggest:
Brann Bronzebeard
Unearthed Raptor x2
Gang Up x2 to apply it on Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit or Aya Blackpaw
Brann+raptor on swarmer will make your day
Loving this deck, Never really played Rogue much (have the character at level 41) cause I never find sustainable decks. this is so much fun and really good. Thanks!
Cut kobold for a shiv. I mean, it is barely making your bad matchups better, why even bother when you can add a bit of cycle instead. In good matchups you need to keep the jade train rolling, kobold does nothing to help this. Finding that next jade minion or n'zoth is more important.
Thank you! Shiv helped me today :D
I'm having issues with being defeated by the opponent going full face with minions and spells (mostly spells) even when I have full board control. Are there any tips to prevent this from happening?
Firstly, these matchups are bad: freeze mage, pirate warrior, aggro (token) druid.
In such matches, you don't need to think about value. Take care of your health every turn. Usually, if you can make a trade with your creature or Dagger Mastery, choose a creature. Your jades are always enough to win. Therefore, in such matches, often try to copy Mistress of Mixtures or Swashburglar with Shadowcaster.
Today I again started playing on this deck with some changes (wr 17W/12L 58.6% rank 3->rank 2) :
- Eviscerate x1
- Kobold Geomancer
+ Shaku, the Collector
+ Spiritsinger Umbra
These cards are good both against control decks, and against aggressive ones. (I'm trying to find a middle ground :D) The combo Spiritsinger Umbra + Mistress of Mixtures is very strong against the mages and aggro decks. Shaku, the Collector often gives taunts against wariors. It always attacks the first. It can't be killed immediately with a weapon or spell, thereby helping to gain a foothold on the board.
But if you meet the same opponents, for example a pirate wariors, it is better to put Tar Creeper or Defender of Argus in the deck. Or it is better to choose a deck that plays well with them such as control mage and after return to the jade rogue when meta at your rank is good for it.
Not as strong as other decks but certainly fun to play worth the craft. (I crafted [card]N'Zoth, the Corruptor[/card] for this). I'm taking a risk that KOTFT will have a good set of deathrattle minions. *fingers cross
