Description
Hi, I want to share my experience of taking Legend. If you like to play around the AOE with a lot of Deathrattles you will like this version of Jade Rogue. I think that Rogue is the strongest Jade class of three in Un'Goro.
Explanation
This deck is good against the decks that are fighting for the board. The main idea of the deck is that you can destroy the enemy's minion and create your minion in one turn.
The deck is based on three key cards:
- Jade Shuriken at the beginning of the game can destroy the enemy minion and create your minion. In the middle of the game, you can use it to create a large Jade.
- The deck is built around Mimic Pod. You want to get almost any card of the deck in two copies. It will be very good if you get the following cards from it: Journey Below, Swashburglar, Jade Shuriken, Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit, Vilespine Slayer, Aya Blackpaw and N'Zoth, the Corruptor xD. It's also good to get in two copies any cards that are cheaper on mana to keep up with the pace of the game.
- Shadowcaster. It is very important not to lose the pace of the game. Shadowcaster, unlike the Shadowstep, does not return your minion to the hand, but creates a 1-1 copy of it. For a Rogue, this is very good, because you are creating another card to activate a Combo cards. These cards you want to copy: Mistress of Mixtures, Swashburglar, Bloodmage Thalnos, Kobold Geomancer, Jade Swarmer, Jade Spirit, Vilespine Slayer, Aya Blackpaw and N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
Match-ups (season June 2017)
- Paladin. This deck easily destroys any version of the Paladin. WR - 83%
- Priest. This deck easily destroys all types of priests, except Purify Priest. Against Purify Priest, try to pump your Jade as quickly as possible to control the table. Or you can find your Vilespine Slayer and kill with it any enemy minion. Do not forget play arround Potion of Madness.
- Shaman. This deck plays well against any type of shaman. Against the Token Shaman, try to increase your board before the combination of Doppelgangster + Evolve. Do not forget to play from Devolve - do not play too many minions with Deathrattle.
- Hunter. This deck plays well against Hunters.
- Druid. This deck plays well against Jade Druid and Ramp Druid. Very well if you could copy the Aya Blackpaw or find it with a Journey Below. Against Aggro Druid, this deck plays poorly. The combination of Bloodmage Thalnos + Fan of Knives or Kobold Geomancer + Fan of Knives slightly improves the situation.
- Warrior. This deck plays well against the Taunt Warrior. Against Pirate Warrior this deck plays badly. 30 xp is quite small =(
- Mage. This deck plays not bad against the Secret Mage. It's easy to check the secrets with cheap spells and minions. Against Control Mage and Freeze Mage this deck plays very bad. Try to break through the Ice Block before the opponent finds Alexstrasza.
- Rogue. This deck plays not bad against the Miracle Rogue. Against Quest Rogue this deck plays very bad.

Acknowledgements + Replacements
Thank you guys for supporting this deck! Your comments with replacements are very interesting. You convinced me that against Pirate Warrior and Aggro Druid it is necessary to add Taunts in the deck. Your replacement Southsea Deckhand by Spiritsinger Umbra is very good. I also like to play Shaku, the Collector against control decks.
I think when you make replacements in the deck it becomes more fun to play!
Update! Deck Showcase Video #1 (June 2017)
Now you can watch the video with this deck! Many thanks to KiwiiNbacon for the work done!
Update! Deck Showcase Video #2 (June 2017)
Now you can watch an alternative video of this deck! Many thanks to Kadakk for his work.
For added Shenanigans, I added The Vorrax solely for the Jade Shuriken interactions
Very similar to my wild version of Jade Rogue.
...which was posted 3 days after Vitachizl's deck
And is also a Wild deck, not Standard. Try again.
Hey guys! After some time I decided to try something "non - meta " and I have to say this deck is pretty awesome!
Check out this gameplay video and hopefully you will have fun :)

Damn, and I thought I was the only one still playing Jade Rogue, although my list is very different. Props on reaching Legend with it.
What's your list look like?
As someone who has experimented with Jade Rogue himself I gotta say that Shadowstep would improve the deck by a lot, especially since you don't run a lot of card draw, which means that sometimes you'll need to ramp jades fast, especially against decks that like to flood the board.
It also helps against cocntrol decks that might be able to eal with N'Zoth, the Corruptor and has greatsynergy with Vilespine Slayer
I also don't see the point of Southsea Deckhand and while I'm personally a big fan of Journey Below I don't think there are enough good deathrattles in the meta right now to justify running two of it. As people said, Spiritsinger Umbra looks pretty good in this deck when you consider all the small deathrattles.
Props for Mistress of Mixtures and Kobold Geomancer tho, very underrated cards in Rogue right now.
I agree with you, but the Journey Below is very good. All classes that have good Taunts use 2 copies of the Stonehill Defender. These discovers from Journey Below often helped me win the game: Aya Blackpaw (this is a class card for Rogue), Jade Swarmer, Undercity Huckster, Infested Tauren, Deathwing, Dragonlord (against Jade Druid xD) and Cairne Bloodhoof.
Also the Xaril, Poisoned Mind is very good. I do not like it so it was originally in the deck, because it's 4 mana 3-2 which is very weak, but in a long game it can give Bloodthistle Toxin, which is very good for this deck.
360 games to legend? no thx. smORC
What I would really, REALLY suggest is changing the Southsea Deckhand with Spiritsinger Umbra.
I mean, token decks only run 2 pirates and patches, I don't think this deck needs more.
In the other hand, just combining Umbra with 2 Mistress can be so life-saver against lot of matchups, and the synergy with Shadowcaster is awesome.
Just my two cents, really good deck and congrats for legend!
nice jade rogue deck, love it
this my game vs Aggro Murloc shaman and Mage which very good in this meta :) enjoy

Hey buddy,
I was looking for a Rogue deck that could fulfill the last three wins that I needed for my golden Rogue hero. Chose this one and bam 3-0, thank you sir :P
Also made a short gameplay recording, obviously early in the season, so met a bunch of random decks: VOD Jade Golem Rogue
Interesting deck but suffers against any form of aggro (druid and pirate warrior) and against quest rogue... that's a large chunk of the meta right now.
It seems you added quite a few anti-aggro tools but doesn't work that well. Perhaps an Abomination or a Tar Creeper?
You are absolutely right. I am thinking about replacing Kobold Geomancer and Fan of Knivesx1 with your cards. Have you tried them? I am also thinking about Sunfury Protector or Defender of Argus to give Taunt for Jades.
Deck is total shit 0-7, Op against paladins? WHAT???WHAT???? Cmon dust on the wind, dont waste resources on dat garbage.
I know it seem essential... but is shadowcaster replaceable? Shadowstep? I dont wanna have to craft it because I'm saving dust for next expansion.
I think that without Shadowcaster you need cards to draw jades out of the deck faster. You can try Cult Master, Sprint, or Thistle Tea.
I didn't have Shadowcaster before trying this deck out and I replaced it with Shadowstep as well which worked out really well. It's the same idea as Shadowcaster just without the cost and the 4/4 body. It's definitely worth using until you can get some Shadowcasters in your deck.
60% WR from 20 to 13 in first day of season.
Good deck man!
