Check out the standard version of this deck now @RDS - Reno Deathrattle Shaman (Standard version!)

Extremely sticky deck that takes advantage of the deathrattle mechanics in shaman, counting on Reno Jackson and Healing Wave for staying alive.

Zombie Chow is a hard mulligan for early game. As I tried the deck, I noticed having a powerful starting minion like Totem Golem helped greatly in keeping me alive into the later stages. The MCT was introduced as a way of early countering aggressive decks, or getting a powerful enemy minion in the late game, as the only hard removal  is Big Game Hunter and Hex

Loot Hoarder, Mana Tide Totem and Jeweled Scarab are highly needed for drawing into your needed cards for survival or board clean. They are also good for trading with the help of a Flametongue Totem or rockbitter weapon. Nerubian Egg is always getting value. For mid-game, you rely on taunts like Sludge Belcher or Defender of Argus (nice when combined with MCT).

Victory conditions are Bloodlust and Kel'Thuzad. Reincarnate and Ancestral Spirit are to be paired with any deathrattle minion, particulary Sneed's Old Shredder and Sylvanas Windrunner, while they can also work quite nicely with a Sludge Belcher.

Elemental Destruction and Lightning Storm are there to recover the board if ever you lose it. The fist can be used with a well-placed Ancestral Spirit with Baron Rivendare on board, for popping up two Thaddius or stealing two enemy minions with Sylvanas, and having her back whole-life.

All in all an extremely funny deck, quite competitive also up to rank 5. Unfortunately, not a legendary deck - at least for the moment -.

Edit: Replaced Loot Hoarder by Thalnos mainly to make better use of Lightning Storm vs Patron warrior.

 Mulligan hints

Control warrior

Against Control Warrior, check for your drawing cards. You wanna totem as much as possible, given the CW has a tough time for dealing with your totems. Totem Golem, Rockbitter weapon and Piloted Shredder are the top priorities. You can also keep in hand a Zombie Chow to force him to use a weapon or start taking down his armor.

Face Hunter

This is a tough matchup. Mulligan for Zombie Chow, Earth Shock, Jeweled Scarabkeep Reno Jackson and Healing Wave in hand, only one of those. You need to draw quickly into your lategame and hold the unavoidable onward long enough.

Priest

Does not matter too much, go for your drawing cards Loot Hoarder, Jeweled Scarab. Mana Tide Totem is amazing if he cannot deal with it. You can also hold in hand Rockbiter Weapon to quickly dispose of that Northshire and keep card advantage. Your late game is normally too powerful for him to use all the removals. Beware Lightbomb and keep in mind Bloodlust is your only likely finisher.

Rogue

That's a difficult matchup, as he can OTK you in the mid-to-late game. Mulligan for Zombie Chow, Totem Golem and drawing cards. Try to keep his side of the board clear of minions.

Zoolock

Mulligan for Totem Golem, Zombie Chow, Rockbiter Weapon. Keep Lightning Storm if you happen to draw it. You can also keep the Earth Shock if you have one of the two minions above.

Face shaman

Keep Reno Jackson or Healing Wave in your hand always (one of the two). Rockbiter Weapon can deal with that damned trogg. Drawing cards are also nice to cycle to your healing/board clear spells.

Secret Paladin

Zombie Chow, Totem Golem and Lightning Storm are essential. You can also keep Earth Shock and drawing cards in your opening hand. Reno is not so useful in this matchup as your priority is controlling the board.
