If Crackling Razormaw was used on Fiery Bat, and its adaptation was poison spit. Would the random one damage ping from fiery bat count as poisonous as well? Just wondering
Can we have a moment of silence for Bloodfen Raptor? This is a direct power creep on it... (tiniest violin)
Of course mages can't, but that doesn't matter, it's still a directly better card, it's different because it's assigned a class, but no Hunter will ever pick Bloodfen over this bad boy because it's directly better.
There was also the Huge Toad, which was a neutral powercreep, as it was exactly the same as the Bloodfen Raptor but with the deathrattle.
Also, It surprises me how in every Hunter card I've seen in the new expansion I've seen Aravash trying to take counterpart to at least one comment.
PD: Nothing against you Aravash, just actually surprised jaja
This card is kinda broken imo. Compare it to Verdant Longneck:
1- This can be played on turn 2.
2- Has vanilla stats, while the Druid card has -1/-1.
3- Can use the Adapt effects in the very same turn it is played.
I know it's not a totally valid comparision, because Longneck is pretty bad, but, come on, something that can be an Argent Protector, Abusive Sergeant, Kabal Talonpriest, Windspeaker or Shattered Sun Cleric on choice AND with vanilla stats is too much...
The point is that Longneck adapts itself and this one needs another card to be useful. If it had less than vanilla stats it would probably be too bad, as you can't know if you get what you need from it. The card adapting murlocs also has vanilla stats.
Yeah, but even then buffs tend to be considered stronger than raw stats on minions. Shattered Sun Cleric is better than a vanilla 4/3 and Blessing of Kings (which is essentially a 0/0 with Battlecry: give a minion +4/+4) is better than Chillwind Yeti, even though the latter has 1 extra HP. Those cards don't have the Beast requirement, but I think the point can still be applied.
However, for certain effects, I'll admit that self-adapting might be better (Divine Shield, for instance, as Shielded Minibot is better than Argent Protector)
I see lots of salt when the opponent adapts big minion with lightning speed.
I wish the artists worked together to make sure that we didn't have 4 red tyrannosaur cards
I think it makes sense, because it seems that the Hunter cards are focused on the Marsh of Un'Goro. So, maybe dinosaurs from there are all red?
But they did work together to make sure that we had 4 red tyrannosaur cards.
Scenario 1: You Adapt a token (Rat, Tabbycat, Hound, Spider etc.). Adaptations such as Poison Spit, Living Spores, Flaming Claws, and Crackling Shield all let you regain OR stay ahead on board control.
Scenario 2: You Adapt a Deathrattle minion (Kindly Grandmother, Rat Pack, Infested Wolf etc.) then adaptations such as Volcanic Might, Crackling Shield, Rocky Carapace, or Liquid Membrane make it difficult for your opponent to easily kill them which, combined with their Deathrattles, ensure you have a board for the following turns.
Scenario 3: You Adapt a tempo minion (Dispatch Kodo, Stampeding Kodo) then adaptations such as Crackling Shield, Rocky Carapace, or Massive allow them to keep you in control of the board even more than their Battlecry already helps you do.
Scenario 4: You Adapt a late-game value minion (Savannah Highmane, Swamp King Dred) and adaptations such as Liquid Membrane, Shrouding Mist, or Lightning Speed all but guarantee your strongest threats get to attack twice and close out the game.
tl;dr, this goddamn 2-drop can be used with any Beast in any situation that a Hunter may find themselves in for great value. Amazingly good card in literally any Hunter deck.
the stealth might not be as good, since the stealth is removed once dred deals damage to a minion. (ex. a stealthed ragnaros becomes unstealthed at the end of your turn)
I agree with your point, but I can see some strong combinations with some other beasts, like the new Volcanosaur, with which you can get an equivalent to Soggoth the Slitherer but with the Beast tag. It could also be used with Starving Buzzard to give it a little more defense, but I don't see it as a reaaally strong play. Maybe with Swamp King Dred you can get a 9/9 wih inmunity to spells so it doesn't die right away, I can see it happening.
I can see your point with the Volcanosour and I agree with it, but the Buzzard I believe can be pretty good on a Quest deck.
At least the Starving Buzzard I can see it being played not only with this card, but with the other cards that would be played on a deck with the quest. The Buzzard is a card that is not going to survive more than a turn, but when your deck plays a big load of 1-cost minions, you can get a lot of draw in a turn, while putting stuff on the board. This is specially good with the Carnassa's Brood, because the Brood by itself just maintains your hand how it is while putting a 3/2 on the board, but with the Buzzard every Brood you put on the same turn is expanding your hand by a card.
Volcanosaur well, is not really trash, but is not amazing either. Not really a card to play in constructed, unless you use it with cards like Houndmaster and Beast synergistic cards. It's with this card and the Razormaw that I can see it being played, putting a real threat on the board, but depending a lot on the RNG of the adapts, so yeah, I see your point with this one.
He looks like his mother just caught him looking at porn
One needs personal experience to notice that...
Rocky Carapace + Angry Chicken
This is a very nice 2 mana card for Hunter. Fit's in really well too many different beast configurations.
With Rocky Carapace, this becomes Kabal Talonpriest for hunter.
