A pretty hilarious way that Azari ended up destroying himself: His Kabal Trafficker discovered, of all things, an Unlicensed Apothecary. So once he summoned his Dreadsteed, I attacked it, it immediately came back, and took away 5 health from the boss. I just kept attacking the dreadsteed while the apothecary drained his health down to nothing!
What’s the tactic of this boss? He milled me to death...
I've had crappy luck with this final boss for Hunter and Warrior, even with stealth and double Flags, but Highlander Mage with Cloak and Scrying Orb finished him by Turn 10. He even milled The Wish and I just kept SMORCing until dead. Dreadlord played T8, was the only trade, because he would have AoE'd my small fry. Critical cards to play/draught are:
Cloak of Invisibility, highest value but can hurt you if you can't fill the board and rush down bosses. Don't even bother with board control because....
Animated Armor, without a doubt the most lifesaving card if you have Cloak. This combo is absolutely KEY.
Reno Jackson or Wish, or both for highlander. Turns out having a second Sorcerer's Apprentice and Bloodmage Thalnos always mulliganed early so the highlander requirements could easily be met.
lastly, Deck of Wonders to absorb some of Azari's mill effects
Here's the 8/8 boss win:

Try to memorize which demons will drop on which turns, especially turn 4 void caller and ones which aoe (like turn 7 enforcer). You can't worry about everything, don't play around things like bane of doom, but you should worry about Doom on turn 10, but he has only one copy. RNG is particularly punishing on this boss, because your best cards will be milled two thirds of the time... so this fight rewards high value, greedy decks which can survive some early pressure. You want your deck to be a multiple of 3 cards. So if you have 24 cards, don't draw one (but you could draw 3 if you are willing to lose a turn to fatigue). If you have 26 cards, you should try to draw 2.
Turns One thru three on a Warlock: Improved Life Tap.
Turn Four: Boots of Haste, then Golden Monkey, then a board full of Legendaries, with three more in hand. GG at turn eight on full health.
Can you Sacrificial Pact this?
Azari, the Devourer's hero power is Devour. This is his deck. One more card should probably only have one copy - perhaps Demonwrath or Bane of Doom. I thought it was Doom!, but there are two of those.
1x Mal'Ganis
2x Abyssal Enforcer
2x Bane of Doom
2x Demonwrath
2x Despicable Dreadlord
2x DOOM!
2x Doomguard
2x Dread Infernal
2x Dreadsteed
2x Fearsome Doomguard
2x Flame Imp
2x Kabal Trafficker
2x Pit Lord
2x Voidcaller
2x Voidlord
2x Wrathguard
At last!!!!! After around 15-20 tries with many classes, only reaching last boss once, decided to go with Druid after reading it was one of the easiest.
Indeed, made a C'Thun deck (with NO double battlecry!) with tempo artifacts (additional mana at start and opponent's minions costing 1 more), had some stupid misplays from the AI and got Azari at the end, which fell to my big taunts (didn't even use C'Thun).
So if you're getting frustrated try Druid C'Thun (almost got it with Rogue C'Thun too)
My hunter decks keep losing to this guy, 3 losses as a hunter and 1 loss as mage.
This was my run today. He played DOOM!, so that was game over for me. I had a Deathrattle Weapons deck. Grommash's Armguards, Totem of the Dead, and Greedy Pickaxe.
Beat this guy with a pretty good N'zoth Deathrattle Rogue deck. :)
Stomped him on a druid run with:
He burned through most of my deck, but Ysera, Aviana and taunts carried hard
Also stole a Rotface from an earlier boss which spawned a Deathwing for the kill xD
From what I saw, his ability was randomly burning my cards, not picking the 2 "best".
Barely managed to beat this bastard with double +3 Spell Damage enchantment
His hero power also says "Remove the best 2 cards out of your opponent's deck each turn." Made it to him with 4 C'thuns that all cost 5 mana and had every single one of them destroyed within the first three turns along with my treasures.
I just got this one as my final dungeon run boss. Zero-cost hero power is "Remove the top 2 cards of your opponent's deck".
