Pirate warrior? Midrange hunter (just highmane)? Secret mage? Token shaman? Token Druid? All make up a HUGE portion of the meta. Plenty of minions with 3 or 4 attack that dodge this in all of these decks ntm weapons. Strong enough to beat you down quickly, not strong enough to be targeted by the battle cry. Hero power isn't unfair enough to warrant an 8 mana mass shadow word death. And this belongs in a Kazakus raza deck, if you play two greater healing potions you're doing it wrong.
People will try this card in every priest deck. All will fail. Miserably. I've been therorycrafting decks since this card was revealed, with n'zoth, kazakus, quest, token buffing, combinations of all 4, and I've simulated games against pirate warriors, hunters, shamans, druids, etc. The only one that had a winrate that was even near positive was a token buff otk kazakus deck with a 52% average in 10 games against each. And the hero power did almost nothing. Ran every aoe, but still ran out of answers for small minions. Against control? Meh. Doesn't provide threats to win games (like hunter, paladin, rogue, warlock, or even mage) and isn't strong enough to deal with opponents threats more than once. Without some stupid radiant Lyra raza combo, which takes A LOT of time. By then you're typically dead.
The best new decks from this expansion will be otk miracle rogue with dk, midrange hunter with dk, token shaman with dk, secret mage, or a demon oriented discolock with dk for a final push. Not in any order. In a perfect world where everyone was playing midrange paladin or murloc paladin, this card would crush.
We don't live in that world sadly, cancer players love their aggro and will play it until the cards get rotated out. Live in the real world people, priest dk isn't anywhere near the power level of the other dks. Even with class synergy.
But hey what does a guy that's reached legend almost every season since beta know right?
Looks like you were completely wrong because the deck is absolutely fast enough to compete with face decks. They don't do it with some OTK combo though. It's just plain old massive early board control then they combo into a bunch of cheap spells and burn you down in a turn or two.
Lol except it isn't though, if you don't draw raza or kazakus you lose. Radiant plus Lyra needs raza sooo yah. Ntm the meta hasn't settled down yet and could be completely different in a week.
You don't need Raza to win with it. This power is exceptionally good with just Lyra or just playing the normal cheap cost spells Priest has. Doing it with Raza is just doing it in "hard mode".
In a vacuum, I'd say this is one of the weakest DKs. With the Raza the Chained, Prophet Velen and Lyra the Sunshard synergies, I'd say it has potential to be one of the strongest.
One of the better DK's so far.
Voidform
I don't really see the use of this card. Why not just use shadowform? The battlecry effect is barely ever useful.
Maybe only vs jade druid but I already win at least 80% of those matches with Dragon priest so.... Probably not going to use this legendary.
I'm a bit disappointed with Priest in this expansion as a whole tbh...
because shadowform does not kill...?
Plus the battlecry i at least 3-6 mana value...?
Idk man seems legit a bad card...don't use it...c ya in legend...u'll b rank 15 still right...?
Extremely good vs control decks.
Pretty bad vs aggro decks.
Which probably adds up to it not being very good. Aggrostone will be Aggrostone.
yeah...pretty aggro these days with control mage being the top deck...but still i get ur point it's jsut not valid tho...
That's true. But after playing HS for over 3 years and seeing 9 new set releases, I've learned that having high hopes for a control heavy meta after the new set releases is probably not going to end well.
Touche, kind sir...but we're not talking about the first weeks here but rather the (aproximately) 2nd month
Oh so when I say the exact same thing in a bit more harsh of a way I get 10 down votes and shit. But when this guy says it people like it? Waaaahh not fair world. Not fairrrr.
Lyra + Raza?
It's funny how it's not even in the game yet and people say it's shit. Maybe wait for once
The only popular 5+ attack minions I've seen Priests play are Elise the Trailblazer, Drakonid Operative, and Medivh, the Guardian, and most really only run Elise. So unless you are adding in vanilla body minions with higher attack, there is little risk of killing off your own guys.
Well yes, I should have mentioned that I was referring to the currently popular Priest decks that might want to include Shadowreaper Anduin for extra value. If we're talking Highlander decks, then yes you are correct, there would be potentially be 4 of your own minions with 5+ attack that you could kill.
But on that same note, why would you ever play Prophet Velen before Shadowreaper Anduin? Even if you had Velen in your hand on turn 7, that would be a pretty bad play.
wow, this art is sooooo nice
Okey i know witch class legendary's to craft Priest & Mage.
This card + Raza the Chained + 2xRadiant Elemental + 2xShadow Visions (1 in your head and 1 in your deck) and if you haven't 1xShadow Visions in your deck you can stack it with Lyra the Sunshard it't gonna be op.
