Ty for pointing it out!
"for the upcoming meta." And yet you have 3 cards that are going into wild... (Dart Trap and Quick Shot.) So I would try to replace those with some sort of removal, or just more one drop minions just in case you don't draw as many as you need/want them.
If Blizzard makes the second new 1-cost Hunter minion a card draw minion, this quest just got that much more viable. rn, zoo hunter will struggle vs pirates and control / taunt decks.
If you watch the video where trump reviews a bunch of cards (including this one, one of the blizzard devs sits in during the video. He indicates that hunter will be getting 2 new one drops (this was pre Raptor Hatchling announcement). So unless he was referring to Raptor Patriarch as the other, I think there is still more on the horizon.
Right! That's what I was referring to. I'm hoping the second 1-cost minion is a completely new 1-drop and not just Raptor Patriarch from Raptor Hatchling. And if it's a minion with a card draw battlecry or deathrattle, then the quest won't potentially set quest hunters up for an empty and and board.
it has been confirmed that hunter will get 2 one drop this expansion 1 is raptor hatchling and the other is yet to be revealed. so this card will be even better then you think
BliZZArd U ACT LIKE HUNTERS HAVE CARRRRRRD DRAWWWWWWW!
What am i gonna do when quick shot is gone? the literal only card draw mechanic in my midrange hunter deck
But playing 2 1-drops on turn 2 is pretty good on tempo
you can't have more than 60 card in the deck
FeelsBadMan
sadly you cannot have 150 cards put into your deck at once
This quest seems super fun. I made a deck for it, updating as new cards come out.
no..... just.... no.....
I have no idea if this card will be good (I think it will be tough to play well, but will make for some really fun games), but I love the aesthetic direction that hunter is going in with Un'Goro. Dinosaurs. Lots of them. This is what everyone wanted and Blizz is delivering on that.
do i hear a tundra rhino or is that just me
5+5 = 10
Tundra Rhino
Would be interesting to see if this enabled a control hunter archetype. Consider this possibility in Wild for a late game oriented Hunter: Elise Starseeker / Golden Monkey could replace those 15 Carnassa's Brood raptors from Queen Carnassa with random legendaries if you waited to play Carnassa until you had the monkey in hand. If you can fit in Brann Bronzebeard on the turn you play Queen Carnassa that is 30 raptors replaced with legendaries, effectively giving you an entire new deck in late game when most opponents are running out of cards. Getting there will be the key but it could be amazing.
It has to be a wild deck since Elise Starseeker will become wild with Un'Goro. The idea of a wild control hunter seems really interesting .
Yee
There are some cards I'm pretty sure should be considered for this quest, as probably an aggro deck might not work, and a more control kind of deck could work well. I'm saying this because of the new Elemental race, which introduces good one-drops like Fire Fly, which helps a lot in fulfilling the quest and preparing some cards like the Tol'vir Stoneshaper, and Glacial Shard, which can help slow down your opponent. Adding a Mistress of Mixtures could also be a good idea, and it could be combined with some secrets for controlling the board, and so you could add the Secretkeeper.
The main issue in understanding the card is that it can't really fit on an aggro deck, 'cause Hunter doesn't have that much card draw and you would run out steam pretty fast. But on a midrange-control deck you could play with the Elemental synergy for completing the quest a little early while defending yourself, and using some Beast synergy and big drops at the later stages of the game because of the raptors you get from the Queen, which with Starving Buzzard can get to be a big card-draw mechanic with not that much loss of tempo, just to get to draw any other card you need.
PD: Another card that I forgot to mention is Arcane Anomaly, which is going to be changed to be an Elemental, which synergizes with the previously mentioned cards, and with the secrets that could be played :)
Honestly, I don't think this card will be viable. The card sucks if u try to build a very aggro deck. Suppose u have 15 cards left in your deck when u complete the quest. Then u get one raptor every turn on average, then you'll draw your one drop. Ta da u have 2 one drops on the board now. Suppose u could chain 2 raptors coz you're lucky, well that's 3 one drops. The problem is the raptors doesn't actually help u draw YOUR deck, it's only putting raptors in between your cards. I think the only way to make the card work is to make a combo deck with tundra rhino and buzzard to draw. Then u could go for an otk or something which could be very strong but this'll require u to build a control deck, putting only few good one drops like mixtress. Then u try to draw your one drops to complete the quest in late game and combo your opponent to death. But control hunter? Yeah... This card just doesn't go well with any kind of hunter deck and it's such a waste for such a cool card.
