Coghammer
Card Text
Battlecry: Give a random friendly minion Divine Shield and Taunt.

So you ripped this out of a machine, carved some runes on it, stuck it on a handle, and now it's a weapon of great divine power? Seems legit.

I really wish they decided to name this card "Finkle's Lava Dredger" since it not only looks like that hammer but it was a 2 handed mace designed for paladins, shaman and druids.
Faerie dragon + this. No silence creature is an Ouchie :D .
Amazing card! Blizzard finally gives something really usefull for Paladins. Maybe i should start a Pala deck. I really like the class.
not even close
If you're looking to use this for early game tempo or anti-aggro, Ancient Watcher seems like the card everyone should be drooling over. It's an amazing target!
"So what if my Sunwalker can't attack? I got it on turn 3, and I'm crushing your minions with my Stormforged Axe!"
Sounds like a really solid control plan to me.
Agreed, a card to make Paladins more annoying :P
Does seem to confilict with Truesilver though, which is still the better weapon.
Most annoying card ever. I loved it.
Too bad it doesn't give minions Taunt and a Deathrattle: summon a 1/2 minion with taunt =)
This card definitely helps midrange paladin become a lot more viable of a deck type. Wonder if it would be worth replacing a truesilver with this. I don't think I'd ever run 3 weapons in a deck outside of warrior, and this has low attack value making it hard to justify the swap.
Hm, I'm kind of on the fence about this one, because 1) it doesn't kill many relevant creatures in a timely manner since it comes online at three mana instead of two, 2) it conflicts with playing a Truesilver Champion on turn 4, and 3) because it's a little coin-flippy as to whether or not you can extract full value out of it using a faster deck.
Still, this card seems like the type of card that could have a ton of potential as the meta keeps evolving and more and more cards are released. I don't think you can really count this one out in the long run.
It is aimed at removing more difficult creatures together with the recruit, also fits pretty good with the coin if you have a 1/1 with shield ( the name escapes me). It's also really good after Ancient watcher and on a solo strong creature on the board it can be awesome. Later Synergy because of the shield and taunt. Shield = 1 mana. Taunt = 1 point ( referring to the way Blizz calculates the cards ) so a 2/3 weapon for 1 mana and 1 point is really great :) .
The only downside is if you already have a taunt on the board (unless you fear black knight). A 1/1 recruit getting divide shield isn't a waste either. It takes 2 attacks to get past it, and can easily save you 5 or more damage to the face.
I like it. I think it should be 2 mana, though, even if it has to go to a 2/2.
so its supposed to be a firey war axe + free buffs? dumb comment
Whoa. This card is quite real. Turn 7, play a Chillwind Yeti and turn it into a Sunwalker... and you also get a Stormforged Axe.
We can do better than that. What about Spectral Knights?
Yes, YES HOLY CRAP YES. Going straight into my control deck.
Here's my version of the anticipated Control Pally deck for the expansion!
Tell me what you think of it and what changes you would make.
I would play either an Acolyte of Pain or a second Wild Pyromancer in place of the Mind Control Tech, but otherwise this is a solid list. I even like the potential Tirion/Redemption shenanigans.
Made the change to Acolyte as suggested.
Anyway, looking at the deck, I realized that Tirion is my only late game win condition so far (other than the Coghammer-buffed Spectral Knights), so maybe I could make room for one more legendary/finisher?
I want to add Ysera, but I don't know which card to take out in response. Any ideas?
