Dragon Deck Spotlights!
We've been playing around with dragons lately thanks to The Grand Tournament, so it's time for some more spotlights on these awesome creatures. Below you will find three dragon decks which we think are plenty of fun and hope you too will come to the same conclusions.
Would you like to see more themed multi-deck spotlights? Let us know in the comments!
Deck Spotlight: Sigma's Dragon Priest
Another Dragon Priest! Tonight's Priest Dragon deck comes from Sigmasrb who had been piloting priest decks since the beginning of time. This deck is much like the Dragon Priest deck we showed off last night from Brian Kibler, but has a few important changes.
- Vol'jin - Synergizes with Holy Smite for 6 mana removal of anything annoying on the board.
- Chromaggus - Quite a great dragon, can be played on turn 9 for instant value alongside Power Word: Shield.
- Mass Dispel - Lots of decks run minion buffs and pulling this card out can turn a game around really quick. Everyone, get out of here!
The deck costs 6580 dust to craft. You can learn more in the deck guide which includes info on mulligans, general strategy, and some potential card replacements. If you're ready to take it for a ride right now, you can find the deck contents below.

Deck Spotlight: Seraph's Dragon Shaman
Tonight's Shaman Dragon deck comes from Seraph, someone you may remember from the past with their excellent Dragodin Ramp deck. We're now going to look at some of the great cards in this deck.
- Charged Hammer - An excellent tool for control of the board against aggro decks and for cleaning up anything left behind from board clears.
- Elemental Destruction - No real early game minions in this deck so this card is an effective method of clearing out early boards. Combine this card with Lava Shock on turn 5 and there isn't any setback to using it.
- Volcanic Drake - A perfect dragon activator as it sits in your hand and an excellent tempo play following board clear.
The deck is a bit steep on the crafting cost coming in at 8940 dust, but is well worth it. If you're ready to soar, you can find the deck list below.
Learn more about this deck over on the deck guide which includes info on some matchups you will experience, important principles, key plays, and further breakdown of important cards.

Deck Spotlight: xBAcex's Dragon Control Warrior
Tonight's Control Warrior Dragon deck comes from xBAcex. It is a deck which allows you to sustain damage from aggro decks and then smash your opponent's face in the late game. Let's look at some of the great pieces of Dragon control warrior!
- Alexstrasza's Champion - Useful for clearing out weak minions in the early game without dying and without taking damage to your face. Extra value if you have some of those great dragons sitting in your hand.
- Justicar Trueheart - Become an immovable object. A solid play in the mid game to help give you survivability and to make Shield Slam more effective, and not a bad idea on turn 10 since playing it after using your Hero Power will allow you to hit your Hero Power again.
- Varian Wrynn - Jaw dropping. You do need to be careful with this one though and remember what remains in your deck. You may want to hold off on playing it if you haven't see your Alexstrasza or Justicar.
It seems the deck costs get steeper as our post goes on as this deck comes in at a wallet-breaking 13940 dust. You can check out the card list below and for more information on how the cards work together, the strategy behind the deck, and your mulligans, head on over to the deck guide.

I like that they followed through with a card archetype so strongly.
Dragon decks is kinda boring for me...
I tried some of these, didn't do very good with them

I don't like dragon decks.
dragons to the right, dragons to the left!
Should've crafted the Epic Dragons first before I crafted Ysera, I want to try some of these decks out but I still lack 800 dust -,- thinking of just dusting my Confessor Paletress or Trade Prince Gallywix
Why does the Shaman deck description highlight Charged Hammer, only to leave it off the actual deck list?
Because it was recently replaced, still an option though.
Dragons are everywhere
I like the multi deck spotlight very much! Looking forward to trying some of these. Sadly, no warrior cards here.
idk so
Cool, dragons are fun.
And a Dragon Rogue deck? Oh wait!
Wish that I could something like this, the lack of legendaries is strong, or any other cards
Dragon Shaman is veeeery underwhelming right now.
Might switch to dragon control warrior soon. So far that's the one deck that beats my control warrior lol.
Dragon Shaman is really underrated.
Thanks for the mention amigo!
=)
