Reynad is pretty good at looking like a pretentious dick at the beginning, gave me a good laugh. My only issue is that kickstarting projects are a red flag for me I'm probably gonna stay away from this one for a bit. Thanks for bringing this up though as I had no clue he was starting something like this.
Edit: looking at the indiegogo project, feels a bit fishy in how he's asking for 150k, but then in the indiegogo goals area it mentions how 200k is the actual amount they need. Oh well.
75 thousands $ for developing frontend with local backend and 75 thousands $ for network backend part? Actually this is a 3 month of programming work for 2 persons, maybe plus one DevOps guy for infrastructure and SDLC process making and single manager for coordinating.
That is 50.000 at max. Other 100k will go for clubs and parties for Reynad and friends? Okaay. I always knew that half of Kickstarter and Indigo projects are scum.
so as far as I understand he's making basically Runescape : Chronicles, which I think he might have been sponsored to play at one point... at the very least he was offered that chance. coupled that with the awful humor in this video and already jumping to topics like balance and p2w this early, I'm already troubled. well, good luck on your dreams, good sir.

Depending on how expensive this is gonna be for free 2 play players, it might be better than hearthstone, the most expensive ccg around the globe. I won‘t donate but I‘ll give it a try

If you consider physical card games, (which are tcg, but is almost the exact same as ccg), hearthstone has a bit of catching up to do compared to Yugioh, Pokemon (I think) and Magic. Hearthstone is definitely a pricy game though if you want all the top tier decks.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.

Every card game is extremely expensive if the want "all the top tier decks" because you're not supposed to be able to just get every single tier 1 deck for free easily. This is a concept that escapes your average brainlet mobile game player.

So because it's not supposed to be free or easy to get, it should be extremely expensive instead? Where is your logic coming from...? I think you are incapable of properly describing something, or it has "escaped your average brainlet".

The thing is that you get good cards in lets say 2-3 months when the next expansion already hits. Like you always lack behind if you highly grind your way through. That is also why I am seeing hearthstone as expensive (and why saying that „you shouldn‘t get every card easily“ isn‘t really a valid argument). No matter how much effort you use, you will always lack behind and thus won‘t have much fun as everyone from rank 20 to legend has pretty much all the good cards already. The only thing that could actually change this is if legendary minions would be packs only (not craftable). Maybe even the epic ones but Blizzard definitely has to change stuff here
Yesterday, Reynad announced the start of the crowdfunding phase for his new card game "The Bazaar". Looks promising so far.

looks like epic thrash, whic can be done in 2-3 persons and freelance artists for 5k bucks total maximum
"piniata take 1" sums up my thoughts pretty accurately tbh.

Sounds a lot like the deck-building strategy and play style of Dominion

Wait, who wants to build a different deck for every game you play?
I wish him the best, but if he wants to release 200 cards every month... well there will be more problems for Noodle incoming than he can imagine.
I can already see the best card in his game:
Dr. Noodle:
Battelcry: Summon two 1/1 Salty foreheads.(Warning: Foreheads might explode)
I really don't like that annoying arrogant kid so of course I wont even look at his card game.
