    After some <50% winrate struggling at the start of the season with thief priest, ramp druid, trying to revive control warrior (huh, it was really bad) I decided to play good-old XL mage... And that was crazy and fast skyrocket into the Diamond 5! I just feeling really happy how great it can play against aggro and that pesky beast hunters ^_^

    25 packs and one legendary (4-5 epics). worst opening ever :) but I dont mind, as got 23k dust from wild cards dusting (I never play wild), so its OK.

    Dunno, maybe will also buy 2 legendary and 20 pack bundle tomorrow, and it will be much luckier)

    But Kazakus will buff also Sylvanas on the bench. When Sylvanas comes out you have to cast the 10-speed spell in order to receive the buffs for every token dead from Kazakus. Her equipment is obviously the deathrattle one.

    What is the combo with Diablo+Kazakus? Whey people take it in starting trio?

     

    Before I was quite a fan of mercs PvP, was getting 8-10k rates in first seasons, but now I haven't played mercs for a month or two. Now tried it recently and triggore is everywhere. But whats the problem with it? I just took triple blue shadow starter and Trriggor dies first turn each time without making single damage. I have a feeling that Garrosh+Valeera+Natalie should also easy kill it (if no Mukla on enemy side).

    But yea, anyway meta is absolutely not healthy. I was thinking to level up new mercs wirth this new changes to try different interesting comps on pvp, but looks like there is no sense to do that until future patches.

    Anyone realise that new Lokolar completely wrecks all Valeera comps? Comps like GVT just conceed on first turn. It's so OP that I would say that his +4 frost equip should be nerfed, but well, blizzard never nerf mercs :)

    So I'm sure when more people will level up Lokolar, Valeera will be gone. And some comps who can oneshot protectors, like shadow-samuro maybe will get back to meta.

    Just got a monthly rewards, but they disappeared, both packs and rare/epic cards. They are not here after game restart. Is it only me or somebody else also have same problem?

    outside of spell mage, the class is dumpster tier I think.  And despite claims it’s a good deck without lunacy, I’m not so sure.  Mage has no healing.  They lost a good chunk of stall power in the rotation, and on top of that control lock is a thing which craps on every slow deck which is what spell mage is without lunacy.

     Its not a dumpster. Mordresh mage is a thing, both minion based and more classical one. Tempo mage was also taking high legend rank.

     I had 50/50 with control warrior. Was able to win only if they had bad outcome with DoL and sit with empty hand. But often they just outvalue you and you dont have so much removals to kill all their nagrand slams, water elems and other stuff each and each turn.

    Weapon rogue with Cloak of Shadows worked fine for me, went with it from Platinum till 5 Diamond very fast. It is not a hard counter, DoL mage doesnt have hard counters and can outplay an ydeck with their crazy rng, but I had 60+% winrate against them.

    Btw on 5 Diamond all spell mages completely disappeared for me, lol :D

    I took 5 diamond from platinum with weapon rogue, and I think near 70% of opponents were DoL mages. But even if weapon rogue should be hard counter anyway I had maybe 60-65% winrate against mages because of their crazy rng. Like when they play triple treants on turn3, +8/+8 pala buff and water elemental secret on t4, burst on t5 and lethal with nagrand slam on t6 (ignoring my stealth). Or like when they generate board of tokens and heal on full with shamans Tidal Wave. Thats really crazy to play against, really...

    But the nice news that after hitting diamond 5 I have faced ZERO spell mage for whole day. Looks like everybody is rushing till 5diamond on mage and then starts play for fun.

    But anyway DoL and water draw should be nerfed to make any decks fun and competitive to play, not only secret pal, face hunt and weapon rogue. Before spell mage swarmed the ladder we had quite a good meta, any class was somewhat viable for climb.
