So far? I'm not impressed. So far they all seem to be kind of samey like you said in that they aren't really creative and are just retreading themes and mechanics that were previously around at some period. I dunno, it seems like they are really dipping in quality from the previous 2 expansion. Even the art and card flavor seems off.
We've seen like 10 cards. Holy shit dude, can't you wait for like a week before judging?
Every expansion consistently:
has good cards.
has bad cards.
has cards in between.
So yes. Some cards will definitely suck ass! Others will be fantastic! Others will surprise you after launch (either direction). Please, please stop it with these nonsense threads.
I always think that those expansions must be better than the previous ones because they have less boring cards as options to print but damn I am wrong everytime.
How can you even try to ignore those monsters. They are releasing cards with effects never seen before in any card game. So yeah just accept the fact that the other cards released until now are meh.

Just ignore these users and you'll be happier. They love to make these salty pointless threads. They're going to complain in every expansion, every patch, in everything. But also, they're going to buy every possible card pack. With real money or with gold, which is also money if you think about the time you spent playing for getting it... I started doing it, and now I enjoy more this community.
This is very premature, but I will say that so far Corrupt seems pretty awkward. The mechanic seems to want to fill a niche of giving powerful high-tempo cards to midrangey decks, with the flexibility of the cards still being playable earlier on curve. The problem is, most cards with Corrupt we've seen so far are not just "a little below rate" on curve; they're unplayable awful without the Corrupt. That makes these cards risky to keep in an opening hand and horrendous top-decks. At the same time, very few of them seem to have Corrupt effects that are so powerful as to be worth the risk.
For instance:
- Casting a 2/2 Horrendous Growth on curve is often worse than just hero powering...but how good is it going to be if you slam it down as, say, a 7/7 on turn seven alongside a 4 or 5 drop? Good enough to be worth holding in your hand since mulligan? I'm not so sure. Handlock does nonsense like that, but a 4 mana 8/8 giant is a lot more of a power play than a 2 mana 7/7 a few turns later.
- Dunk Tank is a bit better in that the Corrupt actually does feel worth it (turning it into a sort of super-swipe), but four mana deal four is wildly terrible so I'm not sure it's worth either.
- We really need more corrupt cards like Day at the Faire - three recruits for three is a worse Muster for Battle but Muster was stupid-strong and this is still reasonable on curve, and getting a discount on Stand Against Darkness instead if you can manage a corrupt is really, really strong.
Is it just me or is blizzard becoming less and less and less and LESS creative with their cards. So far thumbs down for me
Must admit that the cards revealed since the original reveal have been a bit boring. Guess it’s hard to stay creative when more and more ideas are being introduced but I think the Old Gods are all pretty strong (N’Zoth maybe not so much) and will completely change the meta.

Oh yeah. Definitely. Nothing like getting a completely random game swinging effect at the end of the game. Ooh, ooh, or what about the new n'zoth? It gets you beasts, demons, and murlocs! Or maybe that new Y'shaarj, the one that gets you 0 mana copies of all the corrupted cards nobody will be playing? Thank god the game is finally headed in the right direction by pushing out sloppy card designs in a set only whales will preorder so they can play duels with their complete wild collections.

Corrupt seems like Inspire to me. I'm sure they will be strong in arena, but, save a few, will be a bust in standard and wild.

Every expansion has re prints of cards either with different stats or same mechanics but different wording or the exact same thing

Every set has these comments, every set has people asking for nerfs, you'll be part of both these groups I bet.
Better, so they are not complaining that the cards are very op, that the meta control returns and enough of unbalanced cards
No, they don't suck. Use your imagination a little bit.
Thank you.

Dazzle and dominate your foes as the Jewelcrafter!
too early to tell, honestly. A lot of the good stuff gets saved till the end. However, this take seems correct to me.

Definitely. They recycle a lot a designs as well but, thanks to rotation, you have to keep re-buying them.
I'm not sure they "suck" (in the sense that they're not going to get played), but they sure do look a bit boring.
all controlish interesting and powerfull, so far....
I fixed it for you.
